Ed do you think Ozil is lazy?
Mourinho stated he was the best number 10 he has ever managed and he is not relly setting the place alight for us.

{Ed025's Note - not lazy as such toff, but he does look disinterested at times..

I do not believe he is lazy, he just plays a different style of play to the one played by most English players. The English tend to prefer 'dogs of war' such as James Milner, rather than Ozil. 66 caps for World Cup winners Germany says it all.

He's not lazy. His stats prove that... His off ball running (Km) is up near our highest players every game. Problem is he makes it all look so easy or that he doesn't care. To me he was the best player on the pitch against palace.

Expectations are so high with him that unless he does something exceptional it doesn't get noticed. And like Sunday the commentators never give him credit for what he does. He set up giroud they said it was 'an incredible ball by Sanchez' then he put Sanchez through on the left and they claimed 'world class pass from cazorla'

So don't judge him by what he does on television. Go watch the games and watch his movement and then you'll appreciate him a lot more

Agree Elliot. I think so many people that criticise Him need to see him play and stop listening to pundits on bt or MOTD. He doesn't get the credit he deserves

The problem with the media is everyone is judged by goals. If a player scores they seem to be automatically mom. If ozil hit 15 a season everyone would be wetting themselves over him.

as i manage to make near enough every home game and some away i'm with Elliot he doesn't get any where near enough credit as he deserves and maybe that's why he is'disinterested' but you should see all the off the ball runs that guy makes to create space and his vision for the entire game is always spot on he never looses concentration 👍

Exactly JGunner. And some of his first touch passing is just on another level. His biggest problem is Giroud (now before you think I'm slating him, I really do like Giroud but he just isn't on the same wavelength as Sanchez and Ozil) and welbeck aren't able to read his passing quick enough so his through balls often go misplaced... Not because the pass was poor but mainly because our movement lacks the ability that Ozil thrives on. I mean come on there was reason CR7 hated seeing him go.
