Ed002 I know the club want to sell Mesut. Is this a club decision or is Mikel instrumental in this decision?

Hi Ed,

Can you speak to his potential replacement? Who slots into that role next season? Kokcu seems a bit young.

Thanks,

{Ed002's Note - Kokcu is no longer an option for Arsenal. Philippe Coutinho (AM/LW) after missing out on Bruno Fernandes and Hakim Ziyech Spurs have enquired after Coutinho and been told that a loan fee would €30M for a season with an option to buy at €50M at the end of the season with any loaning club paying half his wages. I would expect any interested side to look for a significant reduction in such a deal. The player is being offered around PL sides. Barcelona will have to keep him if no takers are found although with a small amount of money owed to Liverpool still there may be room for them to negotiate - but I don't expect them to be interested. Leicester might offer a solution to get him off the books - but again there would be a need for some negotiation. Right now Barcelona will likely cut their losses and get the best deal they can as soon as they can - his "representative" may look to some sort of creative deal with an English side - but that could cause a delay but the overall package might need to be something like a loan at a low fee, the player taking a cut on his €215k pw week wages, with Barcelona contributing nothing, and an obligation to buy at a lower figure at the end of next season. Matteo Guendouzi plus some cash might work.}

Hey Ed. Not that arsenal have the funds or need the player, But could you see Arsenal showing interest again in Zaha?

Also, papers are giving contradicting messages about Partey. Do you have any updates on that situation? I can only assume besides money, Partey may have concerns if we don’t get Europa and Aubameyang doesn’t sign a new deal.

{Ed002's Note - You are asking if Arsenal are showing an interest in a player they can't afford and don't need? Seems unlikely.

Thomas Partey (DM) Atletico Madrid are not looking to let him leave but AM are in a significant debt issue and know that Pblak, Llorente, Saul, Partey and Lemar are the options to open up the opportunity to raise money - yet the interest of sides is a light year from serious and Atletico will fight to keep Koke and Gimenez. Juventus have an interest in Partey but would want to have a player involved in the deal - that would be Douglas Costa ideally but AM want the €50 buy out paid in cash. Arsenal may just be able to use Lacazette as part of a deal for him, but Arsenal remain in a significant financial mess as well and really need sales before they buy.}
