So let me get this straight, we have bid £40,000, 001 (I never though I'd be saying that) for Suarez and this was to activate the clause in his contract, which says that Liverpool have to consider any bid over 40m and inform him of the bid. I'm a bit confused as to what that actually means, surely the club has to consider any bid that they receive for a player and I assume that the player would know that a bid has been put in for them? So Liverpool have rejected our bid, so what happens now?

Liverpool can consider any offer we give them so this rubbish that they have to consider over 40m is just that! Rubbish! I personally don't think we will come back with another off and I believe we will meet Madrid's price on Higuain. I can't see Wenger going to the 50m that Liverpool want and to be honest I wouldn't pay that! I would rather take Higuain for 30m and invest the other 20m on a defensive midfielder or a winger. Plus our defence is looking stretched to say the least and we are in July not December!
