Fact: Arsenal could have signed David Villa for as little as 2.3 million euros this summer

He coudlnt have signed Villa for 2.3million because Athletico gave Barca first refusal on Oliver Torres - who by the way is going to be an absolutely awesome player. we probably who needed to offer closer to 10million

Thats the price a.madrid got because they have given barca first option on a player.

its a stupid article because who says we would be getting the same deal as we won't give them first option on anyone.

Yes you have to read between the lines on this one they only got him for that fee because of the clause in having first refusal on one their brightest young players. No doubt they may have asked for something in return from us aswell if we bid this summer.

Wenger was weighing up a 20 Mill move last transfer window but Villa picked up a bad injury and with being 32 years old Wenger Had 2nd thoughts at that price so backed down, so I can understand that one.
