Sheesh, listen to you lot. 5 games in and you are writing off the most successful team of the last 20 years. Some players are out of form, new Manager, older players = disaster.

Let me remind you of last year when all on here were slating Ramsey and yet now you are wetting yourselves over him. The debate raged all year about whether Wenger should stay or go and now you are going to withe league.

Well done on signing Ozil, great player and a testament to what a difference 1 world class player can make (RVP anyone)? But I will say again, there is no stand out team this year. You guys look as good as anyone but to write United off as most of you have is nonsense.

The dodgy keeper referenced below is being scouted by Madrid, Rafael is tremendous, he may drop the odd clanger but there is no other RB we would want. You may have noticed Rooney now looks up for it so with him and RVP we will always score. Midfield remains a challenge, as it was last year and Fellaini was not the answer.

As Stoner will tell you, I have a fairly balanced view but to see some of you having United outside the top 4 is laughable.

Enjoy our discomfort while you can as I don't think it will last. The title will be between United, City, and Chelsea. 4th will be you or Spurs and I hope it's you as I have a real soft spot for Arsenal

AJH,

No one in reality is writing you off but having a laugh at your expense following the humiliation by City. We suffered following a certain 8-2 game. What is so difficult to take in Malaga's tongue in cheek banter.

The reason yourself and others are over here on this page is because RVP and Rooney to a lesser extent, are the only shining lights as your team is in a bad place and you know it.

We had used the term deadwood on this page on numerous occasions. It now litters your page. If you honestly believe that what you've achieved previously will help you this season, it seriously won't. Your boys seem to have lost some of that belief. You got mauled by City in a big way and the rest of the EPL can smell blood. They will be going for it and before you know it so will the press.

It's not just the quality of your football it's what appears to be the anxiety in the squad, RVP is Mr Angry, Rooney, does he want to be there. He wasn't great against City, nice goal but running around a lot doesn't cover up his true form.

You brought Cleverley on against City, that pretty much summed up where you are to be honest mate.

Your squad requires a proper overhaul, your world class players are no more and you don't have world class quality or close to it knocking on the door to replace them.

It will be a hard season but games you got away with winning last year look to be ones you'll lose this year.

This is my honest opinion, I'm not deluded and I'm not stupid enough to write you off long term but I think you will have a proper fight on your hands to get top 4.

You now have a run of easy fixtures to get back in it. 5 points is nothing. Moyes however didn't shower himself in glory by taking the reins of the biggest club in England, the current champions and then complaining about fixtures.

AJH, the title is wide open any 5, possibly even 6 teams could win it. The top 3 is not a certainty at all, as all 5 teams look strong! Which makes it exciting for a neutral like me.

To write off anyone at this stage is silly and you have had a tough opening regarding fixtures but you have had a lot of very ave players for a long time. The big difference is you had the AF factor that some how pulled off great things with some very ave players. Cleverly Welbeck Young maybe England players but which teams would really want them if you made them available? Add in Rio the ego and Rooney the want away you have to admit Moises does have big job on his hands. Imnot saying he won't do it but it is a massive job he has bravely taken on

Stoner

You make some fair points but do t forget fella pros put 4 United players in the PFA team of the year, none of whom was Rooney. It will be a tough year but if Moyes picks the right team / formation we will be right up there. Of course, that is a big if

5.) 24 Sep 2013
AJH but look at those 4 players, One is a keeper and other 3 are on the wrong side of 30.

Personally I would say of those 4 two RVP and Carrick were very very good other two were good but not that sure.
And this season main problem for you guys is Carrick is not performing as well as he did last year.

6.) 24 Sep 2013
Ajh, I could easily see you's finishing outside the top 4, I could just as easily see them challenging for the league. It really is a season when nothing will surprise me. Too close for any dead cert situations.

Great little debate here, without any childish slanging! It's why I keep coming back to this site day after day!

Its definately too early to be pleased with our great form at the top, or united's poor form in 8th. a lot will come down to whether we avoid more injuries in key positions, and RVP (nice to see him finally injured for another team by the way!) and Rooney can keep Man U in the fight until they can sign a few faces/turn their form around.

AJH, I can't argue with supporting your team (wish a few names on here would show a bit more of that sometimes), but having watched you play in 3 or 4 games so far, this really is the worst united I've seen. I agree you won't get through those difficult games with the inevitable end of the game win this season, without Fergie. Can see you losing 2-3 more games this year, and as we've found out recently, the top of the league starts looking a very long way away, very quickly. If I'm honest though, I'm just quietly pleased that we've a genuine shot at you for the first time in years! Says it all really!
