Loved this story in the media;

Nicklas Bendtner is back in football after signing for Wolfsburg, but the German club haven't exactly made him feel welcome.

Bendtner has signed a three-year deal after being released at the end of his Arsenal contract, but having chased Alvaro Morata, Mario Mandzukic and Edin Dzeko this summer, signing the 26-year-old is a bit of come down.

And don't they know it, with Wolfsburg trolling their new striker in the official announcement.

'We dared to touch the top shelf of players, ' Wolfsburg coach Dieter Hecking told Kicker.

'It's empty now though, so we need to look a bit further down.'

Ouch.

Bendtner has brilliantly taken the number three shirt at Wolfsburg. Yep, a striker, wearing three. Legend

An ironic number Jenny as that is his goal scoring target for the season.

Provided Wolfsburg are awarded that many penalties 2014/15

Maybe he is a big Asamoah Gyan fan (He wears 3 too). Alternatively he considers Ashley Cole a role Model. Perhaps it's his salary (like 52 was).
