Yeah I don't get it i'm confused. Ed any clarity over what's actually happening with Remy, is it literally Chelsea submitted a bid & then we did?

I can only assume he was a pretty much last resort and other targets weren't available. Otherwise we would have gone for him earlier.

Or, as Wenger said, we have too many strikers; we'll only buy one of one leaves. Maybe someone has put in a bid for a striker of ours, and we're signing remy for that reason.

Either way, not the quality I'd have hoped for, he's only good enough to be a back up for a top team IMO, but worth a punt.
