The problem with VAR is that the same useless refs are monitoring it. How on earth Lo Celso stays on the pitch following a leg breaking tackle. Listening to Hoddle's nonsense that Lo Celso was trying a drag back was idiotic.

The rule that decisions made by the ref and VAR can't be corrected are insane. Lo Celso has escaped a leg breaking tackle and that has to be wrong. And now the officials have admitted they were wrong! I believe we must fast track retiring players as the next generation of refs and pay them high salaries, refs earning in a year what many PL players earn in a week is wrong.

To pay for these salaries simply impose a small percentage tax on the wages clubs pay their players. Rant over!

In the pursuit of perfection they've ruined what wasn't broken in the first place.
We will return to referees being king again although I'm sure var will still play a much much watered down part in future football.
The absolute best thing that will come out of this whole var craziness is that referees will once again be respected for being the best they can humanly manage and 100% perfection 100% of the time will no longer be expected or demanded by fans players and managers, for a little while at least.
Football has flourished and prospered for well over 100 years as a huge spector sport, it won't survive another decade if we carry on with var as it is now that's for certain.

This ref David Coote, was also the VAR for Leicester v Man City, where he didn't give 2 pens to Leicester, for de Bruyne hand ball, Ederson's assault on Iheanacho. He did give City a pen for hand ball, I didn't see any difference between the 2 hand balls.
I think he was also VAR for Arsenal 2-2 draw with Palace early in the season, where a mysterious foul was given against Chambers Denying us a goal late in the game.
He also is one of the refs who failed a FIFA fitness test to become members of FIFA international list.

{Ed001's Note - did he fail it on eyesight by any chance?}

It isn’t a pursuit of perfect refereeing, more to assist and help make correct decisions. Although I am not a fan of British refs, surely it would help if they had a pitch side screen to watch VAR.
I believe there should be a mechanism to put right certain incidents such as the Lo Celso one yesterday. He must have a 3 match ban.
