Fingers crossed Timber gets a game before Champ League final and is fit to play.
I cannot imagine how Mosquera will handle a decent winger never mind coming up against a speedy skilful PSG player.
He has to be the most important injury listed player.
Can’t wait for Monday game.
10 May 2026 22:51:15
Just rewatched Raya's save - huge moment and great save.
1.) 13 May 2026 10:02:49
It will be the save that won us the trophy.
2.) 13 May 2026 11:45:27
I was unsure of Raya, and thought he wasn't an upgrade over Ramsdale. In fact, I thought Ramsdale might force his way back into the team. Needless to say, Arteta was right. Raya is possibly the best Arsenal keeper I can remember.
He commands his area brilliantly, and has the reactions of a cat. Whatever happens between now and the end of the season, he will deserve our Player of the Season award.
3.) 18 May 2026 10:21:10
He still has an error in him every now and then, but his overall performance covers for that, and so far such errors haven't proved costly.
10 May 2026 22:40:15
The gate on LFC page is crazy. Considering how poor they were last year and they put up the worst EPL title defence I can remember since Leicester.
Sheer lack of class from a great club.
"I'm genuinely of the belief the likes of Gary Neville should be banned from making such potentially influential comments during VAR checks. "This is massive for refereeing in this country, I think it's a foul. "
Don't tell me that didn't get in their heads.
We know these referees are jobsworths. It's not the first time I've seen a blatantly incorrect call go the same way Gary Neville suggests either. "
Absolute lunatic and moronic comment.
Say we were poor and lack ambition but the above is just rubbish and embarrassing. Concentrate on your own poor team.
1.) 11 May 2026 01:31:03
It's not fair to paint us all like that just because a comment from one fan.
10 May 2026 14:31:42
Ed, did we try to sign or have we enquired about Osimhen? Their side was talking about the massive deal he signed and that we were surprised by the financials?
{Ed001's Note - I don't know what you are talking about side being surprised etc but yes you did look at him a while back. No one would pay him close to what he asked for.}

“Someone has to take responsibility. That’s me and we have the most beautiful period of the season ahead of us. And now is the moment. In the season, you always have moments.
Normally two or three. This is the first moment that we have.”
It’s the second boss - we lost a cup final. If we are honest, a good few games also when we’ve been poor. Be honest man!

Wow! That’s some tough truth and the boss needs to look a bit at himself if we are to keep improving as we didn’t spend great last window in terms of top top class additions to starting 11. Still need a CF and LW (seriously!) .
The lack of attacking intent led L'Equipe to go as far as claiming Arteta had 'rejected his Barcelona legacy'.
They wrote: 'For a long time, it seemed PSG would lose this final without even really playing, rendered powerless, locked down by the Gunners, who threw the key into the Danube before parking their double-decker bus in front of David Raya's goal.
'Mikel Arteta's rejection of a Barcelona legacy, on the cusp of the best night of his career, can justify his defeat, as can this statistic: Havertz's goal was Arsenal's only shot on target, a sorry mess with players like these, as if this club, built on attacking football, had shed all scruples to extinguish its reputation as a loser.
'
'Can you be European champion with only one shot on target, a constantly low block, and 25% possession? Perhaps, and even certainly. But it's quite fortunate that it didn't happen this Saturday night', they added.
Arsenal were content to protect their lead despite scoring so early.
Leandro Trossard and Cristian Mosquera were the two lowest rated stars - both handed three out of ten. Ode got a 4…
Some tough love is probably what’s required for us to kick in.
Still Champions and still an amazing season.
COYG.
1.) 31 May 2026 14:30:58
And how many shots on target did the 'best attacking team' in Europe manage? Fact is, they needed penalties in the game, and, afterwards, to beat us. And, add to that, not one team beat us all year in the CL. We just got unlucky at the end. It's a fantastic platform on which to build. Success doesn't happen overnight.
2.) 31 May 2026 14:52:32
It's still Arteta's Achilles heel. We need to figure out how to win rather than not to lose.
'A boring team that did nothing but defend' - Sir Alex Ferguson.
We need to add & get stronger & braver.
31 May 2026 10:25:08
Hope the boys are ready for their victory parade and they see what the league meant to the fans.
We need to look at last night and learn. You have to have a proper RB otherwise you lose Saka or a penalty. He's no RB but had a strong game. Timber should have played.
Gabs and Rice were outfield players of the year for me and played a blinder. Not sure how or why Gabs stepped up and the boss let him ( that's a key part ) but the rest is history and I hope we learn and move on. 1st penalty as key 5th in champ league final - thanks Gabs but let me ask a few others first.
Kai was outstanding and great goal but we ultimately lacked a bit of courage to attack but we more so lacked that cutting edge up front as we had opportunities but not quite there. Vik was terrible and like against most top teams hindered us - he couldn't hold onto anything and that caused us problems. Probably not helped that no Red shirt was there to pick up the pieces.
We really lacked quality in CAM, wings and striker which was where we were last season - personally I feel what we added last year were solid SQUAD members but not enough to improve the starting 11. Noni isn't that guy, Vik isn't that guy and I don't think our style has brought Eze to the front as he's disappeared too often. Shame as Eze was the only one that excited me. The addition of Zubi has meant our defensive midfielder has pushed further forward so we are not dynamic enough with Zubi and Rice V MLS and Rice.
We have been defensive but we've achieved a lot. We should have strengthened in Jan and we should have bought better.
"The time to repair the roof is when the sun is shining" - Arteta has gotten the sun shining on our great club again, put us in places we haven't been for a while BUT has spent a fortune and needs to have a strong window to go to the next level.
What a great year! It's been a long time coming and it's a well well deserved parade!
30 May 2026 20:21:22
Tough night and a huge amount of effort and discipline. Worked really hard, pressed and defended well.
Just lacked a little special something up front / off bench at that level. Shame Timber didn’t start and better options off bench.
Gabs didn’t deserve that after the game he had and season he had. Surprised a CB was taking a pen before others.
Showed he’s a leader like Rice.
Well played Kai - I give you stick but you had some game and a great goal. Shame you had to come off. You worked your socks off!
It was lovely hearing them say English Champions.
Let’s see what the summer brings.
Disappointed Gooner but what a season in terms of accomplishments.
1.) 30 May 2026 21:56:16
Well said, Sy, mate. I'm a proud Gooner. the lads gave everything. Decs was literally screaming at the ref to have common sense and look at the screen over the pen (that was no different to the one given for them) , and that's why that boy should be our captain next season.
Heartbreaking to take, but we played our game n left everything on the pitch.
Not gunna lie tho. Eze's penalty was pish. You're not on the 18th hole, lad, you're in the Champions League Final.
Anyways, the parade tomorrow to celebrate being Champions of England! Let's have it and give the lads the party they deserve!
Come on you Gooners. ❤️ ?
2.) 30 May 2026 21:57:08
Lots to be proud of. I think we played how we needed to. Let's be honest, we could play with the same intensity as PSG if we got to rest our players when needed. It was a game of fine margins, and yes, the better team won.
But, let PSG play 38 games in the Prem and see how they play in the CL.
It is no coincidence Prem teams fall off in the knockout stages after our Xmas fixtures, when other teams get to rest players, playing in a one or 2 horse race, and I will die on that hill.
3.) 30 May 2026 22:58:28
As sad as I am, you are all fking deluded!
WE play not to lose. But we lost.
Maybe if we played to win things would be different
Antifootball logic is what we do.
4.) 31 May 2026 10:57:50
GM - I'm normally the miserable moaning person on here. I'm not Arteta's biggest fan either, but come on - that wasn't anti-football. Arteta does what he always does & doesn't go for blood. However, we got after them and stood ten toes deep in the ground, while you could argue PSG huffed & puffed. Football is attack & defence.
We did create chances, but lacked a bit of luck (penalty) , a bit of quality (Vik) , and a bit of tactics. We got caught out on a penalty because we had a CB playing FB against a top top top quality LW. That's not anti-football, but not being brave playing Timber, or unlucky, Timber was not quite ready.
30 May 2026 10:09:55
A few big decisions to make in starting 11 and tactics.
Dark arts and play to sneak a win?
Solid at back and play fast passes and press?
Timber to start?
Zubi Vs MLS
Ode or Eze
Kai or Vik
Martinelli or Trossard
For me - fast passes and press but solid and no messing at the back.
Opt for experience:
Timber, Zubi, Ode, Kai to start.
Bring MLS on with Eze etc in second half to inject a bit of forward play and Vik to expose tired legs hopefully. ?
Positive but cautious and not giving a goal away due to messing around and inviting pressure on us. So a word with Saliba and Raya plus Gabs as no short goal kicks in the box please.
We can do this! COYG.
27 May 2026 20:12:50
Timber trained today! That's great news
Has to be a starter for finsl and key player to combat their left wing offensive.
1.) 27 May 2026 21:42:36
Unless Jurrien is the modern-day incarnate of Steve Austin (not the wrestler, let's see who understands that one) , we just need to roll the dice with Mosquera at RB and simply accept that Kvaratskhelia is arguably the best LW on the planet and will roast whoever Arsenal plays at RB on an occasion or two.
2.) 27 May 2026 22:25:06
"We can rebuild him. We have the technology. We can make him better than he was. Better, stronger, faster."
If he's fit, it's Timber for me! Won't be disappointed to see Mosquera line up though!
Always had it in for Lee Majors as he married my first crush! COYG.
3.) 27 May 2026 23:00:01
Well done, sir. ?
And, yes, I'd go with Timber if he can hit.. say 80% fit.
And, Good Lord, Miss F was quite stunning, wasn't she? ?
4.) 27 May 2026 23:15:24
Stone Cold truth is, we need Timber, as Mosquera is a lump of a CB and no fullback, despite Arteta putting him there. Too slow, doesn't think like a fullback, turning circle like BFG, and not mobile enough.
He will get leg dropped like a Hulk Hogan challenger, and will need an Undertaker by halftime. We need a solid Rock at the back, with the spirit of a Warrior, an Ultimate Warrior.
5.) 27 May 2026 23:35:44
I had those same thoughts re: Mosquera SY, but felt he acquitted himself well enough against Burnley.. At least enough to the point that he wouldn't be a massive liability, even against Kvara. I hope whoever winds up defending him chews him up and spits him out like a Junkyard Dog.
6.) 28 May 2026 07:54:17
?? Took my son to a wrestling rumble, I believe the youngsters call them, at MEN Arena, and I started a Ric Flair Wooo! He thought I was God that night. ?? COYG.
7.) 28 May 2026 18:28:03
Farah Fawcett, Lancashire mate. ?
For some reason, as a young teenage boy, I always preferred to watch Charlie's Angels on my portable TV in my bedroom when Farah was in the show. ????
8.) 29 May 2026 11:04:31
Morning 46! Glad you are back posting, although please tell me it was because the main TV was broken each time Charlie`s Angels was on, because the alternative does not bear thinking about. COYG.
9.) 29 May 2026 14:59:44
Hi Devonshire, mate.
Back then Farah's beauty wasn't lost on any man or boy I knew.
22 Jul 2025 23:04:00
Definitely have more options up our sleeve which will hopefully give Arteta more in game tactical change options which he or the team lacked in past 3 years. Plus hopefully the squad and young manager are more wise also. Boss has done well over past 5 years but inexperience / stubborness / bottle to go for wins has cost us. That’s part of learning and he does love the club. If he gets Eze then zero excuses and huge hope for the season.
14 Jul 2025 21:43:14
One of my favourite players from yesteryear and a lovely guy - Sammy Nelson. Keep your shorts up ?
That’s exciting and at the risk of sounding negative, despite Dublin saying a similar thing, that would complete our window and make it an excellent one. It can’t be excellent without addressing the lw hole esp when buying Noni. That would be pretty awesome but also what was required if we are real.
Fingers crossed
So did you think we would win those prior 3 seasons Dublin. Coming second is not competing if it’s over come Jan or March. Not in a competitive world anyway. May be for you and hence I clarified exactly what I meant by top 2. Not negative but clearly communicating and truthful. You could argue the year before but did you really think we were going to win it?
14 Jul 2025 08:40:17
Sorry but what’s negative about thst expectation - top 2 and a trophy?
My expectations are high due to the window and past few years.
14 Jul 2025 00:04:56
My expectation is more attacking play and more goals.
Proper competing for title to the last week with a belief we can actually win it.
I don’t mean 2nd like the last 3 years but actually believing we could win this right till the end.
So - Top 2 and a trophy.
13 Jul 2025 23:42:12
Think he will take TH14 or DB10 shirt?
09 Jun 2026 20:07:11
Exactly! Enjoy your week.
08 Jun 2026 23:01:37
Hope you are good, Sussex, and thanks for the back & forth. I'd be happy with a good young CF who has pace that rotates with Vik, or is plan B. We deffo need a proper LW, as Noni isn't a LW or a starter.
We need to get the ball forward faster - maybe Vik does better, but we need options other than him & Kai.
Glad you are seeing sense. I was throwing names out, as there are options.
08 Jun 2026 22:53:49
It's no lead not no leads. ?
07 Jun 2026 23:25:59
Did you just put Vik in the same conversation?. ?
Martinez - that would be quality & Alvarez (put a tasty bid in & see - London very different to Manchester) ?
Kane
Konate
Openda
I'm sure, if we look proper and spend money, they are there if the boss really wants a proper striker.
07 Jun 2026 23:06:51
Okay - so Barcola, Kroupi & Rogers.
That gives us momentum, forward motion & something new. Quick feet & quick brains.
Certainly give us options and a different look - Vik only scored 11 non-penalty goals in the EPL, and not against a top side. So, for me, he needs to be on the bench / rotate.
Maybe Ode or Eze will be allowed to pass forward & not be in the back 4. If that's the case, we stop being a fiddler & play Rice as DM & buy a better partner who complements him better, like MLS does, but an upgrade. Perhaps we free up a CM to be sold, like Merino or Kai, etc. Why pay 105m & not play Rice in his best position? If we need to up the energy, is Zubi that guy? He had a great season & a strong start, but is this square pegs round holes by the boss? Not sure I want MLS as our #1 partner, but great back up for a busy season, or will Zubi last the pace of the EPL?
The boy is on a huge wage in Turkey, but let's see.
Bournemouth signed a winner.
Adeyemi / Mbappe? I'm sure there are strikers out there & if we pay 65m plus 280k PW for Kai, then no reason we can't soank 350k on a WC player. Need to adjust our criteria, as work hard defensively ain't a striker's main skill, yet the boss loves that Vs goals.
