Put Bielik on bench tomorrow?
Why not, what the hell.
Pele was ripping up the World Cup at 17.
Plus, we were not exactly overrun with athletic DM's are we.

Not Arsenal related really, but Every time I see Dwight Gayle play he reminds me of a young Ian Wright.
17 Jan 2015 22:50:30
Both players have played for Arsenal, how is that not Arsenal related
17 Jan 2015 22:56:13
Very good striker.
Under used and under rated.
He's good but he's at his level.
Ah I knew I recognised his name when he moved from Peterborough to palace. He was in our youth academy no?
The lad continually out grows his level Derby mate, from Dagenham to Peterborough to Palace he has scored lots of goals and been sold on for huge profits so far in his career and I don't think he's anywhere near peaked yet
18 Jan 2015 17:02:04
Correct Saint
17 Jan 2015 21:33:30
I'd take a draw right now. The teams around us winning has put pressure on. We need at least one decent signing before the end of Jan or his top4 record could go. If I was him I'd sign two players to be safe not counting bielik
I can only see us letting in at least three or four, away from home can we score more. i'm a poet and I don't know it. I'm not putting my house on a result tomorrow.
17 Jan 2015 22:58:51
I think they will miss Birthday cake boy and I'm hoping Aguero and lightbulb head (Kompany) will not be match sharp.
2-2 (Sanchez/Giroud).
To late Steve I've already bet your house on a 0 2 Arsenal win and Monreal to score both, if it comes off I'll give you a £100, but if it doesn't you've got till Thursday to get out mate.
Might seen harsh but the bookie's wanted you out by Monday originally but I thought hard to get youan extension, don't you dare thank me silly its the least I could do
Light bulb head haha. Saw him play at 16 you could tell he had a bright future. Love his interviews always sheds some light on the situation
I'll get the winnebago out of mothballs then gunner. I hope the weather forcasters wrong, it going to be a long winter.
17 Jan 2015 19:50:58
Aguero versus Sanchez.
Apart from alien versus predator, it doesn't get any better.
Unless they both played for us!
17 Jan 2015 19:42:55
Bad results from today! Hope tomorrow will be better day
17 Jan 2015 19:52:12
Got a feeling, come tomorrow, its going to be a bad weekend for us.
To expect to win at the etihad is too much but dreaming is free.
Love the thought of what a win tomorrow would do for everyone, breaking the big club inferiority thing would be like winning a trophy it would do so much for us all every player and fan alike
17 Jan 2015 20:50:19
It could kick-start our season.
It would kick start our decade mate, not going to old Trafford or playing chavski at home thinking its a forgone conclusion because it always is, that would be over once and for all.
Like I say dreaming is free and every once apon a time even really big one's come true.
Nothing wrong with hope it's the expectations that make you cry
17 Jan 2015 18:26:26
Interesting / worrying quote
"He’s not a defender. At the moment we are more looking for the defensive department, ”
Talking about who/what?
17 Jan 2015 16:53:27
Think we need to put Ozil and Theo on the bench tomorrow while running with Ox, Rosicky and Santi with Coq in the middle covering the back four
17 Jan 2015 20:52:40
I would go with that.
17 Jan 2015 15:57:32
I'm no fan of Wenger and I believe it is time for him to go but thank god we don't have LVG as our manager. The guys an arrogant douche and an unbelievably poor manager.
17 Jan 2015 16:49:59
You are so right - Wenger has done absolutely nothing for Arsenal. Nothing in terms of our facilities, players, history, stadium, world standing, brand, future standing, trophies, unbelievable players, style of football. . :)
Please tell me where I have said he did nothing?
Oh yes, I didn't. Now pipe down.
Manu will finish above us tho. Said it from day 1
SY4
Don't bark on about trophies.one in how many years, stop living on yesteryear
Stadium, training ground and other bits yes, but trophies needn't be mentioned.
17 Jan 2015 18:09:39
Perhaps G95 it is the fact you need to mention Wenger in a post about a cock who manages a completely different team.
17 Jan 2015 18:13:55
If you recognised he had done even half of the above - surely you would be a fan
17 Jan 2015 18:20:07
BG - he has brought success and trophies. Has he not? FA Cups, Doubles, League Trophies.
Yes we struggled in the "budget" years when the rich clubs bought success but you can't say he has not produced the goods over his reign
You cannot wipe those from the record books even if you blame him for the weather and everything bad that happens nowadays
He has been and will be a great manager again
I am not saying he is perfect and I am happy not winning - but winning feels good because it's difficult to win things ask Spurs!
Who has blamed him for the Weather, I can't even blame him for the wifes car not starting.
But on the trophy hunt in the new era, he HAS NOT been successful.
And if he doesn't change his thoughts on players to buy and how much to spend then it will be sometime before we see the title again.
And a 17 year old kid won't do it, that is for sure .
17 Jan 2015 19:09:49
Why is that you Wenger out boys can come on here day after day after day after day after day spouting the same whinging, whining moaning bow locks but when someone doesn't agree with your opinion we must pipe down or be living in yesteryear.
17 Jan 2015 19:53:38
The gloves are off me thinks :-)
He must pipe down because I didn't say he has done nothing for the club. I stated that I am no longer a fan of Wenger but I'd much rather have him than LVG. I realise what Wenger has done for this club. He is arguably our greatest ever manager. However he is still, as your posts prove, living off past achievements. He is no longer a top manager capable of winning major trophies. I have explained why numerous times on here so I am not going to waste my time saying it again.
We are entitled to our opinion as are you. Just don't take things in my post out of context to suit your love for AW.
17 Jan 2015 20:56:18
I think G95's original post has been taken out of context.
It was a slight pop at Wenger, a view he is entitled to express, but I think the post was more a dig at the miserable LVG.
That's exactly what it was. I used the fact that I am no longer a Wenger fan to portray how much I dislike LVG because I'd much rather still have Wenger than LVG.
17 Jan 2015 21:25:21
So saying I'm not a Wenger fan but I'd rather have him than that circus clown at Old Gashford would have been what you meant to say then.
It's difficult to differentiate a simple statement like that with so much petty guff thrown at Wenger.
Most of which is perpetual ar5e to be honest.
Wenger will get a statue. Too bad about the need for sponsors as it would be perfect to name the stadium after him as well.
{Ed025's Note - i happen to agree rooster..
This statement implies what I meant. I could have possibly worded it better.
You are entitled to your opinion on AW like I am entitled to mine. You seem to try to be picking an argument over a nothing statement on LVG here.
17 Jan 2015 23:09:27
Not in the least G95 I just didn't get why you mentioned Wenger whilst talking about that total A hole at United.
Just seemed like more bashing for the sake of it.
I genuinely have no snag with people who want Wenger out it just gets beyond menotinous every day reading a slightly rehashed version of something from the day before.
Some people I think actually just spend time thinking what bow locks they can come up with next.
It's just like ffs get over it. That isn't aimed at you.
17 Jan 2015 23:38:22
Red Dog,
Me and you apart, there are only a few pro Wenger boys on here.
I admit, I'm slightly being blown off course, but keep fighting the fight mate.
Respect.
Wenger has been a glorious manager, and aside from Bergkamp, Henry and have to admit Fabregas - probably my favorite Gunner.
Like Dags I waiver on him from time to time and he does frustrate the base but he is still better than almost any manager out there and definitely preferable to any of the 17 others in EPL!
{Ed025's Note - im with you rooster..
Fight fight fight! At least i'm not involved this time.
Look what happens when i'm not here for a few hours.
17 Jan 2015 10:35:36
Wenger says this kid Bielek will go straight into the first team, at 17 it shows a lot of trust in the guy, I think it was at the same age that Fabby came into the team and once he was there, he didn't lose his spot.
I'm really hoping Bielek can do the same, considering he's a CDM he has the advantage of being one of the only defensive midfeilders we have at the moment! And from what I've seen he's got the makings of a top class CDM in years to come.
let's give him a chance, I'm not happy that we probably won't sign a top class CDM in this window, but imagine the scenes if he turns into our saviour at the tender age of 17/18! (Without trying to overhype the kid up haha)
I find that hard to believe but if it really happens I hope he is a revelation and we are all proclaiming Arsene's genus once again.
Its an incredible risk to take so I am struggling to believe it will happen
If you're good enough, you're old enough!
This kid has physical size and strength on his side that's for sure.
As long as they feed him the same dinner as Sanchez he will be a regular within weeks :-)
I believe he meant this as in to train with the 1st team as opposed to starting XI or Bench.
AW is quoted as saying he is in the squad for tmrw, which is strange as they haven't even officially anounced the signing-?? -
Puzzled
Hard to believe a 17 year old kid who has a grand total of 5 appearance's in the polish league is going to be making his debut for Arsenal in the EPL against city at the etihad.
Roy of the Rover' (fantasy football) or One flew over the cuckoos nest ( straight jacket for Mr Wenger please)
17 Jan 2015 16:03:57
kids played a handful of games in a league comparable to the championship, he cost £2m, and how many other self-proclaiming top clubs were after him? exactly NONE.
is he good enough to play for ARSENAL against MAN CITY in the PREMIER LEAGUE?
no, not even close.
I'm up for future investment but the fact he's going straight into the first 18 is an absolute joke.
People going a bit over the top with their judgements of Bielik. Saying its a joke is too strong. We have no idea how good he is, and since when have we stopped trusting wenger on his acquisitons of youngsters.
Judge him on his performances and the chances he gets given, which we all assume he will get very few. But if he gets into the first 18 it has to be based on merit and that he is actually really good.
Its extremely likely he won't play tomorrow anyway, but if he does at any point, give him some backing man!
I doubt very much its going to happen Original, as much as I doubt Arsene's ability to make us truly competitive ever again I can't see he's gone that crazy
17 Jan 2015 17:06:36
Henrynostalgia,
Please try not to be so sensible and level headed in your posts, you need to start looking for the negative in any and every post or just start a negative one yourself.
If you can mention Wenger and wanting him out, being clueless or blame him for something then all the better. ;-)
{Ed025's Note - your right red dog...far too sensible and optimistic mate...i have put him on a warning.. :)
I'm guessing we all know better than AW, I'm presuming he was just sitting at home eating his burger king and thought I know, I'll pay 2m quid for this kid on the strength of his YouTube videos and stick him straight in our team.
Unbelievable anyone would think we haven't tracked him and watched him, and as for no other team wanting him, please! No other team wanted Henry, fabregas, koscielny, Anelka, viera, or petite to name but a few.
How old was fabregas when he made his debut? Wilshere? Theo? Ox? Ramsey? Gibbs?
17 Jan 2015 17:40:04
Thanks ed,
Let's hope he heeds it because there's no place for stuff like that on here. :-)
So who's going to be left out of the 18 to make way :-) it isn't going to happen
18 Jan 2015 01:15:57
Id give the kid a shot over Flamini anyday
16 Jan 2015 20:00:28
Hi Ed002. Weird question, but would you by any chance know what type of vehicle Arsene Wenger drives? :D
{Ed002's Note - It is definitely a car.}
He is thinking of changing it, but only if a better vehicle is available at the right price, it's hard in january
AW is running a campaign to get the selling of cars banned in January.
17 Jan 2015 10:32:36
He doesn't like driving because he can never undo his seatbelt.
Sorry, poor attempt at a 'zip' joke.
If you've got zips on your seatbelts, god help your pupils, do you handcuff them to the steering wheel, and punish them when they don't pass?
He likes all the gears but always aims and happiest in 4th
{Ed025's Note - i like that caveman..
17 Jan 2015 19:07:20
Of course 337, lol.
Top post caveman, very funny :-)
16 Jan 2015 16:55:58
Couple of questions (for the Eds to answer, if possible) re wage bills, outgoings, FFP etc. -
1) with Poldi and Sanogo out on loan, how much is the club set to save a week? heard a lot of talk about the 90k weekly wages for Lukas but wasn't sure how true that all is
2) if the team can overcome the challenge that is Monaco in the last sixteen, what's the additional revenue on reaching the QFs in the Champions' League?
Thanks
{Ed002's Note - We are not going to discuss wages. Prize money for the remaining rounds is:
Round of 16: €3,500,000
Quarter-finals: €3,900,000
Semi-finals: €4,900,000
Losing finalist: €6,500,000
Winning finalist: €10,500,000
Thanks

I think the coqs performance against citeh, will be make or break as far as scrooge going out to sign cover there. If he doesn't cope, then that could sway him, if he does he will wait.
17 Jan 2015 03:33:21
I was thinking exactly the same, have to say I have been impressed so far but this will be his first really big test so let's see.
Got a horrible feeling he 'll get sent off
Tomorrow is a massive test for him and if he passes it with flying colours then he should retain the job for the rest of the season at least, and why wouldn't he?
Its a big ask of a relatively inexperienced player at this level but who knows, he's all we got so fingers eyes and ears crossed for the lad I just hope he gets more help than Flamini got at Anfield
17 Jan 2015 09:50:59
I think the Coq is going to rip them a new one.
Sounds like a porno.
Only in your world dags :-)
Agreed, and I must be honest I never saw him making it as regular in our team but the last few performances he has really impressed me. Hopefully he can keep on improving as looks like he could be quality!
If he doesn't get sent off, which I also fear Carlisle, I think he'll do well.
