BFG is starting to stamp his authority on the match in both boxes now

I think Wenger's public backing and the public approval has helped

Right now, he's got to be in the conversation for best central defender in the world

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Its difficult to name any one better so far this season US that's for sure

Agree0 Disagree0

One of my favourite players and I got slated last year saying to drop Tommy for Per. Not saying I told you so but just real happy that Per is proving a lot of people wrong as is Ramsay.

Give Per the armband as he leads, stays cool, inspires and loves the club.

Centrehalf pairings should be one of Kos or Tommy as back up with Per or Sagna as back up. Although I think we need a seasoned centrehalf rather than Sagna to partner Kos or Tommy as they need to boss them around so that they hold their position better

Good news for us is Theo may be back this weekend. All he has to do now is learn how to cross a ball over shoulder height from the wing! Has anybody else noticed that he struggles when crossing the ball. It's been going on since he's been at Arsenal you would have thought they would have got that under control by now,

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Totally agree. TBH, I would rather see him play striker. That way he will a) make use of his explosive pace b) score loads of goals c) won't have to play any accurate crosses

Agree0 Disagree0

I think every wide player we have ever had under wenger struggles with crosses

Clicly
Cole
Sagna
Jenko
Gibbs
Walcott

Never been much of a problem as never had much of an aerial threat but now we do with giroud we should address this problem,
The number of great positions our backs and midfields get in to cross is amazing but the final ball always let's them down hopefully this will be addressed soon

Agree0 Disagree0

Have to disagree guys, Theos goals last season came mostly from the wing, I say give him 45-60 minutes then bring on Gnabry

Agree0 Disagree0

If Theo had a brain it would make all the difference, pace only gets him clear, he doesn't know what to do then.

Agree0 Disagree0

Rue I agree he should be played down the middle, top scorer last year and has it in him to be again, plus running at people he Will win loads of free kicks and pens as defender's struggle to deal with his pace.
Oh and I do mean win them not con them, just to make that clear

Agree0 Disagree0

Theo can't play with his back to goal. He needs to be part of a 442 or play inside right so to speak
Giroud brings midfield into play and let's them run ahead of him.
Moving from Giroud to Theo would be too big a change without a significant change in formation - who would play up front with him?

Agree0 Disagree0

Completely agree with SY4,

Theo would be perfect in a 4-4-2 with Giroud or Podolski, but I don't see him being able to play the lone striker role.

No aerial threat, and not good playing with his back to goal. He can definitely be a game changer though.

Trinidad-Gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

Must just be me but times last season Theo reminded me a litle bit of Henry with some of his finishing.
I am not saying he will ever be Henry but I'd settle for 70% as good

What would you guys think of a January transfer window of Eliaquim Mangala a quality young CB from Porto, Ravel Morrison from the Hammers as TR7's long term replacement and Saido Berahino from West Brom.

Three quality players, all under 22 and two more British boys to add to our core.

I'm sure Arsene will have completely different players in mind but they are 3 young guys for the not to distant future and Ravel seems to have put his early career distractions behind him.

I know everyone is excited that Walcott is fit and ready for Sat, however I would rather have Gnabry start ahead of Walcott. Gnabry deserves a chance.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree with you Mark. Unless he starts at CF, I would pick Gnabry ahead of him

Agree0 Disagree0

Nabs deserves a run now tr is out always looks sharp

Agree0 Disagree0

Gnabry did more than enough in his games early in the season to get a chance

Agree0 Disagree0

Gnarby is on his way to big things but let's not expect it too much to soon.
Yes I think he should have come on at utd and that he should get a lot more minute's as the season goes on.
For me Theo is ahead of him but Gnarby looks like he is closing in fast which is good for both players and for every one else who loves the club

I can see that the Draxler rumours are going to be a photocopy of the Higuain rumours of last season. I hope not . As that went on and on and on. I hope Arsenal learnt a lesson from last summers transfer window and keep tight lipped about who they want etc. and just move in for their targets .As it seemed to me that every player they outwardly showed an interest in last season the players price suddenly sky rocketed or other clubs jumped on the bandwagon and nicked them from under their noses.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I agree totally, it won't happen.

France today:)
Unfortunately, Giroud and Kos weren't in the lineup today to sweeten today's victory

Giroud and Sagna came on for the last 10 minutes, just in time to get the confidence boost of qualifying for the World Cup. Kos was banned from his red card in the last game.

All in all apart from Mert, who scored a great goal, pretty much all our guys had nice little rest.

Agree0 Disagree0

Actually, I was pleased that Kos didn't play and that Giroud didn't start, as the rest will do the pair good. I am also pleased that France qualified, as I have a feeling that Wenger may be off to manage France at the end of his current contract and France failing to qualify, may have made this more possible. Wenger will be almost 65 years of age following the World Cup Finals and assuming France don't win it, which I very much doubt they will, then I can see him taking up the post.

Who would love to see Cristiano Ronaldo in an arsenal shirt? Jeez, that guy is unbelievable. 5 Hat-tricks already this season, amazing.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Cristiano = Total Football

Agree0 Disagree0

How can a player with a complete lack of defensive responsibilities and overall team work be classed under the term total football?

Overrated who needs him when we have up and coming NB52

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree with term being wrong, but CR is like an alien breed of footballer, a whole level above any other player on the planet, and I don't like him!

With him in any team you wouldn't worry about him defending as he will keep two or three of their players busy, and you've got 10 other players to defend for you.

Agree0 Disagree0

"lack of defensive responsibilities?" who cares when he scores you 50 or 60 goals a season.
