I couldn't have been more right about Match Of The Day. Even though they never outwardly caned us they still had to have a dig at us by running what I would call a moody poll about who will finish where and had us in 4th. Bunch of to**ers.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Gold, its Christmas, just think of all those lovely prezzies you are going to open and chill out brother lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes my mate. You are right . Only problem here is I'm the one that has to buy them. Even my own! and I have to look surprised! What i'm going to do now though is play the recording of Spurs beating Southampton and I can have that surprised look on my face all day! Smiles!

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm not sure why they are so anti Arsenal its a bit difficult to understand but a win tomorrow and gong on to win our next 2 would put us in a great position at the half way stage and them in a bit of a hole.
I wonder if they would have another poll if we do :-) thought not.
Hey ho we are THE ARSENAL and they are match of the day the music is still class shame about the presenters and pundits

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol Golds.

G62, let them keep on doubting us mate, as long as us Gooners keep the faith, that's all that matters mate.

Biggest game of the season so far on Monday.

I've just read Bergkamp's autobiography and they way he talks about that United cup semi final in '99 (when he missed the penalty and Giggs scored) and although that was much later on in the season it could be similar. The heads dropped and we went on to lose the next game v. Leeds (Hasselbaink goal 1-0) and with it the title.

If we had beaten them, he reckons we win the FA Cup and also the Prem, whereas United won the treble.

Huge game and I fancy our chances, we've been brilliant when well rested.

I cannot put up with anymore comments from MOTD pundits, let's finally get the psychological upper hand.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Agree Paul, we need to remain focused. there's a long way to go but every point counts from now.

Do you remember that moment when you 'came of age' and became a man? Yeah me too. There was this gorgeous young lady talking to another fella. I walked straight up to her and with all the confidence in the world, looked her in the eye and said, "I'll have a pint of lager and a packet of dry roasted please." Ahh that was a good day. The Arsenal experienced this in the champions league away at Dortmund, but as yet haven't had that 'coming of age' moment in the Prem. With losses to both united and city we now have another opportunity against chavski tomorrow. It's not just about the points, it's about making a point. From turning us from pretenders (in some peoples eyes, and rightly so) to contenders. I don't want to hear anymore Arsene having to come out after a match of this significance with comments like "we were nervy." Time for us to grow up, time to mature, time to come of age.

I also remember when I came of age as a woman. It was about three months after the operation and I walked into a posh clothes shop. The women who worked there looked down on me as I had such big hands and a 5 o'clock shadow, so they wouldn't serve me. I felt exactly like Julia Roberts did in Pretty woman, just a far larger version of her. So I turned to them and. maybe I'll leave this story for another time.
COME ON YOU GOONERS.
Flybo

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Flybo, I am so worried about you mate.
I believe you are just a little bit confused, are you a man? are you a woman? we don't know. you don't know.
But hey, you are a true Gooner, be you a man or woman, its ok my friend, you have nothing to be ashamed of because we all love you Flybo.

Flybo for President I say.

On AW's call for the scrapping of away goals rule, I think he has half a good point. Lol

The way the rule stands right now it actually slightly favours the team that is away in the second leg as they have 120 mins to get the away goals of it goes to extra time. The team away in the first leg have a maximum of 90 mins to get an away goal

That's all ignoring injury times though.

I think it should be limited to goals scored in normal time inc injury time but not applied to goals scored in extra timeto balance the benefit out.

Totally agree Sooper

Agree0 Disagree0

Its better than penalties and I doubt we will replace it with anything that works better.
Golden goal? I hated that.maybe corners as they used to use in 5 aside years ago. Most corners over both legs or shots on target, but maybe stay as we are I think

Really looks strange I think we need to abs win on Monday, if we do not although just a point behind we will be in 4th, and that will open flood gates again for doubts.

Anyone watch MOTD and see their voting poll on who will win the league?
Liverpool
Man city
Arsenal
Can only assume a high percentage of viewers were Liverpool fans

Believable0 Unbelievable0

Now now gunner, I didn't even vote lol, but seriously you can take polls like that with a pinch of salt. You lot beat chelsea and we lose to city it will all change again. Tbh in my opinion any side in the top 6 who goes on a decent run can win it. Bookies not usually too far off though lol. I backed us at 25/1 at start of season so I'll be keeping everything crossed ha ha. Merry xmas to all, YNWA

Agree0 Disagree0

Do Liverpool fans realise you are allowed to end a sentence without YNWA?!

My favourite crisps are salt and vinegar. YNWA.

Most fickle fans in the league up there, ridiculous how the Suarez situation has turned around with some clever PR.
Just read how his new contract includes a clause to let him go to Barca or Madrid! Sounds like he really wants to stay.
YNWA

Agree0 Disagree0

Merry Christmas Simon and if we don't win the tittle I certainly hope you win your bet mate.

When I saw the poll I expected city chelski us then yourselves if i'm honest, my rose coloured glasses must be in need of a very good polish if 65% of the public think Liverpool have more chance than Arsenal.
OK no matter how I try I'm going to be biased to us to some degree so even 50/50 would have made me scratch my head a bit but 2 out 3? Hence my conclusion lots of Liverpool fans or I'm in need of a very good psychiatrists :-) :-) :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

@ Paul, I think I managed 5 without throwing it in there ha ha. I only put it on because it was a xmas wish anyway. I'm not fickle I call it as I see it. Not too optimistic or pessimistic, more a middle of the rd kinda guy. I'm unconcerned about his contract tbh, I'll enjoy him while he's here. It's a win win for both Liverpool and Suarez. If he helps us win the league, qualify for champions league he'll be adored, if not he can walk away with his head held high for giving his best. He'll either stay and be a legend or he'll get his dream move and we will be suitably reimbursed to help progress the side. Like I said its a win win for all concerned.
As for Arsenal, I spent many a wknd at Highbury with my Uncle so if I was fickle I'd be supporting you lot by now ha ha. Y. ha ha

Agree0 Disagree0

PAUL. I've got to pull rank here. My brother in law is from Liverpool and I have met quite a few of his mates too. This is how it goes " ya know " Um aahh ya know lad. ALSO " Did ya see Swaaaarezzz lad? " and no matter what you say they have done it, just about to do it, or done it better. Gets on my tits!

Agree0 Disagree0

Agree G62, totally mate.

Simonpw, great assessment on Suarez mate. You are correct what you say, if he stays it will be a massive gain for you boys but if he goes, financially you win get millions.
Personally, I hope he stays, fed up with all our players going abroad to inferior leagues.

Arsene asked for away goal rule to be done away with

The worst rule in sports

He's a legend folks, he gets it right again

There is only one Arsene Wenger folks

When our bones are dust and time has passed on by, they will still know his name

and go back to teams playing for 0-0 away leg, no thanks.

Agree0 Disagree0

Usually I agree with Wenger, but not in this case.
However, I would like to see zero points for 0-0 draws.

Agree0 Disagree0

2 points for a score draw the best option I feel

Dags. Here is a fact . About 12 years ago I was working on an advert in Southall. Walkers crisps. Anyhow, It was in between takes and Lineker was sitting there and because of the job I had I was able ( big deal! ) to speak to him and I asked him who was the best player he had played against. Well let me tell everybody this! Nobody, but nobody could tolerate him . He was so rude it was unreal. I think! He said to me after a while, Ian Wright, or Paul Merson, he was so rude and up himself I can't remember clearly now. But I do remember people saying what a person he was. I would have called him more than that.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

I think the Eds edited what type of person he was! but it started with an A and finished with hole . Lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Goldboy, I believe you mate, he does come across a bit like that even on MOTD
