Happy St Totteringham's day everyone unless by some miracle the spuds score over 26 goals in their next 3 games and we score none. Congrats to Chelsea.

Question.

Are Chelsea better than us or is it just Mourinho is better than Wenger?

Believable1 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - they had a better side at the start of the season dags..

04 May 2015 07:22:44
When a club has had ten years buying at Harrods whilst another has been buying at Aldi there will not be parity in players.

Whilst Mourinho has had one over on Wenger because of this then only over the coming years will we know if it's the real thing.

Would this Mourinho or previous Mourinho Chelsea's have gone 13 unbeaten against the Invincibles, a team with parity.

Not a chance. The same goes for Fergie. Would he have 20 titles if Abramovich had purchased Arsenal. Not a chance.

Some respect for our manager and his ability and achievements is at times sadly lacking.

Ed,

I think they have been better than us the whole season.

Maybe not as entertaining, but certainly more methodical.

As they say, "job done".

That's an excellent question Dags, a bit uncomfortable but excellent all the same.
Their head to head records show mourinho to be the better tactition and motivator to date and I think next season with both sides having a great base to build on and both able to spend within limits will tell us if Arsene can finally out smart and out score his arch rival

I am with you Red - wenger should get more recognition

I congratulate Roman for steering Chelsea to another title in a short space of time due to his vast wealth but I have to recognise The Special one as they do seem to be far more successful under him as a club so he is doing something right although not always how the general public would like the game played or sky subscribers ( who need to be kept happy or the house of cards fall - hence we all can't play like that ) plus a few unplesant characters in the Team
Well done Chelsea and here's to us pushing you to the last game of next season and hopefully lifting the trophy that the club, Manager, players and fans deserve

Anyone that can win the champions league with inter Milan must have something about him. I believe any team he joins he improves them. Debate over boring etc is still out but he will always do a job

03 May 2015 21:03:13
Congrats to Chelsea.

You don't win the league by fluke, not 38 games.

They are not everybody's cup of tea, but they are the best team in prem.

Well deserved.

{Ed025's Note - i agree dags..

Anyone seen CTR? Where is he when you want him.
I guess he must be checking on whether he can return his European road Atlas for a full refund if its not used within the trading standards 365 day cooling off period.

{Ed025's Note - good stuff G62..

04 May 2015 08:41:11
g62,

Not even sure why you bother mate, in the Fergie era he did nothing but attempt to take the rip out of Arsenal.

Post Fergie he and the rest have struggled with mediocrity and he hates, as I said, that we are looking way more of a team than United despite his protestations.

He is clinging to the hope as all United fans are, that they will return to past glories.

Maybe the will, maybe they won't, personally I could care less but learning some humility never hurt anyone.

Isn't there an old saying about being nice to people on the way up because you'll meet them again on your way down.

His post I copied from the United page last week shows exactly the guy he is mate.

You don't have to like someone to admit they've done a good job although of course its easier if you do.
I dislike the mourinho who returned to the premier league a lot but it doesn't stop me appreciating what a fantastic job he's done at chelsea since returning.
I understand not everyone is able to rise above the rivalry and congratulate chelsea on a job at times brilliantly and at other times very effectively and professionally done but if you can't find it in you to say well done then least said the better in my opinion.

Your right you don't have to like someone to appreciate them

Well done this season Giroud, well done.

62 - I agree but if I was Roman, I would expect a lot more given the money I had invested over the years. I want to win but win in style. He has invested a ridiculous amount if money.

Gunner62,

I agree this year and in the off season he did a great job. They played great the first half of the season and when their big players tired in the second half, got injured, suspended, Mou was pragmatic.

Last season though Mou underperformed when Chelsea really ought to have won the title - little horse nonsense aside.

I hate mou, he is a terrible winner and a worse loser. Ditto John Terry. I am not happy they won, but hats off Chelsea deserved the title and won it in a lot of ways - sexy at the start grinding out results at the end.

Worthy champions as a team, they just have two or three personalities that you cannot cheer for.

{Ed025's Note - fair points there james mate..

03 May 2015 18:59:42
I said a while ago the league misses fergie. I don't see any manager right now In the prem that can topple him. Fergie and howard webb would of had a proper go.

Congrats to Chelsea FC!

They played awesome in the first half of the season. Second half they parked the bus.

I don't really like the way but full credits to them and Jose! He really knows how to win. :)

Well done to Chelsea, can't say they haven't deserved it. Played some fantastic football in the first half of the season, and did what Champions do in the second half of the season, win games and get over the line.

However, things could have been very different. Those two games v QPR and Stoke where goalie errors won them 6 points. Could have made for a very exciting end to the season if we beat Chelsea.. Oh well.

Believable2 Unbelievable1

{Ed025's Note - well done detroit, they deserved it mate..

03 May 2015 16:55:47
We shld also include hull now shldnt we, so technically that's 8 points. Anyways been a poor season all around for all the clubs imo, only arsenal have something to show in 2015. But congrats anyways to chelsea the best team 14/15. See you next season

{Ed025's Note - i see that mate..but it does make you sound bitter and shallow..

{Ed025's Note - nice one mate..

03 May 2015 17:36:13
Oh ffs, they play the dullest football, yet have the best squad in the league. It's criminal. Real
Madrid hated it, and chelsea will get fed up again. Even last year they were just awfully boring

Agree0 Disagree0

03 May 2015 17:38:09
Obviously Malaga wasn't an avid arsenal fan when George graham was around or he's just very bitter & very envious, we had to get the job done today mate palace are no pushovers yet we still won & deservedly so, only a minority that doesn't appreciate what it takes too win the premier league these days, every game is difficult so every point is precious. We gained points in the games arsenal, city & united didn't it's as simple as that, I'm sure arsenal will play like that at some point next season if they want to challenge for top spot

Agree2 Disagree0

03 May 2015 14:30:44
How was that not a penalty against Terry - dives in to block with arm & hand up high to Akers shooting space smaller

Would love that to have been a penalty for Palace - not as an Arsenal fan but a football fan. Palace deserved it, then a lucky penalty and a lucky finish after a poor penalty kick.....

Hopefully Terry misses a game due to a red card today - fingers crossed
