We face Liverpool in 8 days.
There injury list includes Origi, Jon Flanagan, Mamadou Sakho, Martin Skrtl, Joe Gomez, Jordan Henderson, Daniel Sturridge and Danny Ings.

Tonight they have lost Dejan Lovren and Philippe Coutinho.

Are you watching Ed001? :-)

If they are still all out when we play them then we are screwed! This is what happens to us, we think opposition has loads of injuries the players decide they have won the match before kick off, we come away with a 0/ 0 or a 1-0 defeat . That's how we roll!

05 Jan 2016 21:52:00
And looks like they have now just lost Kolo Toure with a hamstring injury too.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jan 2016 23:15:40
Would of been better if kolo played against us, he is more past his best than the lump of Stilton I found wrapped in my fridge from Christmas 2014.

Stilton gets better with age mate.

Stilton?
Clemence was better.

This whole pep guardiola thing is a little perplexing! I can understand him coming out into the public as regards to him leaving Munich but why would he be so public about coming or wanting to come to the EPL. It can only be an unwelcome distraction to any club that he has had talks with.

I think it's wrong mate.
It's unsettling for the Bayern players and their fan's, plus (if rumours are to believed) , Manuel Pellegrino must be totally pi55ed off with the rumours and media attention about his job.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jan 2016 23:21:40
Dags do you remember the last time Bayern players were told there manager was going? They won the treble.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jan 2016 21:36:32
Like wenger said its naughty! But I think it's fair to Munich and their fans because they know and have a good replacement in Carlo, there are only 4 clubs where he can go in the EPL and it is confusing as to why it would be beneficial to up skittle any club he was going to take over! We are in the same boat as Munich and we know wenger is going and we know when, it's city and United who will be will he won't he!

Is we could sign Cesc back would you?

I would but to only replace Cazorla. 18 months ago thought we should have to replace Ozil (how wrong was I? )

Believable0 Unbelievable0

05 Jan 2016 15:38:43
I asked the same question last week, I would have him back but only at cut price.

05 Jan 2016 16:31:44
For 20 mil I would.

05 Jan 2016 18:12:19
Him and Costa stopped playing for jose. There still both class.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - it also makes them egotistical brats derby, however much you dont agree with the manager you should still put in a shift for the fans and your team mates..anything less is despicable in my eyes mate..

05 Jan 2016 18:24:27
For most he's a little tube shuffler and don't need that in our happy dressing room! And ozil is better so that's a big fat no from me.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jan 2016 19:06:05
It never makes sence to me when players don't play for someone or put effort in. It's not like an office job or something, where you could get away with coasting without anyone noticing until targets aren't met. A mil + people are watching you not do a lot. I can never understand how if you know you're being watched you don't at least try all the time to not look like a ding ding donkey.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i know eden..but it does happen mate..

Wouldn't touch him with a barge pole.
Would rather spend the money on Mahrez.

05 Jan 2016 23:24:58
Eden the difference is. We slack we have mortgage and normal wage. Tbey have big 5 year contracts and are in sackable really. .

Eds I agree but the doctor was close to both of them and the way she got treated was bad. They had a WhatsApp group didn't they? And all agrees to push him out.

So what do you guys reckon, if Wenger wins the league I think he'll step aside and pep will come in! I think out of every premier league team he's most suited to the arsenal! As a united fan I'd be gutted but that's my opinion on what will happen!

Believable0 Unbelievable1

05 Jan 2016 15:37:06
CITY nailed on already agreed.

Nothing's agreed Derby, although I think that's where he will end up!

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jan 2016 18:55:32
It’ll be between City, Utd and Chelsea. You can rule out Arsenal. Wenger’s contract doesn’t expire until the following summer and all the info the Ed’s have given out indicate that he will leave then and no sooner.

Since we can effectively rule out Pep, Ancelotti and Klopp as managerial choices it does make me wonder who we’d be going for.

Martinez has hardly dazzled in his time at Everton, same can be said of Remi Garde with his times at Lyon and now Villa.

Marcelo Bielsa would be a great choice, but at 60 years old he’s hardly a long term option.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - 60 is not that old sforza, he wont be playing you know.. :)

05 Jan 2016 20:38:51
I still have a sneaky feeling Pep will take a year's sabbatical and join us at end of next season when Wenger retires.

05 Jan 2016 21:57:18
That's the dream dags.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jan 2016 13:58:38
Well where is pep going to go! Guys we can rule out him coming here! For one it sounds like there will be no sabbatical and secondly wenger has said when he initially said he wasn't staying on at Munich that it was a bit naughty and now he said he is coming to England it's even naughtier! It will be one of four teams in theory us, United, city or Chelsea so it will destabilise city and United because I think it will be one of those two and Chelsea are already destabilised

Let's see.

So what you are saying if pep keeps man u and citeh guessing for the next five months, he can win us the league, like some think. Even if he doesn't come to us. lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jan 2016 16:57:58
Hey steve maybe that's the plan so he can come to us lol.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jan 2016 18:29:33
The hype is going to be around him going to city! And United fans mostly want van ghoul out and there is managers lurking. LVG is favourite for next sacking. If pep wants to be ethical and show his worth he would choose the Arsenal! It's easy to go to city and win things. They were a yo yo team only a few years back and look how far the coin has seen them shift Liverpool out of the 'BIG 4'

05 Jan 2016 20:40:11
Pep to have a year's sabbatical than join us.

I think Nacho has been fantastic so far. To even consider selling him and keeping Gibbs is a no brainer. Defence is not all about pace although pace is a very helpful attribute. More important (I think lol) are the ability to read the game and when to balance attack and defence. Fullback is never an elast position to play. Most teams seem to have their trickiest ponies playing out wide. So ofcourse it is expected for every fullback to have a torrid time once in a while.

For me Gibbs is pacey but tends to "forget" that he is a defender. Don't get me wrong, I believe in upgrading the starting eleven at every opportunity. If we get a better left back, then it would only make sense to move Gibbs along and keep Nacho who is a better defender and can cover CB when push comes to shove.

I doubt we would sign any striker that is not better than giroud, I have a strange feeling in my water (no it's not the infection back dags) that we will sign a real goal scorer :-)

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jan 2016 13:33:31
They just being wellbeck back.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jan 2016 13:44:15
Deeney is a players player, better than most people give him credit for. Is he who we need, probably not, I think his mate would be more to our style, but girouds stats for this year ( for all you statos) aren't that great compared to many, see sky sports striker stats.

Agree0 Disagree0

05 Jan 2016 13:56:17
Welbeck? Don't remember him, who does he play for these days? :-)

05 Jan 2016 15:02:07
No disrespect to anyone but deeny is not an upgrade to what we have at the moment, he is doing a fine job for watford for sure but he won't win us the league.
As for welbeck come on guys he will be like a new signing in april or next year along with wilsher 😉 that's if they stayed fit lol.

05 Jan 2016 17:04:57
My point was i don't want us to spend 20m on him, I would rather invest less and bring the player through. My first choice is to spend more especially as Theo appears to understand that wide left/ right may be best for him and the team. I would like us to spend big on aubameyang.

Small investment in the key area of midfield and a huge investment up front.

We need to up our goal scoring and options up front.
