Anyone watched the Barca vs Bayern game, jeez, us, City and even Chelsea need to up our proverbial games to get close to those boys.

Messi is without a shadow of a doubt the most gifted player on the Planet. Awesome.

{Ed025's Note - its still ronaldo for me red dog..

06 May 2015 22:17:04
I agree Red Dog that second goal by Messi was out of this world. For me Messi edges the Messi v Ronaldo debate.

All day long Paul, not a great fan of Ronaldo ed025, no denying he's World Class but for me Messi is the truly gifted footballer, not sure there's much the guy cannot do with a football at his feet and for that he's a step up from Ronaldo.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - i think he benefits from having better players around him red dog, i think if the swapped places ronaldo would score twice as many as messi, but thats just my opinion mate..

06 May 2015 22:51:46
Im going to ride side saddle with Ed.

Messi is amazing. Just seen his goals, what a player.

But, I will always go for Ronaldo because he has played fantastically in Prem League, whilst Messi is unproven outside of La Liga.

i honestly don't care as neither one of them plays for us, i really do enjoy them both and would like to see a barca v real final. however the underdog in me wants juve to win it all.

regardless of how good barca are, i think with robben, ribery and alaba they would have won this tie. that's all ifs and buts.

lets hope wenger can sign a few top quality players to take us up a notch. best in england should be 1st priority and chelsea is our marker.

I know that Messi & Ronaldo are the two of the greatest players in football history but after that display Messi is on another level than Ronaldo, this wasn't any team he did it to either it was Bayern Munich for heavens sake! Manuel Neuer the best keeper in the world couldn't stop him, his second goal was something you'd expect from him against a lower team in the Spanish league, not Bayern. In terms of the gap in quality I think us and fellow English teams need to seriously step up next year, by fellow English teams I mean the two Manc's, did you read in the news about the vile messages Rio Ferdinand has been receiving from Chelsea fans!? Saying it's karma for getting John terry in trouble, it's absolutely disgusting, I'm so glad that our club has class and respect.

Essex, they're not fans, vile horrible people Maybe.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - maybe???..

07 May 2015 01:38:33
Well I could of said a few other things ed, but they would of been censored, I ment maybe as in apposed to fans.
There's no place in football for anything like this.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - your right MgM, but not only football, there is no place in society for that mate..

07 May 2015 03:24:15
I'm with Ed025 as well. Messi is awesome but Ronaldo edges him a bit when comes to best player in the world.

It was really great to see Jack playing again against Hull and he looked sharp and determined. As a sub he obviously slipped onto the wide right position to replace Ramsey rather than step into the cm position. I, like others on here, have always just seen Jack as competing with Rambo for the same CM position, but watching him make those great runs at the Hull defense got me thinking that perhaps the future for Jack could be as a right midfielder/ winger instead? Ok so he doesn't have pace to burn like the Ox or Walcott, but then again we don't really do line hugging wingers do we. And when you think over the recent past, with the major success of Llungberg who played in that exact same position ( and to a slightly lesser extent Parlour) both of whom you could argue are similar to Jack, could Jack become our new Freddie rather than our new Viera? it certainly would allow him to continue to run at the opposition and it wouldn't be as dangerous when he loses the ball and gets left behind the play. What do others think?

{Ed025's Note - sounds good to me epping mate..

06 May 2015 21:27:56
Fair post Epping.

But, I'm old school.

Not overly keen on all this "play players in different positions" malarky.

Pires was on left wing, not CM or AM or RW or striker.

Freddie was RW and not a striker.

Petit, DM.

Vieira DM/AM.

Thierry was a striker. Simple as.

I think we have enough options out wide.

I'm all in favour of players like Welbeck and Sanchez who can rotate along the 3 front positions, but apart from that, horses for courses for me mate.

Walk a mile in another mans shoes before you judge him, and then at least if you don't change your opinion your a mile further away from him and still got his shoes

{Ed025's Note - i love that G62, never heard that before, but will certainly use it in the future..

06 May 2015 22:25:57
G62 That reminds me of the time the doctor told me to walk 15 miles a day to help lose weight. I had to give it up as by the end of the week the train fare back home was killing me.....

Speaking of walking.

I was walking through the park last night.

Two men came menacingly towards me.
One threw Sulphuric acid at me and the other threw Sodium Chloride at me.

It was terrible. I didn't know how to react.
