2:1 Jack and Ozil

2-1 Ramsey first then an equaliser from Lukaku then Merts will pop up with an 89 min header from a corner

ramsey, giroud, cazorla for us
lukaku for them.
Agree0

2-0 Arteta (pen), and a late one from a sub (Theo or B23).

23-1 (Twenty Three) to Arsenal only because I reckon Arsenal will get a bit slack in the second half and let Everton back in the game to nick one . LOL
Agree0

2 0 Rambo and Merts
I feel like Apolo Creed's manager pre Rocky 1 fight " these are a dangerous bunch, don't get dragged into a fight just hit and move.
If we go toe to toe it will be a cracking match but one that could see both teams delivering and having to take some big punches for 15 rounds

Amazing fact I have just heard on MOTD,
No Chelsea striker has scored an away goal in this calendar year, eg, since Jan 1st 2013 (in terms of games, that's almost a complete season).
Amazing

Is this league real? I keep thinking I may be stuck in a perpetual game of Champ Manager - You know, the one where Fergie retires two seasons in and for the next 10 seasons they plummet through the leagues.
Posted this a few months back, but it just seems so very apt right now to post it again. This one's for Lord Fergie and all who sailed in him.
Dear Wee Club in the North West,
Welcome to mediocrity and a new title race -
How to beat The Plebs into 7th place.
To going out of cups in the early rounds,
and playing home games in a half empty ground
For your fans are fickle. can't you see?
They won't travel from London now Chelsea are top 3.
And here's to your home, The Theatre of Dreams,
soon to become. The Auditorium of Screams,
"Moyes out, Moyes out. Bring back that bloke with the massive red snout,
this new bloke is crap and he's never won owt,
we'll take back Sir Alex with his nose full of gout!"
The future's bright. but, the future is clear,
It's Chelsea or City for the next 20 years,
or maybe Spurs,
Arsenal too,
The Toon have more chance of top 4 than you!
So. here's to the fat one jumping ship, to Giggsy playing with a plastic hip,
to kids in Asia wearing City tops, to losing games at a rate of knots.
Here's to your fans and reality, no more Titles or Wem-ber-lee!
As Ferdinand tweets, 'still best in the land',
The Prawn Brigade claps in the empty stands.
And all Hail Moyes, 'The Chosen One'
and the return of Sir Alex for his failed swan-song.
For over time, Red turns to Blue and before you know it.
you're Everton too (except much rubbishter)'
'What's that? Oh.you lost to them too!'
Yours Sincerely,
A fan of that Wee Club in the North East
A comment I read earlier and thought it was too good not to share

Fantastic day for arsenal today with some of our closest rivals dropping points. Pundits are against arsenal winning the title because we haven't played city or chelsea yet but I have a feeling the title this year is more likely to hinge on whether or not you drop points against the mid-table sides.

Lots and lots of hard games coming thick and fast so let's hope we get a nice easy draw for 3rd round of the FA Cup.
A nice home tie against a lower league team will do nicely so we can give a few of the fringe players and those just coming back from injuries a game.

United fan here!
I have to watch you guys because my treacherous wife slipped over to the dark side a few years ago, and now follows your team. When Ramsey scored to beat United at the tail end of the season a few years ago, at that time increasing the possibly that we would not win the EPL, we nearly divorced! This year I don't need to worry about it because we're not contenders, and I'd rather Arsenal than any of City, Chelsea or Liverpool.
I think you'll do it this year. Never mind that you have an abundance of quality midfielders with both skills and speed, but ever since the last half of last season you have been winning all the games you should, and not dropping points in silly draws. When you do that you can afford to have a mixed or even inferior record against your main rivals. Wenger's sides are always technically well drilled. In the last few years the main quality they have lacked is spunk. But this year the youngsters seem to have matured, and the defense seems to have gelled. All in all I would predict a bright future for the club. Just wish I could feel the same way about mine.

Thanks Peashooter, that very noble of you to say.
Tbh mate, as you know, your boys are struggling bigtime but I think you will turn things around. It was always going to be a big task stepping into SAF's boots but I think once Moysie settles in he will get United firing again.
i'm not too sure how well you will fare this season but as its Moysies first season I think if you just finish in top 4 and qualify for CL than you should consider that a decent "first season".

Hey Peashooter,
A wife with taste, a somewhat double sided compliment I know, but hey.
What are the chances of her converting you to the right side.
I have great feelings about how we've grown as a team and Ozil and Ramsey have inspired us with the unexpected bonus of Flamini adding some steel and a back four that now look the part.
I don't envy you the situation you are in, it seems ridiculous that United have allowed your team to need such a huge overhaul. Nothing looks good for you right now.

I expected a United win today (they lost), I expected a Chelsea win (they lost), I expected City to win (they drew). I expect Arsenal to beat Everton tomorrow but I have a nasty feeling in the back of my head that it could go boobs up.
I need convincing boys, convince away lol

Today means nothing unless we get the job done tomorrow
With the stuttering form the challengers are on, hope we bang a few in and make a statement tomorrow
All we have to do a finish a few more of the chances we WILL create
I'm pretty confident. Our back line, Arteta and Flam in the locker room will keep everyone focused
I find myself not worrying about match prep as I did last few seasons
How about that!

We can't complain about getting a rub of the green this year, it's ours to lose at this early stage.
I agree with the thinking that NB23 may have a bigger part to play than any of us envisaged earlier this year.
Tomorrow is tough but not that tough, they won't pose a bigger threat than 'Pool or S*&^s, we are now the team to beat.

It will Be interesting to hear what they say on motd tonight.
Surely now they must believe we are tittle contenders, and I'm sick of wait until we play the big teams. City and Chelsea can both beat us 10-0, but if they keep dropping points while we are picking them up our results against them won't matter.
Believable0

If Chelsea's defence continues to play like they did against Sunderland and Stoke today, then you have nothing to worry about. That's coming from a Chelsea supporter. Consistency is the key to winning the league, and that continues to be arsenal football club.

Just had a thought,
We have all been slating Nick Bendtner, and rightly so because of his work rate, or lack of, and we wonder how he can play so well for Denmark and so sh*te for Arsenal, but maybe, just maybe, that goal against Hull might do him the world of good and we might have a very decent back up for Giroud for the rest of the season.
I wouldn't put it past him to get 10/12 goals for us this season and that might make the difference betweeen us winning/not winning something this season.
Just a thought lol

Tough tough tough game tomorrow boys and girls, ladies and gents.
As pointed out earlier, we have only conceded once in last 7 games and are scoring goals but Everton are no mugs and are defensively as good as they come. 8 clean sheets out of 14 is testament to that and they have very good players in Lukaku, Barklay and that barcelona bloke on loan.
But, we have super nicklas bendtner lol.

What a day :-) :-) :-) I really fancied Southampton to take points but stoke winning is a shock to say the least :-) :-) :-) .
We have to be at our best tomorrow and if all goes well MOTD 2 should be interesting :-) they will have to use Lawro and Savage as Hanson sheerar and co are fast losing credibility in writing us off.
You win nothing with excellent players who play as a team and have belief in them self's, just wait till Ozil Ramsey kos Merts Szczesney Gibbs Monreal Wilshere Walcott Sagna Flamini Carzola and Giroud are all out at the same time, then we will see what Arsenal are made of and only a ten game unbeaten run without them will prove their credentials

So Arsenal go into tomorrow with the best defensive record in the premier league. Who'd have thought we would be saying that this season?
In league and champions league, in the last 8 games against teams like Dortmund, Liverpool and Manchester United we have only conceded one goal, (against a Mertesacker less defense) we have had 7 cleans in the other 7 games!
Everton come into tomorrow's game with the second best defense in the league and riding high off the back of a 1-0 win at Old Trafford.
This is definitely a game where chances MUST be taken. My head says 2-1 but my heart goes with a 2-0 win to keep the clean sheet run rolling!
Believable0

Thats not really that surprising. Last season only City conceived less than Arsenal.

We will need to be at our best to beat Everton, they are a completely different team now.
A win and we go 7 points clear. I'm confident but not complacent. They can go joint 2nd with a win and will be up for it and have some real quality in their team.

Man City drawing at half time
Chelsea drawing at half time
Man Utd have lost at full time
A six point cushion before games against Man City and Chelsea would mean we could go into the games with less pressure and really have a go at the big boys. Hopefully taking 4pts from two games would shut up the critics.
Believable0
Unbelievable0
Liverpool win and are still four points behind.
Chelsea lose and are four points behind.
Man City draw and are now five
points behind.
Man Utd lose again and are out of sight.
A massive win and a seven point gap is all that's required to have the critics squirming uncomfortably.

Football is full of myths. One being we find it easy playing mid table. teams. Let me just remind you we lost to Manchester united at theirs. Mind you mid table teams do raise there game against the top teams.
All joking aside I hope united keep faith with Moyes. Only classy clubs keep faith with their managers and allow them the time and opportunity to get across their ethos. So please please united stay classy and stick with Moyes. Please ;-)

I was just about to post the same thing, surely they'll honour his 5 year contract. He is a great tactician, superb man manager, knows how to get a team playing great football and is with out doubt everything a United fan deserves.
I also feel they should stand by that fantastic squad of theirs no matter what ;-)
To see the Dutch man trudge off with a face like thunder was truly priceless.
Agree0

The dutch bloke swapped all he worked for and been part of for a medal that will mean little in his retirement if it turns out he only had to wait a year to get one with the club who stood by him at his lowest points.
Mind that we might be where we are now if he had stayed.
Agree0

I was thinking the other day, would anyone take him back? Apart from last season I definitely think he's DONE! Wrong side of 30. Played a lot of games in a row without injuries which now have come back to niggle him again. It's actually looking like a good £20m transfer out! The future is bright with Szczesny, Jenks, Gibbs, Kos, Ramsey, Wilshere, Walcott, Ozil etc who are all the right side of 25. Bring on the trophies.

Moyes might be in trouble if it happens
Believable0
Unbelievable0
Well its good night from them then.
A win tomorrow would put us 15 ahead of them.
They have very serious problems on and off the pitch, Moyes did right in getting rid of the back room staff as I think he has enough enemy's within his camp.
We he be backed or sacked? Sacking him won't change the problems that have been building up for years, Ferguson knew when to get out that's for sure

Sorry Arsene but what are you talking about when you say we don't need a back up for Giroud when we have Sanogo? It seems everybody knew he was injury prone before he came to Arsenal and he has only played around 40 minutes of football for us since he has been here. Come on! Arsene let's not get into the same mode as last summer we need a quality back up I think most Arsenal supporters had forgotten about Sanogo I know I certainly did. I had to read your comment twice to remind me he was still an Arsenal player.I thought he was out on loan, seriously! Had anyone else forgotten about Sanogo?
Believable0
Unbelievable0
Why would Wenger come out and disrespect his players and drive up the value of potential strikers?
Let's see what he does and don't judge him on his "no money" period which has not been confirmed numerous times that he had to sell players and had no money
Give the guy some credit - he is the best around
Agree0
Disagree0
I'm not saying that! i'm just merely posting a comment that Arsene made a few days ago and voicing an opinion. We do need a decent back up and a player that is known to spend more time in the treatment room than on the pitch is definitely not it. Unless I'm missing a trick. I'm sure my mate Dagenham will understand where I'm coming from.
Agree0
Disagree0
Hi Goldboy, yes mate I know what you are trying to say.
Sanogo could be a future star but even before he was bought he had injury problems but still not a bad buy because he was a freebie.
So, I back your post that we do need a back up striker to cover Olly Giroud. I think Arsene is putting faith in the fact Theo and Podolski can play as back up strikers in need be but I would still love an out and out striker as back up to Giroud, Benzema and Hernandez would fit the bill perfectly for me mate.
