Well said Robbie ( one of my favourite players of all time )

"Too many people have criticised him this season and overall since he arrived at Arsenal. I train with him regularly and I can tell you that he is one of the best players I have seen.

"He loves this club and cares a lot about it. He wants to win trophies here and wants to make the fans happy, like he did against Liverpool. First, there was his wonderful pass for Aaron on the first goal. Then he scored that wonderful free-kick for the second goal."

Huge Ozil fan and feel I am lucky to see such a player grace the pitch. Hopefully he has a huge run in for the end of season and FA Cup

I think this quote supports why we struggled over the 8 years and also that AW did an awesome job to stay in the top 4.

We are now rebuilding and starting to compete - crazy to not support AW nor give him the benefit of doubt especially seeing how we have invested and started to play

: "We are not in a position anymore where we have to sell our best players.

"When we had the period of restricted finances we had to sell the players when they started to perform - from 18-23.

"You pay for experience. A player becomes a player at 23 or 24. But if you have to sell them at that age then you just feel you work for the other clubs."

Years gone buy the question would have been could we hang on to players like Walcott Wilshere and Szczesney but now its us asking the questions of whether these players are good enough to stay with us.
Do these players have options? Well apparently yes according to the press clubs like Liverpool and city are interested in players we are no longer sure we need.
Now that is deffinately different

Every team needs a squad. I don't understand why we need to get rid of players if they can't get into the first team.

If Carzola or ramsey are unavailable then we will need Wilshere! The same goes for walcott, if Sanchez and Ox are not available then walcott becomes a important player.

If we ever want to win the league then we will need a squad of 18-20 top players in our squad

I think walcott should be sold, i don't see him signing a contract in the summer, and regardless of liverpool selling us sterling or not, if we can get a fee over 25 million for him, id take it.

the eds did make a comment on this stating either walcott or sterling, so i guess liverpool buy if they sell him, to whoever it may be.

Dybala is the player we should look at, i know he will be way out of our price bracket in terms of transfer fee, but perhaps with some sales we can raise sufficient money to buy such a player. Does not halt progress of Ox, or chances for welbeck but gives competition to all involved to get better.

This I think is almost where we get slightly ahead of ourselves, apart from Szczesny who has yet to step up to the plate Walcott and Wilshere have shown they have ability. We really need to strengthen other areas first.

Injury is the reason why most would let them go and it's been such an Achilles heel for us in the amount of injuries we have.

We want all members of the squad to play their part and being with the medical team for months on end doesn't help the cause. Injury free we have a pretty good squad.

However if we were to sell and buy immediate replacements of the same or better quality and they are not on the treatment table then it becomes difficult to say no let's keep them, let's take the chance they're not out again for weeks next season.

The other question is have we missed Jack or Theo in the last few months, results say no but fatigue in other players says yes.

The answer lies with the players, can and will Walcott show the work ethic to go with his ability and can Jack now finally stay injury free and ultimately how much faith does Wenger have in them.

They divide opinion and exasperate most of us.

Theo's contract is up in the summer

Its the fact where in the driving seat and not begging or trying to persuade unproven potentially good players to stay that matters most, if Walcott stays or goes its no big deal now but 2 years ago it was massive for us that keep him.
I think it shows how different things are now to just a short while ago.

I don't think we should throw away good english players so quickly, the rules on homegrown players look likely to get stricter and there aren't many good ones around...

if walcott does not sign a contract he will be one much before those rules come into place, rather replace him and get some financial reward for doing so.

I know the opponent come into consideration when selecting your first 11, but has welbeck over taken walcott in terms of ability in the right wing spot? For me he has, his game is more rounded and his use of the ball is better

For me Saint the biggest difference is from Danny you will always get a good honest shift even on the days when he's not bang on form but Theo is as often as not a passenger.

its a dark day if welbeck is our right winger. he joined to play as a striker

I think a front 3 of Sanchez, Giroud and Chamberlain would ultimately be a pretty impressive front 3.

Welbeck has I think though overtaken Walcott for now because of his allround game. If he could just finish like Walcott or Walcott could work like Welbeck we'd be quids in. ;-)

Personally I prefer, sanchez, ozil, cazorla with giroud ahead, but the ox, Chambo and walcott all have their place at arsenal

Whys it a dark day derby? And who said he was bought solely as a striker? Personally I think Welbeck has been a fantastic piece of business for us and one of his assets is he can be deployed in more than one position, and no matter where he plays he will give everything and work harder than most.

Yorkshire. His words. He left utd because he wasnt played in his best position.

Sometimes versatile players don't have the best carears. You give the manager an option to move you around too much.

Welbz isn't good a confident enough finisher to be a striker this season, maybe over the summer that'll change. And he doesn't hold the ball up well enough

we are witnessing probably the two greatest players of any generation so far.

while pele and maradona have been hailed for their expliots with World Cups, neither can compare to either of these players in domestic leagues.

sit back relax, get some popcorn and enjoy.

while for argument sake i still believe bendtner is the best ever ever.

Pele scored over 1000 goals at the same goals:game ratio at club and international level. All that with leather balls, no sponsors, poor wages and defenders hacking you down without mercy. We didn't actually see it so its hard for us to believe but i'm sure it was just as breathtaking as either of these two.
