Liverpool fan here and I mean no disrespect to arsenal here think they're a great club with passionate and loyal fans I just thought I'd see what your reaction was to JWH statement, and I see a lot of you clutching at straws and trying to compare it to the statement he made regarding Torres.
There are significant differences between the two;
The statement regarding Torres was made 3 MONTHS before his transfer, and FSG were only in charge for s matter of weeks, Torres himself had a 50M release clause which chelsea met whereas Suarez has the one he and his agent cocked up on. Furthermore we already had a replacement in before Torres left in Suarez. Don't think JWH statement could have been anymore blunt. We will not sell to Arsenal.
1.) I will be brutally honest. I thought perhaps with the signings that liverpool had made from january with coutinho and sturridge to the summer signings that they made with Aspas they perhaps were contemplating that Suarez was on his bike. Henry has said there isn't enough time to find a replacement and there isn't enough money, and truthfully he is right, not to be insulting but I wouldn't go as high as £50m. But its the same situation as us, there aren't any real high profile strikers out there now who are available full stop. Suarez just guarantees goals and I can see why we have tried our hand.
Wether or not JWH is just trying some gamesmanship to placate the liverpool fans I don't know, from our end Arsene seems to have slightly cooled his interest I think.
It just depends on how unprofessional Suarez becomes at Liverpool, talk of benching him or making him train with the reserves is just cutting liverpools own throats especially if the new signings do not perform as well.
Time will tell.
