Hi guys. My first post but I'm a regular visitor to the site. I don't think anyone is saying Welbeck is a bad player, he's just getting the brunt of everyone's frustration this morning as I think most of us feel we could have done so much more.
I'm positive he'll be a more then useful addition to the squad. But he's not the 20+ goal striker we want and needed.
Other players were there but we didn't move for them. We're Arsenal FC for crying out loud. I'm not saying we would have got a Falcao or a Cavani but when it's as glaringly obvious as it is that we need a striker we should certainly be going in for them.
I think looking at what the other top teams have done this window we're playing for 4th place again. But maybe we need to accept that that's where we are in the pecking order now. Still 16 other clubs would love to be where we are!
