I am still keeping the faith. I don't agree that we need wholesale changes.Fed up of reading we need goalie, centre-back, midfield, winger and a striker. Get real, we were not relegated. Look at the team we put out tomorrow. I agree we need at most two top quality signings. We desperately need a forward, but then I read that they will partner Giroud. It's not going to happen. I would love to see a pairing like MacDonald and Stapleton ( shows my age), but he only ever plays one up top. The difficulty is that we need quality on the bench and we are not going to pay 100k a week for that. I do think that Wenger has got some deals lined up.He is too relaxed and smug, to be that stupid.

1.) We don't need wholesale changes Hootie, we need some fine tuning with 3-4 quality proven players. that's all, it ain't rocket science, we have the money, so why ain't it happening?

2.) Oohh hootie how can you say mcdonald and stapleton? sunderland and stapleton every day of the week for me. the original SAS (for those of you who are old enough to remember?)

Why is Gordon Taylor (PFA) sticking his nose in to the Suarez situation and declaring that there is not sufficient time for Liverpool to find and recruit a suitable replacement and therefore Suarez will not be leaving? What has it got to do with him? Why is he supporting Liverpool? I thought his responsibility was to support the player who clearly wants out. If what he says is true then they might as well shut the transfer window now. Strange that come the night the window shuts there will be deals happening in hours rather than the three weeksl left. The truth being that anyone of that calibre is not going to want to join Liverpool.

1.) Time to sack of a head, interfering in transfer dealing, what has it got to do with him, ffs what is going on here!

Confused. If the clause in the Fabregas contract is as widely reported, that we have a first refusal at a fixed fee, and given that Fabregas has said that he would only return to Arsenal, then I am nonplussed as to why Man U would even spend time trying to buy him? The only reason that would seem to make any sense is that the first or second part of the above is not true? Is it just me slightly worried. The only other reason being the bid for him has been made up by the press.

Listen to what Wenger had to say. not sky. I think he will get more first team games next season. I think one of the two Everton players will join utd soon. km

2.) There is a first refusal clause. Perhaps wenger has already spoken to cesc? Who knows what the conversation was about?

If utd are pushing then you have to guess they feel they have a chance - perhaps cesc ruled out a move back to arsenal, which has given utd hope?

I don't know tbh and what is going on behind the scenes.

but I highly doubt it will happen.

3.) I think the fact that sly now own a betting site, might have something to do with various romours starting with out any actual evidence, if you can control the flow of information and basically say what you want then you can have an influence on how people may bet! only a suggestion, not sure if this is the case but makes sence to me! {Ed007's Note - You reckon... ;-)

4.) I just sent in the same question. I think.

Not sure that will turn out to be good business at the end of the day. If Suarez believes he had that agreement it cannot end well for Liverpool. The mood in the club will take a dive and just cannot see Suarez doing a uturn. Arsenal will not keeping up the offer and could well be the only takers. Liverpool may have to continue to pay him to sit on his backside. Liverpool are trying to take the high moral ground but personally think they are on very slippy ground. They should negotiate as best as they can on price, move him on and recruit in before the window shuts. If anyone knows how difficult the situation is it is our club.

I really don't get all this negative vibe about Mertesacker. Yes it is obvious he is not quick and not as good in the air as he should be for a giant but the rest of his game is pretty much spot on. Not sure how he is criticised for his distribution. Plays it simple and forward every time. It wasn't a coincidence that our defence became tight once our back five became regular. Bad players don't play for Germany as long as he has

I would disagree. As much as I have been shocked by much of his antics on the field I actually think he is exactly what we need. When we are struggling to break down teams playing with six or seven across the back line he is probably the best at slipping his way through, taking people on in tight spaces. I have never been overly impressed with Benzema always looks a bit laboured and for me wouldn't offer any great alternative to the approach of Giroud.
