Just out of curiosity, if you guys do get Sanchez, where does this leave Walcott? both play in the same position. will Walcott be a striker when he comes back?

(reason i'm asking, not because I want him at MUFC but because I think he's a great player and England need him)

1.) I disagree completely. Walcott is a wide right attacking winger/striker.

Sanchez is a wide left attacking winger/attacker.

It's not a case of Sanchez taking someone's place. It's called squad depth.

Walcott was injured more than he played last season anyways so it showed me that we were clearly short.

Sanchez can cover or play Cazorla/Ozil/Walcott and Giroud.

Quality signing IMO if we pull it off!

no doubt it is a quality signing mate, but Sanchez plays on the right.

3.) Wouldn't make sense to bomb anyone one out if we were to sign Sanchez, competition for places is healthy, I should imagine the rest of the squad will be buzzing hearing all these rumours, even the German lads, getting someone with that quality will be a real boost TO ALL

Sanchez can play on either wing

5.) JK he can play anywhere in the front four.

Football (attacking wise) is not about rigid positions but players who are adaptable and can interchange.

Sanchez can do that. End of.

JK,

I think Sanchez will be on left and Theo on the right, with Giroud down the middle.
