Sign an injured player, seems like a wenger move
Berba is a player who always looks lazy as he drifts around - BUT every time a cross is ready to go in he's in the box and generally unmarked. He's like a ninja and nobody seems to pick him up. More than happy to have him as cover
Tempting for the AKB's to beleive, but the rest of us know its simply not true. Yes no doubt there is statistical analysis, but it does not form the basis for deciding the value of bids. And to suggest Gazidas is with holding the money is the same lie the AKBs have been coming out with for years.
I look at Spurs purchases and see that every single one of them would add to our team, they're building a squad with real depth and strength. We on the other hand have a first team squad of 16 players - that just enough to field a team and bench - utterly inexcusable. Why are players going to Spurs? Perhaps because they see a team which is ambitious and appears to be on the way up, the exact opposite of how Arsenal appears (content with CL qualification and 4th place.) Wengers had months to bring in new arrivals, dithered made ridiculous offers etc, I forsee the usual deadline day "nobody was available" speech. Funny other clubs are finding people available at the right price.
If we try to go into the season with the squad as it is, paper thin, we'd be one single injury from crisis - and the first game we loose would see most of us baying for Wengers head on a spike. Responsability for spending has been publicly laid at this door, as has the fact there is a large reserve of cash available for reinforcing the squad.
Thats one hell of a question! I'd probably be least offended by Nasri to be honest.
Can't afford a category a added to next years season ticket price, so I'll be opting out of that one
In complete agreement, very happy with where we are, but do we risk everything on Giroud remaining injury free and Super Nick banging them in when he plays? Or with money in the bank do we do the prudent thing and strengthen the strike force? How will fans feel if we come up short on silverware due specifically to not strengthening that position - imagine coming 3rd or 4th because we end up with no fit striker? That would be entirely down to Wenger and there would be no hiding from the facts.
Not a chance in hell! No
Thought we had more than that to be honest, perhaps I think some were with us as youth players were not
