That was a great performance from us today. I really hope it continues. If we beat dortmund on tuesday then who knows what can happen. CL runners up they were. I think this team should fear no one - they have enough technical quality to beat anyone in my opinion. The only thing I worry about is the defence - has it been properly tested this season?
The next month and a half will show what we can do and I hope it is ultra positive.

Hey all,

I've just watched arsenal destroy fenerbache and i'm thinking I wish we did that against villa but what can you do about injuries and dodgy refs that want to be the centre of attention?
This team has quality - wenger knows he has to strengthen to maintain it.
The frustration from fans after the villa game is very understandable and if we don't win at fulham this weekend then the voices will get worse. I expect the last week of the transfer window to be a fireworks display from arsenal and the media with a few players being signed.
Could it be true that if you get your business done early then you pay over the odds for a player whereas in the last week its basically a free for all with deals going left right and centre?
I suspect wenger is putting out the feelers for valuations in this period and then cashing in on the last week of transfer window (he f**king better be lol).
All gunners need to cheer up and realise we do have a good team and to get behind them - look at the result tonight - I hope that what i've said does happen and we get some quality players come the end of the window. SG

Folks - there are a few on here moaning about lack of transfers. and I can understand and share your frustrations. But if Wenger wants a player then he will bid and get them. Fellaini would be a good addition but so would capoue or bender so there are choices to be made. Who will come? - we need to wait and see. We bid a fortune for gotze last season but he declined - we bid for capoue in January but he wanted to stay till end of season. Pjanic was another. These moves were made when we were supoosedly skint.
If Gazidis says this is the season to move forward and get some quality in then it will be. The financial shackles have been loosened with the new deals and getting rid of some hangers on. 0
Don't believe most of the media. If Martinez says Fellaini is staying then you can bet money that he will be going lol.
Lets all wait until the the 1st game of the season and then see what the squad looks like.
I'm sure a lot of us will be pleasantly surprised. I hope ;p

Good post mate. bob Wilson said Wenger mad a big offer for the Liverpool keeper 2/3 years ago. 18/20 m. it was rejected. I was told that Mata talks were at an advanced stage but we sat on our hands. Its not as if the main players we are linked with are not available. Fellani, the two forwards the QPR and stoke keeper would be realistic if the right money goes down on the table. I really can't see Juve buying two forwards. We are due a nice treat. bring it on km

2.) Great post and very true, I always laugh when a manager says that a certain player is happy and is going nowhere, that player usually ends up leaving.
I honestly believe we are going to see some quality coming in before transfer deadline day.
I think Wenger has been restricted financially over the last few years, and hopefully we will not see any more bargain basement players coming in who earn a small fortune, but aren't good enough to wear the jersey.

Aye exactly, he would probably end up with a broken hand after the medical team got a hold of him.
