Don't know if any of you saw Wenger speak to the media today but according to tv he said "funds were limited" could this be the board not giving him the amount of money he was promised.

No this is Wenger being typical and spineless. passing the buck to the board. Same stubborn old Frenchman . The best the team could reach is 4th which is enough to make Wenger happy.The club had cash surplus in 2011 of 115m, 122.3m in November 2013. This is before the new EPL deal and the new emirates deal.There is another deal with Puma starring 2014. A new sponsership with a Far East bookmakers on top of the money that comes with the Far East tour.In the region of 450-480k per week of the wages due to getting rid of the dead wood. I can understand not telling everyone you have 100m burning a hole in your pocket, but everyone knows Man city's owner is worth about 20 billion which doesn't stop them spending moneyThe same applies to Chelsea and utd. i'm afraid if he doesn't buy quality this year he never will.If no quality comes in the next 10 days then he(Wenger) will become disliked by more and more supporters. He is living off success from over 8 years ago.And I don't think he will change now. km

2.) I read that he said that there wasn't as much available as everyone making out to be.

"The desire of the players to join us [makes me confident] and the fact that we have - maybe not as much as everyone writes - but we have some funds available to do the transfers."

So we don't have a £70Mil + war chest? Can any Eds clear this up? {Ed027's Note - we do

3.) What a load of tosh he did not say that at all.

First post as a registered user. Don't know about anyone else but Kondogbia looks great. Big powerful defensive midfielder but with quick feet. Very much in the Yaya toure mould and IMO just what we need. Any interest ed and at what sort of price.
Thank You
Formerly kb however name has already been registered.

{Ed022's Note - Kondogbia does look very good for someone of his age and there is little doubt that with the right development he could become a beast. He could be a Wenger signing as it'll give him the chance to develop a good player and he will have a massive sell on value given the current transfer market prices...}

1.) Would prefer Bender myself, not because I'd have a giggle watching a german running around the pitch with "bender" on his back (childish I know), but I think he will be and is the better player all round, looks much more disciplined as well
