Instead of Cabaye, why doesn't Arsenal make a £40 million double swoop for both Tiote AND Sissoko?

Yes £40 million is a lot; considering AW did almost nothing during the xfer window however, Arsenal will have to overpay for both. Getting both and putting them behind Wilshire/Rosicky would greatly help the front four and provide a strong spine to the squad

Thoughts?

1.) My thoughts are that Tiote is garbage I wouldn't go near him with a barge pole. Sissoko is also pretty average.

So no.

2.) Agree, Tiote is awful

3.) 40mill for both by that logic we can get 15mill for bendnter

4.) Never liked Tiote. Frimpong is better.

Think about this: Had Wenger bought Higuain, Wanyama, and a CB and this game happened, all of the abuse would've been laid at the ref's feet.

He let his ego get in the way, now the fault's all on him. even though the ref had a shambolic game.

nycgooner

1.) LOL

For 16 years you have hoped, maybe this might be the year, maybe Wenger has signed for the Spuds.

Come back in May to discuss

2.) I think missing out on Wanyama was a huge mistake.

Still saying no to Suarez

If the deal for Higuain is done and Perez is saying the opposite because he wants a bidding war, I feel that Arsenal's bid for Suarez was their "response" to Perez outright lying about no bid for Higuain being made. Arsenal gave Liverpool a bottom line number in case Real do make their move. Now Liverpool will not accept less than £30 Million to let Suarez go.

nycgooner

1.) The suarez bid was reportedly made on Thursday, way before the press conference with Perez

2.) Not necessarily true they might be happy to let him go for say 28m if it means he won't be in EPL next year, I defo would have been happier to let RVP go for less to Juve
Dandan

3.) Liverpool were never going to let him go for anything less than 40 mil anyway. And all this smokescreen nonsense is arsenal fans keep sprouting is starting to become embarrassing. There is no conspiracy going on. Suarez is better than anything at Arsenal and has talked about leaving Liverpool so Wenger tests the waters with an opening bid of 30mil. What are you going say when Wenger returns with a second offer. That he still doesn't want him. Yeah right

Don't tease mate; today is not the day to do that.

The *only* one I would take from S***s would be Paulinho. Imagine him with Wilshire alongside and Cazorla ahead of them or him with Ramsey alongside and Ozil ahead of them.

GK: I'll take Begovic for half that price, perhaps as much as £10 million.

RB, CB (what the hell why not both Rami and Sakho?) and CDM is fine.

What about Capel from Sp. Lisbon as a true LW, or was he sold somewhere else?

Well said Ed, Wengerism is an ignorant troll. As much as I hate to admit it, S***s addressed their problems smartly. AW could've taken a page from them.

With Cabaye I'm torn:

If we're talking about the Cabaye from two seasons ago where Newcastle were knocking on the door of a CL spot then yeah, £10 million is insulting.

If we're talking the Cabaye from last season then, yeah he's worth £10 million.

Agree with all of this.

Wengerism can say what he wants (frankly, I think he's a S***s troll or AKBer, and in the case of the latter he can sod off to the next club AW goes to. He won't be missed.) but it rings extremely hollow. Wenger had 3 months to get it right and he didn't. He's the one in charge of xfers, so this is all on his shoulders.

He could've done what the other European sides have done and taken care of their business before even August 1st but didn't because he thought he's a step ahead of everyone when in fact he's been several steps behind the last few years.
