i have been told that vertongen and vermalen may both end up at barca. if not this transfer window, january they will open talks again. I am told that it is still possible both transfers can go through in the next 2 weeks.

1.) Ed any chance of Ac Milan putting in an offer for arsenal for Maria balotelli in exchange for Joel Campbell plus money? Also if they did would you think arsenal would accept the offer?

2.) Please somebody make it stop. Which part of Balotelli is a complete clown, and there is zero chance of us signing him is so difficult to comprehend?

eds, is there anychance that the papers have got everything confused regarding jenko? could it be chambers we are signing and sending out straight on loan and keeping jenks to develop at the arsenal? just a thought. seems a better option to me.

thailand gooner

{Ed025's Note - i would not think so mate..

1.) Well thanks for ruining my day/night in thailand ed025 ;)

i will be gutted to see jenks go out on loan. he is arsenal through and through and is a great back up right back if not first choice for now. we need to keep hold of him, I see him devoping into a solid consistent player.

{Ed025's Note - i read it as chambers out on loan TG, jenks will be staying mate..

2.) Cheers ed. i'll sleep well now. night gooners

update on cazorla lads from a friend with ties to the club and is usually spot on. He is happy with afc and has no intention of leaving this summer. if its true. I think this is great news.

eds, heard a rumour that we have bought in some backroom staff to focus on keeping players injury free? I know injuries are sometimes unavoidable but is there any truth in this? be interesting to see if it makes a difference.

thailand gooner

{Ed002's Note - I have no idea, sorry. It is not the sort of thing I would enquire about either.}

1.) Arsenal have recruited the German national team's head fitness coach Shad Forsythe. I think he is already in post as of Monday gone.

2.) Shad Forsyth who worked with the German national team has joined to hopefully keep our team fit and healthy.

3.) Shad had ten years with the German national team, he is supposed to be v good

nice to see with all the big players names being thrown around that we are still in the market for up and coming youngsters and german too! always a good thing to have another german right?

gegious spadoukias (excuse spelling). do you know anything about him eds?

thailand gooner

{Ed027's Note - nabbed from Barca, promising centre mid, eligible for Germany and Greece, 15

1.) Cheers ed, potential future centre mid ay? poor lad his got a hard task on his hands.

{Ed027's Note - guess so, but we've got a lot of talent their

just had a thought and no it didn't hurt before you get in there dags.

for the last few seasons with have been some what predictable when its come to our tactics. no plan b as some pundits have put it. however I think just with the signing of sanchez our oposition will be completley overwhelmed with the options we have at our disposal now. not only is sanchez fairly versitile but he frees up other players who can also play in different positions i.e walcott, podolski, cazorla, the ox. the options are endless.

sudden realisation that sanchez is not a good signing, he is a great signing. good work mr wenger. very impressed. keep doing your work proffessor.

Ed025. You say you don't like players changing position. And I do agree to an extent however sometimes it can work for the better. On the top of my head arsenal wise. Obviously Thierry was a winger. Gibbs I believe was a LM. Even if you look up sol Campbell he started as a cf at the S**rs. Just saying it can work. Rarely but still. Not saying we don't need a cf tho. Just throwing my little thought out there lol

{Ed025's Note - we all have opinions on things like this D16, it does not mean anyone is wrong mate..

2.) 23 Jul 2014 00:49:18
True ed025. For the record I wasn't indicating your wrong if it came across that way! Just saying sometimes it can work. More often it doesn't tho!

lads I think were going to face facts here. I for don't believe any more transfers are remotely close to being completed.

if anymore transfers happen they will come in the last few days. I think wenger was droping a hint when he said "sometimes the players you want are not available till very late in the transfer window" (or words to that effect anyway).

2 or 3 transfers will happen and I believe one or 2 will be "big" and an average keeper will be bought in but not till the near end of the transfer window.

two of our key signings have been completed. arsen is doing a good job so far. he has off loaded the players he needs to so I wouldn't expect anymore to leave unless we sign another 30 odd mil player.

keep the faith gooners our time will come. Be patient!

where abouts in Thailand?

2.) I would hope we don't get an average keeper, Shez is to young to have no one fighting for his spot he needs the threat of someone ousting him if he's ever going to fulfil his potential

3.) Robio, north east thailand. place called bueng kan. funny enough there os a massive following of arsensl fans here but the main team seems to be liverpool. don't ask why I have no idea.

4.) 23 Jul 2014 21:11:29
I do be down south a lot, Nakhon Si Thammarat. a little Arsenal following down in the sang jan club down there

eds, do you expect micah richards to move on this summer. if so do you expect any interest from arsenal?

if we realy are interested in signing a another right back and a centre back, surely richards would make sense? he can play right across the back apart from on the left and imo a decent player. thoughts gooners?

thailand gooner

{Ed025's Note - spends more time on the treatment table than the pitch TG, so no thanks..

1.) Thanks ed, think your right on that to be fair. I've just checked out his injury list!

i always presummed he was just down the pecking order at city. maybe a case of both that and injurys that kept him out. shame, decent player.

{Ed025's Note - very good player TG, lost his way a bit though, maybe down to persistent injuries, but not a serious gamble any of the top teams will take mate..

2.) Yea agreed, maybe he is newcastle bound then as I see they have been rumoured with him. As you said "no top teams" that leaves the door open for spurs. that one was just for you spursman ;)

3.) Apparently no one will pay just 7 million for Micah Richards when Luke shaw cost 30 million that's incredible and can only be down to his poor rep, shame because he could be such a good player.
If this ain't the wake up call he needs then he's doomed I say DOOMED

{Ed025's Note - your right private frazer.. :)

4.) Both Micah and Jack need a good kick up the? They don't like it up um Captn Ed sir

5.) Can I request a poll please eds? would micha richards be worth a 7 million gamble condsidering his long list of injurys.

cheers

{Ed033's Note - Ok thanks, added to the yes/no, arsenal poll of the day, which may appear sometime over the next week

Very good news, both good players that can only make the team stronger.

if we complete these two signings we are far stronger than last season.

im very happy with way things are shaping up. maybe this transfer window none of us will be able to moan? then again.
