Cesc is having house built near the beach close to Messi. and his girlfriend, And mother of his child was at Xavi wedding with him at the weekend. that's a fact. he won't be leaving Barca to us or the Mancs. fact. He only left us to go back home. fact. you people take too much notice of the media. They have already sold a top midfielder to Munich and xavi is getting older. Manchester United think no one will turn them down. Someone already has. Guadiola is the reason. km

Believable54 Unbelievable5

FACT!

noobGooner

Agree1 Disagree0

So we shouldn't believe everything in the media, you advise not to get our hopes up about Cesc's return. And you back this up by mentioning his participation on Xavi's wedding (yes, a few days ago I saw the pictures and every insignificant detail in the media. ) I am confused now. As for buying a house or constructing or him personally digging out the base - these factors are not the ones that matter the most when you happen to be a superstar athlete earning the weeky wage he is on. A shed or a palace it just doesn't matter. Of course it is very likely he won't return to Arsenal it is just the reasoning that is a bit strange.

hearing stuff from italy suggesting that napoli are in advanced talks with both real and higuain after real accepted a bid of £25.7m. however higuin prefers e move to arsenal as he wants to play in prem and wages. napoli are only offering him upto £130,000 compared to arsenals £150,000 contract

lyon and arsenal are in talks over a swap deal for gervinho and gourcuff
i hope we get both of these two add another two world class players

Believable10 Unbelievable42

Actually to all the reports I've read napoli are only offering £70k per week not the £130k you are saying which says to me you are embellishing it, the question is why?

Agree1 Disagree0

Gourcoff is far far far from world class. He is average at best and can't stay fit. Roma bid for Gervinho and his ex coach is there. He'll prob go there we want cash not a replacement that will sit on our bench and take up the opportunities of our younger talented players. Eisfeild, Gnarby, Chamberlain etc.

Agree1 Disagree0

Have you even seen a game with Gourcuff? He´s by far better than Gervinho and he would fit perfectly in Arsenal.

I have been toldthat arsene Wenger is the person who is stalling on the higuain deal. The player is keen personal terms and fee agreed but the deal relies on Wenger approving it. Gareth Bale to Real Madrid relies on them selling Gonzalo Higuain to arsenal and raul Albiol to Napoli and fabio coentrao to benfica, spurs did not have a bid it was false information by palmeri. Albiol and Coentrao should be completed in the next fortnight and the higuain deal relies on Wenger and whether or not Suarez becomes a realistic option.
Trust me.

Believable14 Unbelievable43

Wenger is not holding up the deal. Real are. I'll trust Graham Hunter on this

You don't know a thing. it's about the extra money they want. dirty tricks by RM. fact. km

Agree0 Disagree0

Real Madrid have upped the asking price but your right in saying Arsenal basically have Higuain if we want him and yes Suarez is a realistic target as Sky reported our bid was closer to 35m and we will go in again with an improved offer.

Arsenal to sign Two players, one striker, one ATTACKING mid and no goalkeeper

Believable10 Unbelievable32

No substance.

We don't need another attacking mid

we have Rosicky, Wilshere, Cazorla, Ramsey, Arteta, Chamberlain can play there too.

ON the flanks we have Walcott, Podolski, Chamberlain and Gnarby.

It will be a striker, DM, and GK

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah we really need another attacking midfielder

Agree0 Disagree0

It do make sense now, Marca reporting that we are selling Cazorla to Atletico.

TV5 would have been straight swapped for Cesc (& the applicable clauses dropped as CF4 is obviously of greater value) but he got injured and effed it all up.

This would have worked out for all parties:

Barca, really need a CB, and can't promise Cesc a starting spot, so an improved/extended deal isn't likely to be up for discussion, and the clause with AFC makes it difficult to sell him

Cesc, wants an improved deal to match Neymar, Xavi, Iniesta, Busquets, etc. And he loves AW & London, would settle quickly in midfield with Arteta & Cazorla, and has unfinished business with us, whereas he has already won everything with Barca. Plus we are now prepared to pay the big salaries to the right players, and high earners in Spain have cause for concern with their precarious banks.

TV5 would reignite his career.

Wenger still has cash to (not) spend, shows the world he can still sign a superstar and no longer has a captaincy problem as our captain returns from his stint playing in the sunshine.

Barca now want Kos instead of TV5, but Wenger won't sign off on that; and Barca even entertaining the idea of selling Cesc has resulted in some mistrust, meaning maybe the player being made available for the right price (which is double the price for any club than what Arsenal would have pay - probably £60m - AFC would get half back).

SmokingGun

Believable13 Unbelievable29

Why would they want TV5 sounds tosh to me especially the last bit

dave

Agree1 Disagree0

Why would arsenal have to pay £60 million? There is a clause for first refusal and £25 million to buy back isn't there? That's what everyone is saying. That's why it doesn't matter if Man U get a offer accepted, narcs have to offer him to arsenal before selling

Agree0 Disagree0

Cesc dosent want to go anyway he dosent want to play for any other club other then barca simple

Agree1 Disagree0

Get a life - stop wasting out time.

Agree1 Disagree0

Verm doesn't need to reignite his career, he's having a bit of poor form.

Barcelona are aiming higher than verm too, they want tiago silva

Listening to Graham Hunter (journo based in spain) on the radio this morning. He seems to generally know what's going on in spain.

He said that Arsenal's nose has been firmly put out of joint, regarding Higuain.

He said weeks ago arsenal agreed a fee with RM and they gave arsenal permission to speak with Higuain- personal terms where done with the player. When all done and dusted RM decided to put the transfer fee up!

Arsenal, naturally where not happy about this!

Hunter went onto say that RM can't do business like that, etc. and it doesn't do them any favours.

He also added that Higuain is far from happy with RM right now (understandably).

On hearing this, I can understand some ppl's view why arsenal put a bid in for suarez.

I think in reality there is only a small chance of suarez coming, but I guess arsenal have nothing really to lose- if they managed to sign suarez then great, but as expected he goes to RM, they can then go back to RM and try to get higuian at the original agreed price.

So I reckon a very small chance of getting suarez, but eventually a much better chance of higuian.

I am afraid its a waiting game atm.

Believable82 Unbelievable8

Real Madrid have offered Higuain to Liverpool in exchange for Suarez.

Unlikely. Higuain has doubt about moving to England anyway. He wants to remain on the continent. Hence the delay in the Arsenal negotiations.

Higuain is also unconvinced that Arsenal can challenge next season. This has also caused a delay. Personal terms have been agreed but Higuain has slowed things down, waiting to see what else happens at Real and other clubs.

Either way, Higuain will not want to go to Liverpool because they are not in the CL

Agree1 Disagree3

I want to believe this, it is consistent with the way the the big two Spanish clubs do business, tapping up, underhanded tactics, and bias refereeing in the CL. but who knows.

Agree0 Disagree0

Second post your chatting absolute rubbish, Higauin has come out saying he would be suited to us, his father was absolutely adamant his son would be playing in the Premier League. Everything was agreed as everyone including respected journalist has said compared you one!

Agree0 Disagree0

This was explained about a week ago! Seeing as it's illegal to talk to a player under contract unless you've agreed it with the club/you've agreed a fee with the club, then it stands that the fee being touted, and reported in the sun, were correct. Thanks for passing this on as it seems people still don't realise that it's not us playing silly buggers here, yet people are using it to bash the club as usual.

I said it. Raf Honigstein said it. ESPN said. Logic said it, and now you've said it - Madrid are being total arses, it's quite unbelievable really. And Higuain's camp was said to be very happy with our terms and looking forward to a move.

Still, I think there's a good chance it will happen. He wants to go, Chelsea don't want him, he won't go to Liverpool (absolutely ridiculous idea), City aren't after him, Napoli will either have to pay £30m-odd after selling Cavani or they'll sign Damiao.

Reports seem pretty clear today and yesterday that the Suarez bid was a) real, and b) higher than reported, c) rejected and d) we'll be going back again.

I think there are a few twists and turns yet! My fear is that we end up with nothing/ some second rate striker and we hear 'we were never in for Higuain/Suarez' - I think my tolerance of AFC's media lies would vanish!

Agree0 Disagree0

Second post your talking complete unsubstantiated nonsense. There is no evidence to your claims.

against your claim Higauin doesn't want to join us is tv, ESPN, Marca, AS, Higuain's brother, Higuain's father, Higuain, Guillem Balague, and almost every respected journalist in sport reporting football.

You loose shut up with your negativity. Arsenal have made a bid, agreed personal terms and Real Madrid have upped the asking price.

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely once arsenal have been given permission and agreeded personal terms than RM can't do a thing legally.

if any club did that would they be liable to be taken to court/fifas governing body by the pursuing club?

any insight into those laws/restrictions EDs? {Ed029's Note - Arsenal would need to agree a transfer fee with the club that holds his registration. There is nothing wrong legally with any of this.}

Agree0 Disagree0

It would appear that Arsenal have done all they can at this point to sign Higuaín, without making a stupid bid for more than his worth to try force Madrid’s hand!

I think us bidding for Suarez is a very smart tactic for two reasons;

1 – We get Suarez and instantly strengthen the squad – regardless of what you think of him he would be a great addition for footballing reasons

2 – We force Madrid’s hand into buying Suarez and in turn Higuaín comes to Arsenal

I would personally prefer Higuaín on the basis that Suarez will miss 6 games at the start of the season and his temperament is questionable – both excellent recruits for the squad no doubt, chances of getting both? Slim. that would be incredible though!

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh I thought we had agreed a fee, hence why we moved on to talks with the player.

i may be naieve but am asking for clarification.

ed's can you either explain :D or help me find explanation to transfer M. O's?

Agree0 Disagree0

Reality check people - this is Arsenal we are talking about and I think that the club will be quite happy not buying anyone and relying on the excuse of "inflated prices" but sadly I think that the fans will not fall for it again.

Agree0 Disagree0

What's sad about the fans not falling for it again?

IF true, it would be about time.

Agree0 Disagree0

He wants to remain on the continent

Ed's what are the chances of going head to head with united for fabregas. And if it came to it, are you confident he would choose arsenal over united, or would the persuasion of RVP convince him to go to united {Ed029's Note - I don't see Fabregas returning to Arsenal over the summer mate.}

Believable8 Unbelievable28

He's not leaving Barca

Agree0 Disagree0

RVP won't be able to convince Cesc to go to ManU
- RVP was never more than a work mate previously.
this is darren dein all over again trying to engineer a move.
cesc turned down double his money from man city before moving to barca this guy in my opinion will not go to OT he's like |T. Henry AFC or nothing in the prem.

MB

Agree1 Disagree0

Fabregas going to Manchester United is a 70/30 certainty. Still room for doubt but the bid from Utd is solid and a clear sign of intent. Arsenal might retain first refusal but the player will decide. Some indications that Cesc would prefer to remain in Spain but a money spinning move to Utd very probable.

In short - Fabregas will not move to Arsenal

Agree0 Disagree1

RVP never more than a work mate? Then why did they vacation together in America in the 2011 close season?

United bidding for Cesc means that they've a) received encouragement that he would come b) have factored in our first-refusal clause and have come to the conclusion that it may not be an issue.

Agree0 Disagree0

Provide one reason why Fabregas is better off joining United than staying at Barca?

Agree0 Disagree0

Fabregas will not move to Manchester United and you should keep your false fabricated statistics. He is unlikely to leave but if he does he will deny Manchester United knowing Arsenal will bid for him. How many times does he have to say Arsenal is the only team for him, he said himself he would not go to United and anyone saying otherwise doesn't know him and has never spoken to him.

enough negativity on this site.

Agree0 Disagree0

"Fabregas going to Manchester United is a 70/30"
In your dreams. The man said himself he will only ever play for Arsenal or Barca'.
Not too tricky is it?

Agree0 Disagree0

Vilanova has confirmed that Cesc wants to stay.

hi Ed0029,

could you elladorate on your reply? it would perhaps allow us gooners to feel a little less sick about the prospect of cesc joinging utd. do you not expect him to return because you don't think that he will leave barca or because he will choose utd?

thanks in advance for your reply.

louis1913 {Ed029's Note - Another Ed says he does not expect a move this summer.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Use will more than likely sell one of your best players to Man U or Barca

Agree0 Disagree0

Cesc is and forever will be Arsenal through and through. do you not think he noticed the fans reaction to RVP leaving us (him and Henry both regularly still watch Arsenal whenever possible). In my opinion he will stay at Barca next season and quite possibly see out his career there. What is certain is that he won't go to Utd, he won't betray the fans like that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Barca manager says Cesc happy to stay at Barca. Seems to be papers trying to find a story

Agree0 Disagree0

RVP never more than a work mate? Then why did they vacation together in America in the 2011 close season?

when you earn as much as they do its easy to go to a Mets game together in NYC, believe they are not best mates.

Hi Eds, heard from a friend in Spain that Real are going to offer Higuain and some money to land Suarez. Have you heard this and where does it leave us? Thanks Juan. {Ed029's Note - I reckon he is having you on mate.}

Believable6 Unbelievable34

I reckon your mate is a bad newspaper source

Agree0 Disagree0

This deal was reported in The Times this morning - 16 Jul.
RM offering Higuain to Liverpool in exchange for Suarez.

Unlikely to happen because Higuain is not convinced about a move to Arsenal and will be even less convinced about a move to a club not in the CL

Gervinho could now be on his way to Lyon. Roma had been interested in a deal but were unable to match Arsenal's valuation of the Ivory Coast international. Reports suggest that, if Lyon offer 7m (£6.1m) plus Yoann Gourcuff for Gervinho, then Arsenal could be tempted to accept the bid.

Believable17 Unbelievable33

Would have preferred grenier!
any how it's possible he signed a 2 year extension so they have to pay less to buy the great yao kouassi lol?

PdotY

Agree1 Disagree0

Gourcuff waaaaay better then Gervinho

Agree2 Disagree0

Roma have offered 7m Euros. 1m off AFC's asking price.

Rudi Garcia and Wenger are v. good friends. He'll go to Roma.

Agree1 Disagree0

I think Gervinho goes to Roma as well, or if Lyon come in with a straight cash bid.

I tihnk we will be back for Grenier next summer, so it makes no sense to take Gourcuff.

Hopefully Wenger will make a decision on the striker, although I still think our BEST case is Higuain, or a lesser striker otherwise.

Agree1 Disagree0

Gourcuff is lazy - 1 good game in 4.
