Hi Ed,

Obviously a striker is the priority, and today Zlatan has been mentioned... Don't see it happening, but could you shed any light on his situation? Thanks.

JDutch

{Ed001's Note - he is available and his agent held talks with Man Utd a while back regarding a transfer there. I do not know of any interest from Arsenal.}

Any news regarding centre back targets Eds? A lot of talk about Manolas & Nastasic.

Thanks

JDutch

{Ed002's Note - Manolas should happen although there was an enquiry from MU.}

Would love to wipe they're eye! Even for Manolas!

Keep moving down boys!

don't know much about this one. is he any good?

3.) No idea--watched him in the Greek team v Costa Rica and he was decent iirc but wasn't paying a whole lot of attention.

Highly regarded in greece if that means anything

Hi Ed,

I remember the other day you mentioning that you expected a development on Khedira by Friday. Any news on him? Also, what do you make of these rumours regarding Cavani, anything in it?

Thanks

JDutch

{Ed002's Note - He is leaving RM - that news has come and gone.}

St Totteringham's Day has arrived. Decent performance against a terrible Newcastle & one step closer to Champions League qualification.

Giroud - Thought I'd put my 2 cents worth in.

I love the guy and understand everyones arguments about him to a degree, but this is the way I see it.

Yes he has done well this season being his first, and he has something like 16 goals and 12 assists. Now this is very good for someone in their first season, BUT statistics don't say everything as some people are stating. Are you telling me that because statistically Walcott has the most goals and assists for us this season he has been our best player. No, and I guarantee 99% of people would agree with me on that. And I'm sure most people wouldn't even say he has been top 3, or possibly even top 5.

So my point being, is that although it is Girouds first season in the Premier League and he has done well, personally I feel that he isn't of the quality to be our starting striker, and that's why most people are slating him. Not because he is absolutely terrible (which he isn't), but because is isn't good enough to be a STARTING striker for a team who are looking to win trophies.

Anyway COYG, let's get 3rd place!

JDutch

1.) 100% agree.

2.) Yep, absolutely agree with you.

3.) We are all aware of that. I don't think anyone here does think we don't need a world class striker, because we do. fact is right now we have giroud, and we need to get behind this team and go to battle. offseason is time for us to create mayhem for those rich *****

4.) I think the point is some people on here thinks he's useless and want to get rid of him and are not getting behind him.

5.) I'm one who thinks we don't need a ST. Just need to play Podolski up top.

Spend 25-30m on Reus for LW. Sorted.

6.) Either attracting a work class winger or striker might be harder than just spashing the cash. But yes move Pod upfront would also work. Just one really really good player please!

Just a question to everyone as I only go to about a dozen games a season I might not be best placed to answer it. When was the last time anyone heard the chant 'Arsene Wenger's Red Army' ringing around Arsenal. I haven't heard it years.

Not really much of a point to this post, just wondering.

Just like to add though that we can all moan in the stands until the cows come home about Wenger and the board, but at the end of the day, we can't change anything so just get behind the team and support them as best as we can.

We go to the games to support Arsenal FC, not Wenger or the board. The same reason we buy the shirt or even a coffee mug.

COYG

JDutch

1.) Never heard that chant before. Presumably you mean "Arsene Wenger's Red and White Army"? After all we are not Liverpool or Nottingham Forest and besides it doesn't scan without the extra two words.

CECEGUaW

2.) Couldnt say it any better. Well put!

3.) Occasionally hear only 'red army'

Confirmed that Sagna is out for the weekend. Jenkinson to start then. Not sure if it's a good or a bad thing yet. Sagna's experience might have helped, but Jenkinson will give the definition of 100%.

Ed, when you say 'Arsenal has moved on', have they moved on to anyone in particular?
