Just read on a website ( can't remember which one ), that Manchester United are consider a bid for Gervinho. Only trouble is, Roma want £40 million!

Same website stats that Arsenal will have a £100 million transfer chest, with Ruddy, Benzema, Bender, Remy, Manduzic and Schniderlin all top targets.

I'd be happy with those! lol

Only just got from work and have been itching to post ever since I heard the news.

Had to deliver a kitchen today, which just happened to be at the home of one of the ssn presenters. Obviously got talking about football and I proudly mentioned to be a Gunners fan.

He said you must be looking forward to the summer and pre-season, given the potential signings. He didn't give out names for obvious reasons, but he seems to have insider knowledge on four signings. One is near enough complete ( just contractual stuff to sort out ), to which I mentioned Draxler. No response, apart from a smile.

Two others are from the same premier league club. Again, I had to fish for whom they may be. Your feeder club was all he said. La Lana and Shaw perhaps?

The last is from foreign climates and is a forward. Wouldn't give out any names or country though. He was kind enough to plant two £20 notes in my hand before me and my mate left though!

steveafc

1.) Pleased you had a good day Steve and the presenter was obviously a decent bloke to give you both a score plus some great rumours to remember him by.
You make sure when you spend that 20 you've got some back up cash just in case it turns out to be dud.
Not saying it will but just in case

2.) Id love shaw to be played on the right if he can (some players can play either wing) and schneiderlin are the ones i'd take if shaw can't then either rodriguez or lallana

3.) Until you said a forward from foreign climate I thought the two players from the same premier league club would have been Dzeko and Richards from City. hmm interesting. No clue who it might be then.

Forward from foreign climates I'm hope for either Balotelli, Mandzukic or Diego Costa.

4.) How on earth would a tv presenter have any inside info to tell you and not ssn. It would be a massive headline for them and take up hours of pointless chat and would come up on the bottom of the screen as " ssn understand ". Get real mate, no one's got a clue what Arsenal are up to!

5.) You never heard of confidentiality?

Yes, it would be easy for him to grab all the headlines and announce it on tv. then watch his relationship with his source go to pieces just to make himself look good. Is it worth it. not a chance, hence why he chose to say what he did.

Anyway, it doesn't really matter if the rumours are true or not, I was passing on to what I thought was a bit of gossip.

6.) Hey Steve I enjoyed reading your rumour mate, if it comes off :-) if not you had a good day and £20

7.) At first I did not believe that this would be true but after thinking about it, I realise the presenter could be Jim White or Brian Swanson who do have reliable sources so there could be some truth to this rumour.

8.) Were Mot Interested In Lalana Were Interested In Morgan Schneiderlin

Just got back from the match and I can't say that I was that impressed by the team Arsene put out today. Why was Rosicky missing, cause we definitely mised him today? The passing through the midfield was far too slow until Jack and Gnabry came on.

Anyroad, strong rumours amongst many fans and pundits today, that Arsenal will put in a bid for both Benzema and Nani in January. Apparently, talks are ongoing with Nani and his reps.

I was fortunate enough to sit behind the Arsenal dugout this afternoon. I didn't hear it myself, but when Tommy V stepped up to take the direct free kick, either Bould or Wenger said something about moving the bus in the car park or words to that effect. Cue fits of laughter in the dugout and from us sitting behind. They obviously didn't have any faith in Tommy, and that was proved with a shocker of a free kick.

Another thing that was mentioned amongst the Arsenal and Man U fans, is the form of Otzil. £42 million has been a complete waste of money for me so far, and loads were saying the same thing. Got to give the lad a chance mind and I guess he is still settling in and playing out of position, but the lad is bone idle. He may well have had a goal in the 2nd half if he'd had gambled a bit. Jury is still out on him i'm afraid.

Sagna though, was outstanding. Two wicked crosses that no-one threw themselves at. It'll be a different result at the Emirates, cause I don't think Man U were that good TBH, it was just we were so poor.

steveafc

1.) "anyroad"
"give the lad a chance, mind"
"bone idle"

Are you from emmerdale farm?

2.) That comment about TV is pretty slanderous and has annoyed me a lot. If bould or wenger thought he was that bad, I doubt they would have made him captain with arteta on the field. Stop talking nonsensical ****. United scored off one chance, it was a game which they were likely to win. We dealt with them for most of the game but lacked sharpness. Move on, thinks are looking positive.

3.) And that comment about Ozil. It's a free country, but to turn on someone this quick is a piss take.

4.) Let him have his day Bggins mate, some one on the Liverpool page posted about Giroud getting lost in the tunnel in response to one of our posts about their sas last week.
What goes around comes around, its his TODAY!

5.) If you re-read my post, it says nothing about TV being a crap player. From what I heard, they just didn't have any faith in him hitting the target. Quite how or why that is slanderous, only you know!

As for Otzil, I suggest you re-read that part aswell. I haven't turned on him at all. He has showed quality. the Napoli game springs to mind. But he his played out of position, and i've no doubt once he plays off Giroud, then we'll see just how good he is. Remember when Ramsey was out wide last season, half the fans thought he was rubbish and now look at home. Wenger seems to be adapt at playing quality players out of position. I know we have an abundance of midfielders at the moment and you obviously can't play them all at once, but please play them in their proper position or bench them. Square pegs etc doesn't win you the big matches, which was out downfall today.

The Sunday Mirror has also mentioned that he's agreed personal terms, so it must be true!

Kasper Schmeichel has been mentioned recently, as I think he's out of contract at the end of the season.

One name that hasn't been mentioned, and one that i'd love to have at Arsenal, is David Marshall from Cardiff. Whether he'd be content to be sitting on the bench, I don't know. But if Fab is leaving, he'll be a top class replacement.

There were a few rumours amongst where I was sitting, that he was in the stand. On me way to the lav, I heard one chap talking to a steward, who reckoned he was there with his agent. the player I mean, not the steward!

Be a good acquisition and competition for Giroud, if not a direct replacement.

Even though we've only seen glimpse's of him since he signed, and despite his age, i'd have him over Arteta any day.

Be a good squad member if he does join.

But if you look at his performances against clubs with top class centre halves, he struggles to make an impact.

Despite that though, i'd still want him to lead our line, although I do wish he wouldn't keep shaking his hand when he goes down injured. and sticking his tongue out, but I do that when i'm concentrating, so I ain't got no real room to talk! lol

I'm convinced some of the injury concerns are down to the medical team. Obviously, the buck lands with the player, but how many players have we seen come back from injury, only to be out again a few games later.

For Jack though, given his position and aggression, he is bound to pick up injuries, and he seems a marked man, especially this last two seasons.

As for TV5, i'd start looking at Gibbs and his injury record first. I'm sure the lad is made of glass!

Is it a co-incidence, that once Gary Lewin left to take up the England physio role, our injury record has gone through the roof.

And Per. remember how much of a liability he was when he first joined. I'm probably not the only one who thought Wenger had made a massive error in signing him. Coming from a league who's pace is a lot slower than the premier league, both he and Ozil would've had more time on the ball than they do now. Per has adjusted to that and i'm sure Ozil will do the same. We won't see his true potential until next season though I guess.

What I have noticed with Ozil over the last half a dozen games, is that he is usually marked by two players. Even Messi would stuggle to make an impact with that kind of pressure. For me though, £42 million is a complete waste and I personally don't think he's any better than Rosicky. In fact, I don't think he is as good as Rosicky. He is far too slow on the ball, whereas when Tomas plays, the ball gets passed a lot quicker and the tempo of our midfield play is a lot higher.

One player you have missed, who I think is more important than both Flamini or Arteta, is Alex.

If he can stay fit, then I reckon he'll be the difference for us winning the league. We all see that Flamini & Arteta can't play together. Jack is a liability in that position at times, cause he doesn't know whether to stick or twist. For me, he gets caught upfield far too often, mostly when he's flat on his a$re. As for Rambo, i'm not overly keen on his defensive duties. He's too weak in the tackle, gets pushed off the ball to easily, and has the annoying ability to play risky balls on the edge of his box.

The Ox however, strong in the tackle, knows his limitations of dribbling the ball out etc and even at such a young age, has the foresight of knowing when to attack or defend. Oh, and how many times do you see him getting knocked of the ball!

Not only for Arsenal, but for England aswell. he should make the 2nd midfield slot his own. Not only as an attacking option, but the amount of work he got through against Palace in a defensive role, was tremendous. For me, he has absolutely everything to be a world class centre midfield. Even at this stage, I think he can be as good as Stevie Gerrard.

And to make doubly sure we win the league, Podolski needs to be starting more games. Arsene take note!

Jack would need to grow up a bit more, for him to have the armband. As for Rambo, not vocal enough.

I'd like to give it to the Shez, although i'd rather have a centre half doing the honours.
