Eds.Lets cut to the chase here and make things simple I hope! With your insider information do you think or have you been told whether we are getting any players on loan or otherwise in this window. Thanks boys.

{Ed001's Note - sorry it took a while to give you an answer, I was waiting to hear back from someone. I am told that Wenger has looked into getting cover for Giroud on loan, as he doesn't want to replace him, but no one who would improve on his current options was available. He will have a look again towards the end of the window, if he feels one is still needed.
That was the info I was given, I would think, this is just my opinion though, that he will be taking a chance on Podolski being able to provide the cover until the end of the season.}

We have the option of playing Podolski up front & I believe Sanago is nearing fitness. We also have Bendtner back in a couple of weeks. The problem with making a signing in this window is that it could upset the balance of the squad and we only play with one striker, which creates a problem when signing another one, as we would have to drop Giroud or upset a new player who wouldn't play regularly. We really need a player that can play wide & centrally.

Why won't he show faith in Podolski? He is a great finisher and is quicker than Giroud! Think he suits our style a lot more than how we seem to resort to hoofing it long when we are under pressure with Giroud on the pitch.

Never question wenger baz ;). Giroud brings the best out the midfield in my opinion because of his high work rate and the way he holds the ball up. Podolski isn't capable of that. I think with Walcott instead of giroud, we play 6 in midfield rather than with a striker which works better than having podolski upfront. Would want a draxler style player who is capable of being part of the midfield to the same extent to which he is an individual bit like bergkamp

4.) 15 Jan 2014
As of midday today no one is coming in, can't get better than what we have already.

5.) 15 Jan 2014
Don't get me wrong I love Giroud in the team but think Podolski deserves his chance instead of plugging on with Giroud galloping round at 75-80mins chasing long balls. I fully appreciate that we are grinding it out with Giroud up front and winning games so I am not complaining haha he does a very good job for us!

To be fair, we can always get better than what we have - its just a case of spending the money that is required. Not wanting to spend a certain amount on a certain player, is far more likely than it just being a case of nobody available.

Thanks very much Ed. that's what I like a good old straightforward answer that cut through all the crap we keep hearing. By the way you boys are doing a great job on this site it can't be easy .

I second GOLDBOY's sentiments. Thanks to all the Eds for the great info!

Ed001, where have you been?! Haven't seen you post in a while

{Ed001's Note - nowhere mate, just haven't had anything to post on here for a while. It has been all quiet since the summer, Ozil was such a good signing it settled down all the complaints etc.}
