Eds is th Suarez deal now off after what he said today & does it change anythin(in terms of us getting him)? Thanxxx

{Ed022's Note - Suarez has apparently said he's open to staying now. I feel this is a way of going back to Liverpool with his tail between his legs if the worst happens and he doesn't leave. Let's put it this way, if Real Madrid offered £45m or so then he'd be on his way to Spain faster than you can say "Luis Suárez es un hipócrita..."}

Sky tv just reporting Suarez has not said he wants to stay despite recent claims. It was a misinterpretation of him saying he is still there for now because of the fans.

{Ed022's Note - Whenever players go away for an international fixture, stories always come out and the old chestnut of an excuse is "lost in translation..." For someone who imposed a media blackout, its funny how stories still come out...}

Yes I think He will just back down now and just stay one more season ensure he gets his contract clause inserted in writing. Then Madird will come with a 40Mill bid next seaon and he will have to be released.

Ed How can it be “Lost in translation” when it’s a Uruguayan Media story?

{Ed022's Note - Because funnily enough they do speak Spanish in Uruguay mate. My point was, footballers talk to their "home" journalists more so than they would with the British Media. This always happens during International fixtures. However, when a story breaks over here using a foreign source, such as this one involving Suarez, the player usually cops out with "It was mis-translated..." Or "my words were lost in translation..."}
