I have always been a critic of Arsene Wenger, especially during Nasri's last season at Arsenal! . Until I fully understood just a fraction of what happens behind the scenes! Whether you like it or not, Arsenal is run differently, we are a self sustaining club, which means we don't have a filthy rich owner with his ass soaked in oil to pump ridiculous amounts of money, to simply buy success. It may sound a lot better and easier, but on the long run, is it really? I mean, just imagine if abramovich leaves, what sponsor will be able to fund the hideous wages of the chelsea players? that's exactly what happened to leeds utd! Wenger has made Arsenal into a stable club, think of it as your house powering itself, without having to depend on electricity and gas from other sources! Wenger had limited funds during the years due to the fact of the Emirates being built! The emirates was an investment, capacity is higher, which means more income, best (quality) stadium in the league, meaning tickets are a tad higher, we pay the players salary with ticket sales, would we be able to pay using the income from the highbury? NO! Its always dark before dawn mate, now Arsenal crawling back. Wenger just splashed 42.5 million on Ozil, and you think hell stop there? that's like buying a ps4 and no TV. Ozil will kick off a new era, Wenger plans to build a team around him! Why do you think Ozil agreed to join. Leave real madrid for arsenal, a club which hasn't seen success in such a long time! The future looks promising! were signing sponsorships left, right and centre. Sponsorships means money, money means players!

{Ed001's Note - what happened to Leeds is nothing like that, I don't know where you got that complete nonsense from. Leeds never had a sugar daddy owner funding them, they borrowed money set against future earnings, then borrowed more money and more money, then failed to earn enough to keep up repayments. If a sugar daddy had been funding them, they wouldn't have ended up in so much trouble.}

My point exactly! All I meant was that they had a huge salary and wage and etc. post with no backing! we have a daddy, but he is so stingy and cheap that if we were to fail, he would sell us on the minute. Anyway, by the looks of it, Arsene is out on his way and he wouldn't just leave without a good successor and replacement. All I say is that we had no chance of winning the title with only one WC enforcement, and there are good seasons coming up.

I agree fully Afghan Gooner!

Hi Afghan Gooner, yeah I hear what you saying and mostly agree with you. The one thing that kills me is Wengers inability to change tactics. We have become the most predictable team to play against. Since the beginning of the season every time we have a corner where does Mert go? front post, its ineffective teams know he is going there and have prepared for it! In fact i'm almost certain that we are the most ineffective team at taking and defending set pieces.
What we need is a change of tactics and formation.Mix things up a bit, against the bigger team man mark as apposed to zonal marking.
If Wenger uses the same old tactics again for Man City believe me we going to have another "accident
" as he likes put it.

But we have scored more headed goals than anyone else! Surely not down to our poor crossing!

cammy out!

If we had ramsey, wilshere, ozil, walcott I can see we would not be a walkover like we were at chelsea, but it was known the depth of the squad was shocking, and year on year it has shown up.

i have no idea why our medical team is a joke, but ramsey has not played since dec, ozil may not play again, and if you remember ox and poldi missed large parts of the start of the season due to that same medical team.

so i'm not sure if we should invest 100 million in players or 100 million in a hospital.

I'm not fully defending him. I say that the way transfers has turned out, he is not the only one to blame. He couldn't predict the injury list we have today. The tactics p.o.v. is something else that I dislike too. The guy himself knows that time has come for him leave the job for someone with new way of thinking or fresher methods. Just be patient and wait for the summer, I have a good feeling that good things will happen to our team.

Id be happy with buying a good striker and fixing up our training/medical department with the rest of the cash.

thats if noone leaves, if sagna goes then replace him and spend the rest on med supplies :P
