Non united fans are saddened to hear about the departure of David Moyes. Why? Because we knew he wasn't good enough at that level. We fear (or not) certain names managing certain teams in the league because we have an idea if their going to be a success or ultimately a failure.

So here's a question for you!
If Wenger signs a new contract. What do you think our rivals will think?
Not wanting this post to come across all negative about Arsene, but will they think "Oh no!" or "Thank god for that".
Will be interesting to hear your views and those of supporters of other teams.

I believe what they think will not be determined by his signature on a new contract but by his signature on the contract of some quality new signings :-)

I know from my friends they won't be shaking in their boots. He isn't seen as a threat by them they just ridicule his failings.

I think teams challenging for the title next year will believe Wenger signing on will handicap us for any title charge thus giving those teams a greater assault on the league. Teams challenging for the 4th Champs spot will however feel less confident of landing that elusive 4th placed trophy, thus those teams against Wenger signing on.

Personally I think the majority who understand the game above playground level will think, Arsenal will be top four for sure and may be a very big threat if they spend some dosh on 2 or 3 quality players.
Those who only understand my mum could fight your dad mentality will think? I wonder how many marble's I could get in my mouth and still drink a pint in 5 seconds, which will keep them busy all summer

Gunner people above us and mu don't see us as a threat at the moment, they think its 3 easy points.

As a Liverpool fan! i'd say be careful what you wish for. By losing Wenger, you face the dreaded managerial transitional phase, which isn't easy. it has taken us years and many managers to get us challenging again, and look how hard Man U have found it without Fergie. all i'm saying is, don't think getting rid of Wenger and bringing ina "Big" european name will be any guarantee of progression, it is likely to take a couple f years and could mean no champs league for a year or two.

Thats a fair post Red H, I think the majority want Arsene to stay if he spends decent money on good quality players to improve us now not at some point bargain buys.
If he decides to call it a day?
