I know it's very early days but I cannot praise Calum Chambers enough. At The Emirates Cup and the first three games of the season, he has been outstanding. A few moments in the game tonight but overall, he was excellent. A composed English defender who can tackle and play a pass too. Let's not forget he's only 19!

He was every bit as good as Giroud was bad. He is living a dream right now and long may it continue.

Giroud on the other hand is in the middle of a nightmare, It seemed more than a lack of fitness, he just appeared half hearted in everything he did or barely tried to do.

I never understand how a manager sits and watches that kind of performance and does nothing.

I'd be surprised if anyone argued with that Doc Green, 16 million is looking a steal

Gotta agree with the comments re Chambers. He has been outstanding in each match so far. As for tonight, I thought Szczesny played really well too. But going forward (similar to Saturday) we seem disjointed and so lacking in pace (unless Sanchez makes a run - with nobody helping him). Giroud was extremely poor and Cazorla anonymous. Ox, Campbell and Rosicky need to be considered for return leg to show some urgency. Let's also hope the intro of Ozil, Poldoski and Per will improve things. Bilic still an irritating buffoon too.

Calum is a future England centre back for the next 15 years, the composure on the lad is amazing
