So on this day 18 years ago, a man named Arsene Wenger took charge of his first game for Arsenal. He has since racked up well over 1000 games and has become our most successful manager ever.

Our style of football has changed, players diets have become healthier, we now have a state of the art, 60,000 seater stadium and we can pay big money for world class players like Mesut Ozil, Alexis Sanchez and Nacho Monreal.

So regardless of his perceived tactical weakness or his ridiculous stubbornness and failure to address weakness in key positions, we do have a lot to thank him for!

His achievements for this club are massively underrated and will only be fully appreciated in years to come.
Do I think he's a man who can deliver a team capable of achieving top trophies again? No in my honest opinion his loyalty to players who are not up to the job and his stubbornness will prevent that ever happening but he deserves his chance over this and the next two seasons on past merits alone.
I get annoyed with him but never want him to be sacked, that would be wrong

Monreal? You joking? .

But none the less, he's done an amazing job, I've worked into most of my posts about how wenger needs to go, but there's no ignoring the job he's done over the near two decades at the club. the biggest legend the club has ever had.
