Mers and Hoddle couldn't be more right. We are tactically clueless. 3-0 up and Ramsey and Flamini are still bombing forward instead of staying square and protecting the back 4. All any of the players cared about besides Sanchez and the Ox was getting on the scoresheet.

I know we play attacking football with full backs constantly bombing forward, but do we need to do that at 3-0 up? No one even bothered to think about protecting the clean sheet.

This is proof that the problem lies with the manager. He made no indication that he wanted any of the players to change what they were doing, almost as if he expected them to rubbish the tactics themselves. Wenger has no plan B and expects teams to just lie down and except defeat when we're in front. That's not how the game works, nor has it ever worked that way.

His tactics are outdated, he has no leadership qualities and ultimately it his him, his tactical naivete and his new system which doesn't suit a single player in an Arsenal shirt, that is costing us results.

Wenger out! PLEASE!!

Couldnt agree more!

Been a long time fan of Wenger but just recently the plot he has lost. Any other manager in the prem would have reacted when they pulled one back but no response not even to change the strike partnership and give our guys a rest. no quite happy to watch the whole disaster unfold. I know we are not down and out yet but we have to get a result against Dortmund and if that doesn't come off a trip to Turkey with no more than victory required to garantee progrees beyond the group. Dark days indeed.

This has been going on since Wenger broke up the invincibles.
He has no defensive awareness. Other than Campbell and Kos what other top quality central defender has he brought in TV5 was hit and miss and had too many injuries.
I truly think it's time for this man to step down because his ideas and philosophy at first were brilliant other teams have looked at that and have improved on it and moved past us. Poor Sanchez what has he let himself in for.
Every team look dangerous when they attack us why is that .
We all slated the Ginger tw@t on when he said years ago that Wenger used to be good but now he ain't.

Many of us have been blinded to this due to the love of our club

CIG,

Not sure if you watched it but Monday night football on Sly Gary Neville did a piece on Southampton and their ability to defend as a team and how well they did it.

He did the same last year about the same team but at that time with Pochettino in charge and not Koeman.

That's two seperate managers who can get a team to defend and defend properly, it has not stopped Southampton scoring goals whilst only conceding 5.

It is ridiculous what is happening at Arsenal, it is unforgiveable for a manager of the supposed quality of Wenger to let it continue.

How you can get battered 6-0 in a landmark game by your nemesis and still not learn, still not fill the gaps and still not prevent it from happening beggars belief.

I have been a Gooner for over 45 years, backed Arsene to the hilt but he is pushing even my patience.

We will win nothing with the likes of Mertesacker, Flamini, Arteta, Giroud and Welbeck running through the centre of our team.

Whatever vision he sold to Ozil and Sanchez he better bring to fruition sooner rather than later.

Those guys are used to winning, winning and winning some more. An FA Cup every now and then is not going to cut it.

Don't think I have ever felt more disappointed than I do right now.

Stoner,

I think that is also down to the hunger shown by the players at Southampton, and the lack of hunger shown by our lads.

At any other club, Cazorla and Ozil would have been benched and the Ox given more of a chance. With a fully fit squad, Rambo would have been benched, and Flamini, Mert. Chambers would be playing centre half, and with Debuchy injured any other manager would be playing Bellerin.

It doesn't stop there. Barring Alexis, Ox, Koscielny, Theo and to a degree Welbeck, all of our players have become far too complacent. Ozil is a marquee signing, he know's he'll make the team sheet under Wenger. Arteta is captain, Per vice captain, the know they'll start. Podolski doesn't care as long as he can tweet and use instagram. Cazorla is in crap form, be he know's he'll get the nod. Monreal knows he won't play over Gibbs when fit, so he's not bothered.

The only players doing anything are the ones with points to prove.

Alexis - God
Welbeck - England
Ox - England, and Wenger is too stupid to play him half the time.
Gibbs - England
Chambers- Future starter
Bellerin - Future starter
Kos - He's just a fighter, the only real leader we have in the back 4.

Notice that apart from the younger lads, and 2 exceptions, most of the lads that have something to prove, it seems it is more with their international interests in mind, rather than whether they get the nod with the club.

This problem rests solely at the manager's feet. Without bringing in the squad players to create depth and competition within the squad, the players who do start become complacent and show no hunger to prove that they deserve to start. because to Wenger, they already have.

Also, having the stones to actually bench one of our stars when he's having a torrid time would be nice. AW seems to the the only manager who doesn't do this. He'd rather coddle his lads then make them push for their real potential. They're grown men for crying out loud!!
