Why doesn't Podolski play more? The guy scores every time whether its 5 minutes at the end of the game or when he starts. He gives us something no one else can a frigging bomb for a shot. He would open so much up. I have said this many times. I am baffled

Because he is ridiculously lazy. He needs to play in a system that does not require the wide forwards to track back.

Agree totally he offers something a bit different directness and he always shots on sight. He can be pretty deadly with that left foot and always tends to have impact on the game. Perhaps Wenger just sees him as a impact sub but he deserves more game time as his goal ratio considering how few minutes he plays must be top notch.

G95 is spot on

Agree 95 shame though it is, but added a few million to his January fee last night

Sheeny just took my words, G95 is spot on. Podolski is a very lazy player. he's great as a forward, however for the 1st 20 minutes he will track back and then he loses concentration. that's why he is always pulled off after 60 minutes. Most teams like their players to track back, we like to do it more as we are a very attacking team. This is why I believe Wenger doesn't use him much because he won't do what he tells him to which is track back. IMHO
