I must say wallcott form and involvement is really worrying, he just doesn't seem involved in the game neither offensively or defensively. Hopefully the OX and Alexis can get back quick.

On another note great to see Ozil come back, and now he is challenging covering more grounds, and yes even winning headers.

Give him time, he'll be the first to say he's taking baby steps and working on his football after being away from the game for so long - just be glad he's getting goals, it can only be a good sign. Everyone was wanting to rush him back into the team and now you want him out?

2.) 11 Feb 2015
Do you know something called stats and contribution, he made 9 touches and completed 6 passes. Now is that what u you want?

3.) 11 Feb 2015
I agree with both posts above Theo's involvement is a worry but yes it is early days after so long out, but time is running out on the potential and fitness fronts imo we can't keep waiting and waiting for players to be either fit or consistently good.
Rambo proved himself last season over a sustained period so earned some patience on the fitness and form fronts but players like Theo need to deliver very very soon or they'll be retired to sly sports before we know it

Hood, Theo's game is reliant on the midfield supplying him with balls to run on to, they were poor last night. He is also being wrapped in cotton wool a bit because he has been out for so long, I think he has a lot of goals in him.

I haven't seen the stats but pass completion can be a bit misleading as for instance someone like per would have a higher rate because the passes are sidewards in our own half.

Theo is a definate asset and i'd rather he played for us than against us.

Players aged over 21 need to be named in the 25 man squad so I think you have to think carefully about both fitness and consistency when allocating a squad number to players like Theo Jack Gibbs all of who are potentially brilliant but as yet unproven over can sustained period other than to be injury prone.
Harsh? Disloyal? Guilty on both count's but can we afford to keep being patient with players yet to make their mark

6.) 11 Feb 2015
Take your point G69, but that is why you have a 25 man squad.

There obviously is a serious problem at our club with injurys especially to the players mentioned, but Theo is good for 10-20 goals per season even if he misses a whole lot of games

Agree 337. Yes I do know something called stats and contribution which is why I'm agreeing that he is taking baby steps and isn't there yet and no that's not what I want, but atleast the goals are coming and he can see he needs to work on his game.

Although I disagree, I can see G62's point - he wants Theo out due to him making a habit of being unavailable for most of the season. However, atleast he doesn't expect him to come back after so long and set the game on fire (that's Arson's job. nope? Don't worry I'm leaving).

He has scored 3 in last 4 games.
What more do you want?

9.) 11 Feb 2015
Spot on Dags, that is the contribution you want. or are people forgetting about the other 9 outfield players .

Dags, agreed

I bet there were games Wrighty touched the ball 4. Centre kick, control and shot, picking it out of the net after his third touch in the match.

Although, if playing out wide - he needs more involvement to impact the game more but difficult to complain when he's scored 3 goals plus been out for a year

11.) 11 Feb 2015
Agree with a lot of the posts - Theos injury was a real bad one and it's frustrating but understandable that getting back to 100% is taking a bit of game time - he's starting to look very confident with his finishing though!

12.) 11 Feb 2015
We all love Theo and want him desperately to be the player he is so capable of being but it has to be on a regular basis if we ever want to challenge for the biggest prizes
Our injuries don't help of course but that makes it even more important people produce when they are available.

Man, sometimes it riles me being a Gooner fan. Its like some fans sit there and think, mmmm what Arsenal player am I going to pick on today?? Well today is Theo day. Right whoever mentioned look at his stats past the last games. Right the two most important stats for me is he scores goals and we get 3 points. Simples. he's just come back from a serious injury, were on the rumour mill, he was touch and go whether he would be the same again (Im sure it was Dags who commented about 10 months ago, I could be wrong). The injury he had, some say the footballer will never be the same again, ie lose speed. Remember the injury happened without being tackled so that's even physcologically scarier for the player. Like Ramsey, I think he mentally needs to get over his injury, hence why he is salon selecting his involvement, even though he looked storming against Villa IMHO. Guys we didn't just lose the last game, we won. So why moan?
