on whether he was ok to take Alexis off…
Yes I was ready to take him off at half-time but he said, ‘no it’s okay, I can go on’. When I watched him play I thought, ‘No, that hasn’t [got better]’. Sometimes when you run it off it’s just a kick but he became worse and I didn’t see him in the second half.

I have a feeling Sanchez could be out

Posted yesterday Sanchez should be rested for Leicester and Boro game.

But does Wenger listen to me?
Hell no.

Dags for assistant manager I say.

Leicester ran us very close yesterday Dags if Arsene had rested Sanchez and they nicked a draw people would have been calling for his head.
Trust me room for error in the pursuit of top 4 is running out, best fit 11 at all times and rest people in the FA cup and even CL if absolutely necessary but not the PL

{Ed025's Note - im with you G62..

G62,

Are we not big enough, strong enough, talented enough to beat a team struggling at the bottom of the table without relying on, admittedly our best player, who is still carrying an injury?

I hear what you are saying mate, and if Sanchez was fully fit I would totally agree with you, but we should have enough talent on display to beat a struggling team, without risking further injury to an already 'injured' player.

We should've locked that game down but judging Leicester just by their position in the table is doing them a bit of injustice. They've played better than those above them for the most part but just haven't been able to bag the goals they ought to have done. Plus, without a more direct player like Wilshere or The Ox, we're always going to find it difficult to break down teams that camp their own box.

Sanchez want a to play every minute regardless of how tired or injured he is. You can't really fault Wenger for playing our player of the season in a game where 3 points was vital.

Its a scenario where Wenger can't win. If he rested Sanchez and we failed to win then i'm sure people on this site would of gone ape-s***. Then again now he's picked up a knock we are questioning why he played.

The fact is, he has been our best player this season, so in league games, if he is fit then he plays. Give Wenger a break.

I think top 4 complacency is rife Ed and a lot of people assume Southampton will just disappear and spurs just accept the natural order of things as always without a fight, I'm not so sure about either.
We need to expect and plan for a real battle all the way and then anything less will be a bonus

Listen, don't judge Leicester's position in the table. We just got beaten by our rivals, 3 days later, we didn't shake that off. Leicester are a pacey, direct team. Every game for them (like us, is now a cup final). 2nd half they were the better team. I got ripped when I went to the gym by a Man u Fan who decided to tell me, that Leicester pushed us to the edge and that we were lucky. I gladly reminded him that Man U were 3-1 up before they got ashamed by Leicester's turn around. For me Arsenal have only played a handful of games were we can say, they played well and out classed the opponents, however, we are still winning games
