The cost of live premier league TV has risen 4000% since 1992 imagine what you would need to be earning now compared to 24 years ago to have kept pace?
If were earning £100 a week back then you need to be on £4000 a week now to keep up.

{Ed025's Note - im not taking a pay cut for any reason.. :)

Mine did too Steve but it sounded to outrageous so I checked it and apparently it's 40 x the original figure which is much more reasonable of course :-)

I think there should be a commitment from every club to to reduce the entrance fee by the same % that Sky increases its subscription by meaning the deal is not just news for players clubs and agents but also for every fan that attends games too.

Steve, G62,

Financial Gooner in peace.

100% = 1x

4000% = 40x

Beating LC, Tottenham loss = Happy Gooner

Hope that helps.

BR :
If were earning £100 a week back then you need to be on £4000 a week now to keep up.
That's 40 times but:
(4000 - 100) = 3900
(3900/ 100) * 100 = 3900% increase

🤓.
