That was a bad performance and according to one of my mates, after the match the TV pundits are saying the Spuds are nailed on 4th. They are playing well and Conti has gone from a bloke ready to throw in the towel to a magician ?.
We got a exceptionally young squad with some key injuries but we are still in the driving seat and Arteta needs to get them mentally right for Saturday against Brighton who on their day are a very good team.
Just like to say that I have been be very vocal on here in support of Lacca but this might be the time to drop him and play Martinelli down the middle.
Well done Palace, better team by far on the night and good luck in the Fa Cup.

We can lose games, we will lose games, that goes for every team. However, that performance was awful. There is no excuse for such a lack of cohesion, tactics, structure etc. I was totally baffled, its as if the team reverted back to the first 3 games of the season. Panic stations, stray passes, frustration with each other, looking to others to 'make something happen'.

Hopefully Arteta can get the team flowing again for Sat, but without Partey and Tierney, I really worry. For me they are irreplaceable, our back up options are not good enough. Tavares, I am lost for words at how poor his last 2 performances have now been. Lokonga, whilst decent, is not yet ready to play to Partey role. Lacca, well, it was like playing with 10 men.

My bigger worry, as history has shown us, when these games have happened before its usually because of Arteta falling out with someone (Ozil, Auba etc) , and the team suffers. I pray this isn't happening again.

Lefty I would think Martinelli Laca Saka with Smith Rowe behind and Oedegaard with Xhaka. I am available to play left back, think I could help or at least not do any worse. Only thing you can do is put it behind you and move on but agree Tierney in particular a massive miss not only because he is quality but because of the lack of quality as cover VTH.

with talk of tierney being out for season and no sign of tommy, its time to finish the season with a back 3 of white, holding, gab, wing backs cedrick and saka ( on left) partey, xhaka in midfield, esr ( left) partey right and martielli upfront, we can't finish the season with tavarse or xhaka at left back.
