I’d take 1 forward Ed. We need a partner for Rice and definitely a proper leftback. Can’t watch Zinny spending 5 mins to turn inside onto his weak right foot giving opposition the upper hand and not being able to defend.
Wasn’t that impressed with Kai today to be honest but you could say that about a few players today.
Don’t get where we changed from being fearless to scoring and then being timid. Haven’t we learned from last season. We were lucky today - penalty decision was lucky and 5 Vs 1 counter attack was fortunate. We didn’t look dangerous in fact no shot on target in second half. Not because no striker but we seemed hellbent on not playing a fast forward pass.
Outside of Zinny we defended well which is good - decent lucky point I’d say and Arteta needs to figure out ho we play once we go 1 up against the big boys.

Yep and we need to play like that against Liverpool. Thought we dominated them for 15 mins. Playing it forward fast, pressing, intense and first to ball.
Seemed to then play within ourselves like we are not a big team.
I have high expectations because we are one of the big guys.

The positives outweigh the negatives by a country mile.
We haven’t even truly hit top gear yet either.
I think we all have high expectations but yours seem off the scale and I don’t mean any offence.

I've been on this site for 10 years now and we seem to have always been just 3 players away from something or other throughout those 10 years, I would imagine even the invincibles were just 3 players away from something in some people's opinions ??? ?.

I really don’t think we have anyone to fear, in fact it’s pretty much the opposite.

Hi SY mate, I was reading live chat and I saw how happy you were when we went 1 0 so early into the game and I immediately thought "oh no, now SY is going to accuse us of being bottlers if we lose this game", I had to laugh later on when after Liverpool equalised you didn't disappoint mate ?. If we are to win the league then our standards have to be super super high as it’s a difficult league to win and margins of failure are tiny. Team needs to be obsessed with winning to win epl just like Michael Jordan was.
Sorry to be negative but we won’t win the league without addressing some of our weaknesses and last seasons lessons.
I just want to win the league Ed. 2nd = might as well be 4th.
{Ed014's Note - I understand that SY but every top team has weaknesses and ours aren’t glaringly worse than Cities or Liverpools.
So it’s more than possible for us to win the league for me.
