Ed002, are Arsenal interested in Ederson da Silva, at Atalanta?

RSharpe

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any Arsenal interest and they have other targets.}

Rumour doing the round that Arsenal could offer ESR in a swap deal for Douglas Luiz.

ESR not really getting games with us.

RSharpe

1.) 13 Nov 2023 20:14:27
Shame if true. ESR is a better player than Havertz, and could do a good job in there if given the chance.

2.) 16 Nov 2023 14:01:09
I am a big ESR fan, but I am starting to wonder if he is going to another Jack Wilshire (also a player that I loved in an Arsenal shirt)

he seems to have never really had a sustained season without an injury and when you consider that he was ahead in his time scale of first team than Saka was and how far apart their careers look now I am for the first time starting to wonder if we would be better off moving on From ESR.

Which I really dislike saying out loud.

Ed02, if you have the time, I have a question about club ownership. So, a person can't own more than one football club in the same league. How does that work for teams that are legible for the same competitions, like Europa League, Champions league, etc?

RSharpe

{Ed002's Note - The rukes are related to majority ownership, so owning a small percentage is not an issue. For situations whener owners like the City Group own several sides, those with the lowest co-efficients will be excluded. For clubs like RBL and RBS the ownership structure was changed to accommodate them.}

1.) 14 Oct 2023 01:55:33
Thanks ed, so for example if Girona and city qualify for the CL, would Girona be excluded and if they are, would they drop to the Europa League or be totally excluded?

{Ed002's Note - The City Football Group do not have majority ownership of Girona.}

I have a good feeling Mudryk will sign for us. He already has Only Jesus tattooed on his neck.

Just watched some clips of the lad. He looks very assured on the ball. If he fits in, he'll be some player for us.

1.) 06 Jan 2023 07:17:58
I'm not worried about Chelsea interest in him. The guy set his heart on arsenal and the way he's been behaving on social media indicates his only interested in joining us.

Shakhtar been a nightmare to deal with and United ruined the transfer market with antonys valuation.

I like what I'm seeing from him. I think him and felex will be a statement from arsenal but doubt we will get the 2.

{Ed014's Note - to be fair Mo United have ruined the transfer market with countless over priced transfers!

That Antony is absolute garbage, he makes Pepe look like Messi! Jason Sancho another one. ?‍♂️

2.) 06 Jan 2023 08:09:15
Totally agree ed mate, so you can understand shakatar point of view when you have 2 clubs in the PL in chelsea and untied are willing to pay over the top for players, selling teams start licking their fingers when they see they have an opportunity to take advantage.

{Ed014's Note - it’s only natural mate, it’s such a long time since we’ve had a saleable asset (player) that we forget what it’s like and would probably be doing the same.

3.) 06 Jan 2023 10:32:45
14, it's Jadon. Jadon Sancho. Also, surprised you didn't mention the fridge ?

Moe, I'm not keen on a Felix transfer to us. I can't see him setting the EPL on fire, but I could very possibly be wrong.

4.) 06 Jan 2023 13:30:31
Hey sharpy mate, hope you're well bud.
I think Felix can do well in an attacking team such as arsenal or city or even barca. But we can say the same about mudryk too.
What I see from mudryk is his immense when he has space to run at defenders but can he do we games are locked and 10 players behind the ball like last week game. So a player with good dribbling can get through couple of players the suddenly you have a chance. I think Felix can create those spaces. IMO, I ain't no football manager in the end. ?.

02 Aug 2022 19:01:36
Ed002, what gossip have you got for us? Feel free to tell us things you wouldn't tell your shrink. But also some stuff about transfers and such.

RSharpe

{Ed002's Note - There is not much new - Tielemans and Melo are players the club are keen on, but ned to move players on.}

Not buying any of this "Havertz was our best player" malarkey. He's really not shown anything yet for the outlay on him. Every time I see him with the ball, he's trying to get rid of it like it's a hot potato.

Next leg will be interesting. Our patch, home crowd, hope we stuff them.

First though, Newcastle. Tricky game.

In other news, anyone else seen the clip of Cara running up and down the studio celebrating a win against Luton? Just get down the tunnel, spitty.

RSharpe

1.) 23 Feb 2024 08:20:28
Sharpie good morning

No one is saying Kai is world class but he was the best of a bad bunch and in my opinion he has been very good in the last 5 league games

All this bashing reminds me of the shyte Granit use to get

I think kai has 6 or 7 goals this season not bad for someone who plays midfield or number 10

Give the lad a break.

2.) 23 Feb 2024 09:09:11
Carraggers got a spit personality.

3.) 23 Feb 2024 15:21:05
He may not be as touch-heavy or incisive with his passing as you would like but it doesn't mean he's been bad. His movement off the ball creates space for others and the upside of being conservative means we retain the ball when he plays it safe. I would like to see him try through balls for Martinelli a bit more but on the whole i think he's been pretty good lately.

4.) 24 Feb 2024 08:14:02
Mal, the lad has 5 goals, but what's more telling is the 1 assist. He's just not in amongst it.

Wrighty is the man.

05 Feb 2024 06:59:49
why is Spitty so wound up about Ode celebrating? I don't get it.

Aside from that, we played a blinder. The mix up with Saliba and Raya took a bit of the gloss off, but other than that, a great game of football.

I didn't scream at Zinny once in the first half and not sure why he was subbed.

#COYG.

RSharpe

1.) 05 Feb 2024 08:30:01
It was great game of football, apart from the saliba and Raya mess for their goal nothing else to fault.
I think martinelle should get more credit for his goal, that shoulder but VD of balance and made him run into his Alison.
Let them celebrate how they wanted. I really don't understand why people are bothered on how any team celebrate.

2.) 05 Feb 2024 08:44:09
That was very clever of Marti. I only appreciated his genius on the replays. Lad showed a football IQ of 200.

Seriously though, every manager drills their teams differently. Celebrating small successes are part of our drill. It hurts no one and is great for the players and the fans in terms of motivation.

Cara's just spitting feathers.

3.) 05 Feb 2024 09:09:24
Feck the lot of them.
We celebrate how we like.
Carragher has a great way of letting his emotions go hasn't he.

4.) 05 Feb 2024 10:14:45
Being humble in defeat is quality most don't have but is an extremely admirable quality in those that do have it. Hence no one admires Jamie Carragher but most people admire Klop and Pep.

Humilty separates those who walk the walk and those who just rant a loads of old balderdash.

5.) 05 Feb 2024 11:22:59
I mean klopp used to sprint the whole pitch when they had their time. And no one said shyt. It's only when our arsenal do something everyone will have something to say.

6.) 05 Feb 2024 11:35:36
Moe he even runs on to the pitch to celebrate

I love it when arteta does it

More please.

{Ed014's Note - that and his fist pumps to the kop! They were so bitter on live chat.

Properly embarrassing, we could and should have scored 6 where as they didn’t even score one! ?‍♂️

7.) 05 Feb 2024 12:04:28
I remember when we won the title in 89, I couldn’t believe how much bitterness they showed.

8.) 05 Feb 2024 15:12:39
"it's only 3 points, you haven't won anything yet, just go down the tunnel"

was a really stupid thing to say, win lose or draw the players shouldn't just go down the tunnel, but show their appreciation to the fans who've paid to watch them.

It's odd that players often celebrate like crazy after a goal and no one calls them out that they haven't even won the match yet. But if they celebrate after winning a match it's OTT and they haven't won anything yet.

I didn't even think Odegaard was celebrating very much, just involving a background team member in the moment, I thought it was very wholesome and insight into why he was made captain.

9.) 05 Feb 2024 18:52:21
"I didn't even think Odegaard was celebrating very much, just involving a background team member in the moment, I thought it was very wholesome and insight into why he was made captain. " THIS!

Imo when the players celebrate a win as if we won the league like some people suggests, i can how the gaffer and co instil the idea of the next game is the most important game. Not just media talk, and i absolutely love that mentality.

{Ed014's Note - that’s exactly what he was doing, Carragher just couldn’t hack the loss, he’s a twonk.

Like I said further up, he never says a thing when Klopp is doing his stupid fist pump sh1te to the kop like they’ve just won something huge. ?‍♂️

10.) 05 Feb 2024 18:40:49
It is pure bitterness devoid of all dignity. Football is an entertainment industry and people are supposed to enjoy their entertainment.

My advice to anyone who can't handle defeatn in football is the same as the advice offered to gamblers, when the fun stops, stop, take a break and regain your composure before getting involved again.

11.) 05 Feb 2024 21:37:09
More reason to give Martinelli a run down the middle? He has lots of striker attributes in my opinion.

1.) 22 Jan 2024 10:20:16
Mate, fantastic day. Great insight into the club and the sport with some great stories about his time at AFC.

It turns out that Wenger, as strict as he was about routine and diet, was actually really humourous and thrived on the players having a good time, pranks and all. Of course, they didn't always get away with it but Ray Parlour was integral in the comradery within the group.

It was awesome to spend some time with him 1:1, albeit for 5 mins but spoke to him loads throughout the day as we walked around.

If anyone gets the chance to do it, I highly recommend it.

2.) 22 Jan 2024 10:39:30
So pleased you had a great day Glenn mate, its a fantastic, eye opening experience.
I done mine some years back and had Charlie George take us round
Absolutely superb??.

3.) 22 Jan 2024 12:51:48
Thank you Bill mate!

I think that fact that it was 4 hours and we got to sit down and have food with him in the Diamond Club is what made it better. It wasn't rushed, we all asked multiple questions and yeah, just a great experience all round!

All I need to do now is be successfull in a ballot for a game ?.

Luis apparently has a £103 million release clause. Thought Lavia was a £50 million prospect.

Is selling the project harder because they're trying to stay on the right side of FFP? I remember when Man City and Chelsea were first taken over, they really splashed the cash. Newcastle don't seem to be doing that.

RSharpe

{Ed002's Note - It is nothing to do with FFP.}

Ed002, why is Newcastle seen as a less tempting solution?

RSharpe

{Ed002's Note - Because they do not have the high-profile of other clubs and need to sell their project to players.}
