Lots of reports this morning we are close to signing Alexander Isak. Has anyone seen him play?

He is one of the two strikers I wanted.

So is that a yes or a no that you've seen him play?
(Apologies VM. just taking the p**s over the exchange below) =P.

Hahahah that made me chuckle.
Who was the other player VM?
Tbh I feel like we need a CF, someone who can hold play up, is physical and disrupts defenders and can bring our widemen into play and take focus off them because we can see already how teams are doubling and trebling up on Saka.
I don’t think Isak has the physicality we need to take our attacking to the next level.
Calvert Lewin, Toney or Watkins for me are PL proven and have plenty of scope for improvement in a side like ours. I know we’re not the force we once were but we’re turning a corner and maybe the players themselves would consider it a step up.
Unless there was a deal to be done with Abraham in the summer as we really missed a trick signing him in September.
Martinelli- Abraham- Saka is a serious front three and they offer variety in attack.

I'm a big Ivan Toney fan, not sure Brentford would want to let him go though.
{Ed014's Note - buying someone because you have the hots for someone isn’t always the best way Sally.
Bit like 62 refusing to sanction the sale of Calum! ??

Hehehehhe the other one was the Florentina striker I won’t try and spell his name as I have trouble in that department and mostly rely on predicting text lol.

Just my 2 cents, but one name Ed002 mentioned that intrigued me was Arthur Cabral. Basel CF, should be (relatively) inexpensive coming from a "lower" league. and we've had good luck with Brazilians lately =D.

Tend to watch a fair bit of La Liga and Isak always looks a pretty decent player from what I have seen.
Would put him more in the PEA bracket for his style though, rather than a CF who is also physical and can bully defenders, which is what I would prefer.
Saying that though he is over 6ft so should be able to handle life in the Premiership. More importantly he probably fits the mould in that he is not in the same league as the top tier forwards, such as the Haarlands of this world, and so while the rich boys are chasing them, we might just stand a chance.
Also Real Sociadad have a reasonable track record of getting good players early who then go on to bigger and better things, with Griezman being one from memory.

Play like Nicholas Anelka, but not sure if he is that quality.
