Lots of chatter about us going back for Mudryk, even the Athletic hypothesising about it.

I reckon it might work what do you all think?

Sallyjannine

{Ed002's Note - I would not hold your breath - or do you expect Gabriel Martinelli to depart?}

1.) 29 Feb 2024 13:04:52
Absolutely not Ed .

2.) 01 Mar 2024 01:38:16
James McNicholas says all indications point to the ship having sailed from Arsenal's POV. Given the scale of the contract he's on, I doubt Chelsea would want anything less than what they paid for him.

It is also worth considering how utterly inept he has looked from a tactical perspective. I doubt Arteta believes that it's all coaching, there may be a lack of ability to follow instructions.

What do you think about Mudryk given the year he's had Ed002?

{Ed002's Note - Mykhaylo Mudryk (LW) Chelsea rejected an offer of him going on loan to Bayern Munich in January and Napoli asked about him being part of an exchange for a player. Chelsea will talk to the player, whose family is now in England, before the summer. He was unsettled whilst his family was still in Ukraine but that has now been resolved.}

3.) 01 Mar 2024 15:36:08
I think he has great potential but he needs lots of coaching to maximise it. I'd agree he's not needed here because of Martinelli.

4.) 01 Mar 2024 16:33:25
He can also play as an attacking mid I read but we have plenty of options there atm.

5.) 03 Mar 2024 07:57:46
Not sure if it's something anyone would know. But we tried to sign him when we already had martenelli so what would the difference be now. Unless arteta wasn't sure on martenelli at the time.

6.) 11 Mar 2024 10:59:03
Tbf D16 after we missed out on Mudryk, we did sign Trossard, so I guess then we wanted cover and competition for Martinelli which we have now.

7.) 15 Mar 2024 14:03:13
Aside from a couple of recent good goals, he has been terrible for Chelsea. For me, he can stay there.

03 Dec 2023 14:47:34
I know ed002 said CP have no interest in selling but I reckon Michael Olise wouls be a good fit for us if he ever became available.

Sallyjannine

{Ed002's Note - Michael Olise (RW/AM) PSG and Manchester City want him as cover although the departure of Mahrez will mean more opportunities now, but their focus is now on another player. Crystal Palace has no real interest in selling but know that Chelsea want to take Olise back to Stamford Bridge and Olise has made clear that one day he wants to be playing with his brother. Down the list of AM players Chelsea want but they need a replacement for Ziyech and they will perhaps push for him.}

Thanks for replying Ed.

Just reading Arteta may be willing to let Ramsdale go if he asks for a transfer. For 50m!

I reckon this could be 1 of 3 things:.

1. Its male cow's waste.

2. He values him so highly he doesn't want him to go and so is pricing him out of the market.

3. He thinks he can get that for him as there are rumours linking him with other PL clubs.

Do you have any info please Ed002? You oreviously said Ramdale was biding his tume, has that changed?

Sallyjannine

{Ed002's Note - Aaron Ramsdale (G) Ramsdale is stuck rather and needs to figure out his future with Arsenal. Wolves are very concerned about losing Sa and are keen to take Ramsdale to replace him.}

1.) 29 Nov 2023 14:51:15
Thanks Ed.

2.) 29 Nov 2023 15:33:31
I can't think of anyone (unless they are 18 or 38) in his position who would stay. I would expect him to leave for no less than £30m.

3.) 01 Dec 2023 10:11:43
if I remember correctly he signed a new 5 years deal at the end of last season so we will be in a strong position to command that sort of fee for him.

he still has over half a season to fight for his place, I am a big Ramsdale fan, but I do feel he needs to put up a bit of a fight, he came in as a no 2 and saw no problem challenging the no.1.

we are 13 games into a prem season and people seem to be telling him to wave the white flag and move on. are we going to suggest that if he became England's no,1 he should change the country if a new keeper comes along and challenges him?

he is a good keeper, but he is not a keeper that is ever going to be at a top club without the question if he can be upgraded, so if he wants to play for the top top teams then that is something he is going to have to get used to. or he goes to a Wolves and has a good career without playing at the very top IMO.

4.) 01 Dec 2023 20:15:06
But if the manager has promoted someone above you and clearly prefers him to you, how can you possibly fight for a place?

It certainly appears that MA wants Raya as his number one.

5.) 02 Dec 2023 11:40:50
I suppose the same thing happened to Tierney, another fan favourite. Mind you his unjuries probably had aomething to do with that.

6.) 04 Dec 2023 13:32:38
I guess the team to look at 62 is Man city, which is the team we are all trying to beat and compete with.

John Stones has had to continually fight for his place with several expensive defenders coming into the team, no complaints just keeps fighting.

Jack Grealish went for £100 million - but no finds himself playing back up to the new guy, no complaints just gets on with it and fights.

I don't agree with the way Ramsdale has been dropped without really doing anything on the pitch wrong (obviously we don't know about behind closed doors) but I don't agree that any player should just walk and give up after 14 games of a season because they have lost their place, regardless of the reason if we want to be a top club.

if that makes sense.

Question for ed002 please.

Are Arsenal showing any interest in Vlahovic at the moment Ed?

Sallyjannine

{Ed002's Note - Dusan Vlahovic (S) Only joined in January 2022 but financial issues that Juventus now have and goalscoring problems will determine that he is sold in the summer – but they will hold out for €70M. Regardless of his loss of form, there will be a lot of interest if he is and his agent has approached Manchester United, Chelsea and PSG. Real Madrid are also keen but, like Chelsea, have preferred targets. Chelsea were open to an exchange of players last summer but right now there is no push as his wage demands are seen as excessive and they will look to other targets first. PSG have him as a possible Mbappe replacement - but not first choice - but don't lose sight of them. As a wildcard, Arsenal may rekindle interest but would likely want to include players in any deal. Juventus have already drawn up a list of potential replacements and are working on those.}

1.) 06 Nov 2023 19:14:46
Hi ed, any interest you know of evan Ferguson?

{Ed002's Note - Evan Ferguson (S) Maybe an offer from Newcastle will eventually happen but they have other targets. Spurs are trying to offer a structured way forward for the player who needs to stay where he is for a while. Brighton offered a new contract which places him out of bounds for some years whilst the likes of Manchester United and Chelsea look on.}

2.) 06 Nov 2023 20:09:37
Thanks as always ed002.

3.) 07 Nov 2023 23:26:46
Thanks ed!

Question for ed002 please.
Would you know if Ramsdale is looking for a move away from Arsenal please.

Sallyjannine

{Ed002's Note - I suspect he will see how it goes with opportunities.}

1.) 23 Oct 2023 20:04:46
Thanks Ed, as ever.

I'm really pleased to hear ESR had a slight injury and that was the reason he wasn't in the squad yesterday. I was worried he had been overlooked again .

The future looks bright with a 16 year old getting on the field :)

Sallyjannine

1.) 12 Feb 2024 20:54:53
I know West Ham had given up by that point but Nwaneri looks so composed on the ball. I've often thought that we often hold out hope of players like Azeez or Patino coming good at Arsenal, but the reality is that if they were good enough, they'd already be in and around the first team - like Saka, Wilshere, Cesc, etc.

2.) 15 Feb 2024 07:51:29
Some talent is used as as investment for the club. Not every talented player can make it for the club, some players don't fit the system so they are good for future sales I think.

3.) 15 Feb 2024 08:51:33
That’s very true Moe mate

City do that all the time.

05 Feb 2024 09:58:50
"Was at the Emirates. Both teams played badly. "

I saw this on the Liverpool page and was a bit surprised.

Sallyjannine

1.) 05 Feb 2024 10:25:00
Had a look on their page sally

We made them look bad and they can’t except that.

2.) 05 Feb 2024 10:59:31
Sally, he must have been sitting behind a tall bloke.

3.) 05 Feb 2024 15:59:24
Or forgot his glasses lol.

27 Jan 2024 14:30:12
Should we recruit the Maidstone keeper as backup? Lol.

Sallyjannine

1.) 27 Jan 2024 15:23:16
Played a blunder didn't he Sally.

2.) 27 Jan 2024 15:28:39
That should say blinder?.

3.) 27 Jan 2024 16:58:37
Stuff that dreams are made of :)

4.) 27 Jan 2024 19:06:13
Yeah but what's he like with is feet?

5.) 28 Jan 2024 10:17:30
What's he like without his feet!

6.) 28 Jan 2024 10:49:00
Good question Davy, he'd be a couple of feet short without them.

7.) 28 Jan 2024 11:22:43
I was quite good as a keeper in my younger days John and my wife said I have got 2 left feet.

{Ed025's Note - must be a bugger buying new shoes bill.. :)

8.) 28 Jan 2024 11:27:50
Tell me about it Ed mate.

9.) 28 Jan 2024 15:05:30
Much easier to nick two letf shoe's Bill ?.

10.) 28 Jan 2024 16:21:18
Never thought of that John
Thanks for the tip??.

11.) 28 Jan 2024 18:45:03
Before you judge anyone, first walk a mile in their shoes Bill

That way even if you don't change your mind about them your a mile further away from them and you've still got their shoes mate ????.

12.) 28 Jan 2024 20:17:06
Very interesting.

13.) 29 Jan 2024 13:30:25
He might keep Raya and Ramsdale on their toes lol.

14.) 29 Jan 2024 18:04:38
True Sally but it could take him 2 or 3 seasons to find his feet ?.

26 Jan 2024 11:01:52
Judt reading Klopp is leaving at the end of the season. Didn't see that one coming!

Sallyjannine

1.) 26 Jan 2024 11:18:07
I know sally, they’ve been in contact with me to take over, but mrs Malaga thinks I’m a bit too old.

2.) 26 Jan 2024 12:51:35
Surely not Mal! Lol
Just seen his interview. Its time for him to rest up a bit it seems. Can't be easy with the sort of pressure these top managers are under.

3.) 26 Jan 2024 15:21:26
Terrible terrible pressure Sally
Getting up every morning wondering how you are going to spend your 200 grand a week on top of the worrying fact if your sacked your contract is paid up in full.

4.) 26 Jan 2024 17:28:57
That's a shock, he will take some replacing and I don't see the once hier apparent Steven Gerrard being up to the job but he'd certainly get more time than any other contenders.

{Ed025's Note - i think Alonso looks a decent shout G62..

5.) 26 Jan 2024 17:50:30
Would have loved klopp to takeover arsenal n sad to see him retire. On the plus side though the stars lining up nicely for arsenal. Man united n Chelsea can't be taken seriously anymore. Mancity to get heavy ffp penalty n will be relegated Liverpool without klopp will be a mess n take time to sort out happy days coming ahead boys n girls.

6.) 26 Jan 2024 17:52:02
He's still driving for Aston Martin mate, not sure he could make Sunday games :)

7.) 26 Jan 2024 17:52:34
Hi sal. likewise… I don’t think anyone see that one coming….

8.) 26 Jan 2024 17:53:12
Think Alonso could be the number one choice Ed mate.

9.) 26 Jan 2024 19:14:22
Good shout that Ed025 mate ? he'd definitely get time and support from the fans, I think that will be essential for the next manager mate.

{Ed025's Note - yeah so let’s hope not G62 ?

10.) 26 Jan 2024 21:40:37
Absolutely Ed025 mate, let's hope the Liverpool board go for ten Hag ? that would make the vast majority of football fans happy, especially Man United fans ???.

{Ed025's Note - all of us i think G62, my preference would be Allardyce though or maybe even Oli could take the wheel mate.. :)

11.) 27 Jan 2024 05:48:58
The Alonso rumours seem strange to me considering the historic nature of what he's doing with BL. I'd be surprised if he just up and goes next season without seeing the project through.

If I'm honest the attitude of many fans of big clubs with regards to managers and players who are just starting to do well has always bothered me. Feels strangely disrespectful.

12.) 27 Jan 2024 08:30:36
It's the nature of football wire mate, big fish steal from smaller fish, Real are the apex predator and level 9 clubs of the football pyramid are ultimately the plankton.

The big 5 take from other premier league clubs who in turn take from championship clubs who take from league one and so on, football is and has pretty much always been a capitalist game.

In the words of Coolio

The power and the money, the money and the power, minute after minute, hour after hour, been spending most our lives liviving in a gangsters paradise.

13.) 27 Jan 2024 09:04:12
John are you not a bit too old to be quoting Coolio?

Us air stealing old Folk should be spreading the lyrics of Hank Williams.

14.) 27 Jan 2024 09:32:23
You ain't singing it to Michele Pffefier are you John.

15.) 27 Jan 2024 11:01:56
I reckon klopp takes a year off then moves to Bayern.

16.) 27 Jan 2024 11:51:52
Hi Mark, from a jack to a king? Wasn't that Hanky baby?

Hi Bill, me and Michelle got up to stuff when we were both much younger, the fact Michelle was never physically present during those times didn't seem to deminish mine o or her enjoyment at all if memory serves me right ?, well she kept coming back for more anyway ????.
