Good evening Eds, is there anything in the rumour PSG and Barcelona might be coming in for Bellerin?

{Ed002's Note - Perhaps Barcelona - there has been interest.}

1.) 22 Feb 2021 19:37:06
Ed any chance we can get rid of PEA?

2.) 22 Feb 2021 20:10:37
Thanks Ed.

3.) 23 Feb 2021 12:27:09
Get rid of pea 😂 was that meant to sound as disrespectful as it looked.

4.) 23 Feb 2021 17:13:37
Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang. Not intended to be disrespectful. Is he worth his wages? Not a chance. I don't think there's anything disrespectful in that statement.

5.) 23 Feb 2021 17:28:57
I agree Alex.

6.) 23 Feb 2021 19:09:05
Come on eh guys
This is a guy who has carried us with his goals the past few seasons, especially as our defence was so dire.
I’m sure everyone woulda been saying at the time “auba signing a contract would be the best signing of the summer” he signs. If the contracts huge so what, we got what we wanted no? Don’t forget agents are at play when negotiations happen, not all Auba’s fault.

{Ed077's Note - You(Arsenal FC) got what you(AFC) wanted when Oil was tied down to his bumper deal and yet it was fine to slam him but PEA should be held immune because why exactly? His performances have been below par since the beginning of the season and he hasn't lived up to anywhere near the levels he set. Be measured and respectful fine but don't be blinded by his goals 12 months ago when you are judging him NOW.}

7.) 24 Feb 2021 07:54:21
Maybe you should all show some respect, could you concentrate on work if your mother was on deaths door I know I couldn’t.

{Ed077's Note - Strength to Auba and family. It's a tough ask to concentrate on your game when there is so much going on in your life. So take a while to approach when having a go and respect the issues going on in the background I say and that applies for everyone.
I completely agree that it would be nigh on impossible for me to be able to concentrate on anything if someone in the family is seriously unwell.}

8.) 24 Feb 2021 11:10:52
I hear what your saying ed077 buu it in my eyes Ozil was treated completely unfairly. Obviously something happened behind the scenes between him and the club over his comments about religion in China. Arteta started him in all his games up to tha point n then boom he’s dropped completely out of the squad. He’s exactly what we’re missing right now so maybe the club were right to extend his contract but other situations occurred to which the club chose money over squad Harmony.
Auba’s not immune to criticism don’t get me wrong but to just get rid of him because he’s had half a bad season in which he’s had horiible family issues is ridiculous to be honest.

{Ed077's Note - something happened with Ozil and Edu as well, didn't it? Also they stopped showing any Arsenal games in China until Mesut was dropped.
Getting rid just now may be too harsh and too hasty of a decision but he hasn't been anywhere near the standards of his previous seasons. His off field issue does mean he deserves more support and time to turn things around.}

9.) 24 Feb 2021 17:02:55
Yeh apparently so Ed, not to sure what it was or what it was about but going by what ed02 says (Edu’s out of his depth) then maybe we did get rid of the wrong guy perhaps.
That’s right Ed, it’s shocking by the Chinese to give Arsenal that ultimatum really and for Arsenal to oblige for that matter. What’s your thoughts on it Ed077? Would you be happy if that happened to Utd with say Rashford?

{Ed077's Note - I would rather not speak about China or CCP too much but I would obviously side with whoever I thought was in the right ( Ozil's thoughts were justified IMO). I don't know whether it was a straight out ultimatum but showing a replay of Spurs game I stead of scheduled Arsenal game is a strong enough hint for most people. I would never be happy if someone is punished for raising a voice against wrongdoings be it be Radford or Fred or Jones.}

10.) 24 Feb 2021 17:59:56
Jegooner, ozil is wrong. He was employed by Arsenal and we have a code of conduct and he broke it
If he had political views he should of waited until his contract had finished and then expressed his beliefs.

Good riddance.

{Ed077's Note - it was more a humanitarian view IMO, malaga.}

11.) 24 Feb 2021 18:19:11
Really Mal, Really? Arsenal don’t own him mate they pay him a wage (yes a luxurious one) but a wage nonetheless. Out of hours who’s right is it to tell someone they can’t voice an opinion on human rights, equality and there beliefs to help people.
I can’t see in what way he was wrong in that. How can you punish someone for that?

{Ed077's Note - me neither Jegooner. I don't see much fault in him raising his voice against an issue that needed more attention.}

12.) 24 Feb 2021 18:28:55
Ed, I’m sorry if this upsets you or any posters but I have 2 tattoos

1- I have an Irish and Italian flag crossed with my family crests

2- I have my wife’s, daughter and granddaughters name set on top of a cannon

I really couldn’t give a crap about ozil s views about a province in china.

{Ed077's Note - it doesn't mean Ozil isn't allowed to share an opinion on it or raise his voice against it. Just like I can't tell you what to do with your tattoos or Ozil for that matter. You don't have to agree with something to see that there could be another point if view on a topic. Also you probably don't actually know what concerns Ozil was trying to bring some light onto with the way you are talking.}

13.) 24 Feb 2021 18:44:50
Ed, ozil used Arsenal as a speaking platform, he would never had done at a Turkish club

He used Arsenal.

{Ed077's Note - I don't see it as such Malaga. He didn't use Arsenal directly to raise his voice, Arsenal just got attached to it because he happened to be your player at the time. Or am I missing something.}

14.) 24 Feb 2021 18:59:52
Ed the problem at the Chinese Provence has been going on for decades. He waited until he got his new contract and them came out with it

Please, I’m not stupid

{Ed077's Note - Better late than never malaga. And he got the contract while Wenger was still at the club and raised his voice after Arteta's arrival. A good 2 years into his new deal.

Maybe he only found out enough to show concern last year?}

15.) 24 Feb 2021 19:15:11
Ed, I want to make it clear, I am not a racist. But I am sick and tired of every excuse under the sun being made for ozil.

I have been an Arsenal fan for over 60 years and we’ve had a code of conduct that every past player and manager has stood by

Ozil broke that so he can f^^k right off and will never be an Arsenal legend in my eyes.

{Ed077's Note - never said anything about you as a person now did I? Maybe I remember the great moments that Ozil gave everyone while you know how frustrating it was on his off days. If speaking against injustice is seen as bad by Arsenal and their so called "code of conduct" than it only makes me happier to not be a Gooner.

Let me end this by sharing= with you a saying= we have round my area. If you randomly shout "Cut The Thief's leg" then the Thief will instantly move his leg in order to protect his leg getting hence giving away the truth.}

16.) 24 Feb 2021 19:17:07
😂 Mal are you saying Ozil shoulda just got a tattoo? 🤣
Belter! 😂 (nice Ink by the way)

I completely agree Ed, it had nothing to do with Arsenal, he’s a famous footballer voicing his views hoping to help people’s lives. China brought Arsenal into it by threatening to discipline them really mate
Your beliefs are your beliefs until you believe no longer, so i'm sure he’ll still use his reputation to help no matter where he’s at.

17.) 24 Feb 2021 19:30:26
Now, now ed

I wonder how you would of reacted if he was an old bogger

It’s easy to comment when the shoe is on the other foot.

{Ed077's Note - what's an old bogger mate? Typo?}

18.) 24 Feb 2021 19:40:41
So am I correct in thinking you don't think Rashford should have spoken about school dinners, Malaga? Is the China Uighur situation not popular enough for you or is it because you're not well enough versed to run commentary on what Ozil's beliefs are?

19.) 24 Feb 2021 19:46:42
An old bogger is slang for old Trafford

Geiger, you can bring other arguments into as much as you want. I’ve said my piece.

{Ed077's Note - so you want to know how I would react if Ozil was an old bogger, meaning if Ozil was Old Trafford? Well it would be difficult to play football there right? I would still be pissed off and very very disappointed and at the club if they punished a player for raising voice against injustice and exploitation of human rights and would be very critical of the club.}

20.) 24 Feb 2021 20:04:02
Ed so the next time you buy any Utd merchandise you’ll be looking to see what country it’s made in.

{Ed014's Note - I wouldn’t be seen dead in any United merchandise mate!🤣🤣

21.) 24 Feb 2021 20:16:17
Night mate

Stay safe.

{Ed014's Note - and you mate

22.) 26 Feb 2021 22:28:15
Ed77, you’re the first Ed I’ve seen spout proper nonsense and essentially start an argument.

Your opinion is poor at best, and you sound misinformed.

Easier not to say anything than talk nonsense.

{Ed077's Note - what nonsense did I talk exactly?}

23.) 26 Feb 2021 22:57:20
I don't believe the Uighar issue was the problem. I just think the club couldn't see a future with Ozil and just wanted his wages off the books. Obviously that causes moral issues as his contract was due to run till June. I adored watching him play a few years ago and I wish him well. I think the whole saga shows a steely aide to Arsenal, not sure if that is good or bad. I often wonder if the mood at the club is better since he left. Perhaps Eds could help with that?

{Ed002's Note - Oezil was not the reason players are unhappy. All that has happened is two of the unhappy ones have left.}

24.) 27 Feb 2021 11:40:21
Thanks for the clarification Ed, that's good to know.

25.) 27 Feb 2021 18:49:33
Yeah how dare ozil speak out against injustices. The world is full of **** and I see atleast one here.

26.) 03 Mar 2021 16:40:04
So 5kywalker you gunna enlighten us then or what? Intrigued to know how ed077 comments are nonsense.

{Ed077's Note - I am genuinely curious to know as well. Doesnt hurt to learn something new.}

22 Jan 2021 16:19:35
Afternoon Eds, is there any truth in the rumour we are interested in Ryan Bertrand?

{Ed002's Note - I understand he is being considered as an option but Arsenal would need to pay for him now or have him sign a pre-contract for the summer. If pressed I would guess he will stay at Southampton for one more year.}

1.) 22 Jan 2021 17:04:38
Thanks Ed002.

18 Jan 2021 12:03:10
Hi Eds, is there any truth in the rumour Pochettino is after Bellerin please.

{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any approach from PSG but I understand that Kia may look the a straight exchange of Bellerin and Neto knowing Arsenal are interested in a GK in the summer, although have been looking at a less modest target. I suspect Arsenal will not really want such a deal, but after all it is Kia in charge.

1.) 18 Jan 2021 15:08:35
I hate to think an agent has such influence Ed. Can you see this ever changing at Arsenal?

{Ed002's Note - Not whilst Edu is there.}

2.) 18 Jan 2021 16:30:32
Thanks for the insight Ed, as ever.

3.) 18 Jan 2021 16:53:11
Surly we can get more than 25 million for bells.

{Ed002's Note - From whom?}

4.) 18 Jan 2021 17:54:14
I wouldn't want to sell Bellerin.

5.) 18 Jan 2021 19:39:01
Hi Ed, if such a swap is being considered Bellerin for Neto. Do you know who would be the right back option being considered or being suggested by Kia? Otherwise is Arsenal looking at right backs? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - Arsenal added Soares in the summer and have Ainsley Maitland-Niles as well - but I am not aware of them looking for a replacement at this time.}

6.) 20 Jan 2021 12:06:34
I’m sure somone would snap bells up for 35 plus easy.

{Ed047's Note - bearing in mind he’s a league one level player which one of those clubs do you think has that much money?

06 Jan 2021 15:04:44
Not sure how reliable the Independent are but they have just posted that we are willing to listen to offers for :
Torreira !

1.) 06 Jan 2021 16:10:21
100% keep torreira just imagine him amd partey.

2.) 06 Jan 2021 16:51:55
Keep Balogun, and Willock. Loan Nelson.

3.) 06 Jan 2021 16:58:30
It seems Mikel has given up on Balogan as he hasn't signed a new contract.

4.) 06 Jan 2021 17:39:19
Not sure Sally, he has been playing, and playing well, in Europe.

5.) 07 Jan 2021 15:17:37
Mikel has confirmed he wants to stay Alex, the club want him to stay but an agent is holding it up. I get the feeling the club won't be held to ransom.

{Ed047's Note - Sally if you could just distract g62 until this post drops off the bottom of the page that would be great.

I’m not sure he’ll survive if he sees Callum Chambers name on that list! 😢

6.) 07 Jan 2021 16:22:11
I hoped he hadn't noticed Ed:)

{Ed047's Note - me too, maybe I shouldn’t have said anything! 🤦‍♂️😂

7.) 08 Jan 2021 12:55:14
Didn't you notice d62 don't want to get involved in this thread.

05 Jan 2021 21:57:41
Good evening Eds, does the rumour of Ozil to DC United hold any water please?

{Ed002's Note - The MLS offers a potential solution for Oezil but money would potentially be a problem.}

1.) 05 Jan 2021 23:03:40
Thanks for the reply. If money could be sorted would you see a move this window Ed?

{Ed002's Note - Possibly.}

2.) 06 Jan 2021 08:53:19
Hi Ed, are arsenal wanting a high fee or reasonable fee for Ozil?

{Ed002's Note - There won't be a fee.}

3.) 06 Jan 2021 09:38:51
Thank you Ed.

4.) 06 Jan 2021 11:25:46
Ed, I’m a bit confused. Is fenerbache also trying to sign ozil?

{Ed002's Note - They also have an interest.}

5.) 06 Jan 2021 12:42:37
Thanks again.

I thought this Bernd Leno Open Mic Leicester 1-3 Arsenal video was fun :)

1.) 02 Mar 2021 23:53:10
I think it’s interesting Sally and how he’s been trained well as I can see he’s improving. You could say he has the best view of the game of all the players so he used to encourage and keep his teammates focus. It’s a good sign.

02 Mar 2021 21:00:41
Would definitely recommend open mic. Bernd Leno bossing from the back :)

01 Mar 2021 10:57:04
Morning Eds, please tell me the rumours I am seeing aren't true. Is Barcelona really interested in Mikel?

{Ed002's Note - I would not hold your breath.}

1.) 01 Mar 2021 12:02:42
Phew thanks Ed 😊.

2.) 01 Mar 2021 12:07:55
It makes sense that they would be watching him, amongst others. A protege of one of their most successful coaches and began his career with Barca. if in two seasons time Arsenal is in a strong position, with one or two trophies, having not been overindulged with money, it's the kind of option that would interest them.

3.) 01 Mar 2021 12:56:07
I bet every City Chelsea Liverpool and United fan is sitting there Just hoping Barcelona won't pip their club to the man who is top of their wish list should thier current manager leave 🌝

Mid table and all the consistency of the British weather! What fab wouldn't want that for thier team 😎.

4.) 01 Mar 2021 13:35:47
Please be true.

5.) 01 Mar 2021 15:28:06
Have we lost again? COYG.

6.) 01 Mar 2021 17:22:50
We are complely at other end the extreme scale this week Sussex mate 😎

2 wins and we worry about top clubs pinching our outstanding manager, two defeats and we should never have employed him in the first place.

Surely the rational way is taking the season on the whole?
We've been mid table or lower all season and that's hardly the credentials top clubs look for when looking for their next manager, why ever would they? It makes no logical sense at all.

7.) 01 Mar 2021 18:15:51
What I imagine these clubs look at is track record or potential as I am inclined to do . When MA arrived after Unai we were in a rubbish state ( no change from Wenger ) and MA had a real job on his hands. And he won a trophy ( not counting Community Shield - I miss RG ) Look at the players he`s bought in Gabriel and Partey and the yougsters coming through and finally getting rid of players most wanted rid of eg Ozil and Mustafi . We are also hopefully getting rid of what was called on here quite rightly the Cozy Club and changing those attitudes at a club can take time. If i make my mind up that MA has potential and will give him time then a 3-1 win or loss to Leicester won`t change my mind . I`d rather listen and trust ( for now ) someone who is paid handsomely for his opinions than listen to people who give plenty of advice for free. COYG.

{Ed077's Note - and I thought it was a public service on my part sharing my opinion here😉}

8.) 01 Mar 2021 18:28:03
HaHa Ed077 I`d just like to get paid at the moment! And the thumbs up was me replying to you not liking my own post - I miss RG COYG.

9.) 01 Mar 2021 19:27:02
And the results of his bringing in and getting rid of these players so far has been? A mid table position and inconsistent results and performances which have brought about that mid table position.
This is the realty of our season overall away from weekly up and down reactions and the reason I doubt very much Barcelona or any top club is going to come a knocking any time soon.

10.) 01 Mar 2021 23:28:38
I must stop reading these rumours Gunner, I need to get out more (I wish) 😄.

11.) 02 Mar 2021 07:49:09
You keep reading and posting whatever you wish Sally and as you know I will keep voicing my opinion :-)
Surely that's what it's all about, people feeling free to post and respond how they choose to rather than us all being preprogrammed Stepford fans :-)

27 Feb 2021 21:29:12
Strange article about Kolasinac and Mustafi leading a players' revolt at Schalke.

1.) 27 Feb 2021 21:54:54
Where is the article Sally?

2.) 28 Feb 2021 11:53:27
I tried to share links gunner but that's probably not acceptable on this site. It can be found on google.

{Ed001's Note - you have to remove the https:// bit from links or the spam filter swallows it up thinking it is just a bot trying to get links on the site.}

3.) 28 Feb 2021 13:48:19
Oh ok Sally thank you for trying, it's not really important anyway I was more interested in whether it was one of the usaul scandal mongers or something more credible and worth looking at really. I've learned to question the supplier of stories before I decide whether it's worth the time and effort of reading them🖒.

4.) 28 Feb 2021 14:28:36
Thanks for the clarification Ed.

5.) 28 Feb 2021 14:31:18
You are right Gunner, just I saw it on more than one site. As you say, its not important :
Bet you were pleased to see Calum getting a few minutes in Greece 😃.

6.) 28 Feb 2021 18:44:04
Hey Sally who could not be pleased by the sight of the ever more handsome Calum in an Arsenal shirt?

I think every Arsenal fan and most neutrals would have felt all they're troubles melt like lemon drops at just glancing at such a fine sight 😎.

7.) 28 Feb 2021 19:56:14
Nah, just you Gunner ;)

23 Feb 2021 23:00:49
Evening eds, is there anything in the rumour that Aliko Dangote is serious about buying Kroenkes shares?

{Ed002's Note - This has been going on for years and I have no feeling for what might be different at this time.}

1.) 24 Feb 2021 09:55:56
Ed, if I’m right I think you said he had a huge projects in Africa and he could look at Arsenal when they were completed.

2.) 24 Feb 2021 13:24:35
Thanks Ed.

3.) 24 Feb 2021 15:13:51
Yes Malaga, according to the report I read that's coming to fruition. Time will tell.

4.) 24 Feb 2021 16:10:01
Wouldn’t it be great sally

Imagine being sponsored by Dangote.

5.) 24 Feb 2021 16:59:19
Sally, Aliko’s personal wealth is 17.8 billion dollars.

6.) 24 Feb 2021 16:53:27
I've no idea Malaga! I find the whole commercial ownership thing depressing. Oh for an owner who loves our club :)

7.) 24 Feb 2021 21:51:22
Right with you Sally. Personally I don't even care about owners spending tons of money on us. Just get the team to buy and sell intelligently, have a clear vision for success, and introduce some accountability. That's all I've ever wanted out of an owner, rich or not.

Just read that Balogan is 5th in line, behind Auba, Laca, Nketiah and Martinelli. If he signs the article says he will go out on loan, apparently that's the pathway the club has for him. Not sure if its true or not.
