I missed the first half and tuned in at 4 - 0! Wow! Great to see Havertz enjoying his football. I have a feeling he will become a club favourite . :)

We are stronger this year, especially in defence, and it was so nice to see our squad players get some minutes.

So h a p p y to be a gooner :)

Great result and well played Rice.

Great to see Kai in a more natural position and making a few runs in the box which we need. Rewarded with the winning goal. Well done for thst 👊.

Even Wrighty is indirectly questioning Kai ( who he has backed 100% ) and Arteta.

Ian Wright certainly feels that way. Speaking to Premier League Productions (06/ 11/ 23, 14:25) , the former striker admitted that Arsenal are "missing Xhaka. I think we are missing that dynamic in the game. "

The closest Kai came was the rash stupid tackles against Newcastle.

You are spot on 62 - Arteta is stubborn and has tried to solve problems that didn't really exist while ignoring the glaring deficiencies thst do.

We need someone to bring that spark back into the side and start propelling us forward not backwards.

That and constant needless tinkering to no real benefit has made us less great to watch despite some glittering 25 minute spells.

Think we are tougher to beat and tougher mentality. May be thst CM (? ) Attacker ( wolves dude ) and Striker ( anyone who know where the net is and gets into the box ) . Despite all the signings - we are still 3 key players short. Thst sits with Arteta and Edu.

No doubt the 12m on Jorginho, 65m on Kai and couple of other mediocre signings have tied our hands as we have no cash. salt in the wound

Kai really has to be a poor signing for me to miss Granit - that's a huge statement and interested to see if anyone agrees

What's the deal with Trossard - is he sulking so much he can't take a corner now. Is he a super-sub or good enough to be in starting 11

Does anyone else think our attack is lethargic and gives teams a chance to get bodies behind the ball. How many times against City did we pass to our goalie from at one stage attacking slowly their penalty box.

Are we now trying to play possession football? We have a super conservative defence with a CD as RB. If we mirror the City style - why aren't we attacking faster and converting possession quickly from the press in the opponents half

Am I grumpy, ungrateful? I'd say no as City will kick on once full side back and it's not like them to throw away 2 games already. If we want to compete, Board needs to ask Arteta some questions as do the fans.

Hello everyone, hope everyone is good.
Var was at the centre of the action last night.
Haven't seen any of it but would like to ask if Var got it right on the night.

Huge game tomorrow and squad looking shallow in some key areas. Hopefully we overcome those and get 3pts from Newcastle

Missing that Granit / Partey replacemrnt and not having enough striker fire power.

Who will be in goal? Ramsdale for me as think Raya has dropped the ball enough to be dropped even though I prefer him over Ramsdale

Who will partner Rice? Not a Jorginho fan, Don't want Kai anywhere near starting 11, Viera not good enough - guess that leaves Mo! Rice, Mo and Ode

Who will be in front 3? Martinelli, Saka and Eddie

Really hoping Ode, Saka and Martinelli are fully fit and ready to go as we need them

COYG! Let's beat them and make a big statement ❤️🤍❤️🤍

Arsenal squad from: Ramsdale, Raya, Hein; Gabriel, Cedric, Kiwior, Saliba, Tomiyasu, White, Zinchenko; Elneny, Havertz, Jorginho, Odegaard, Rice, Vieira; Martinelli, Nelson, Nketiah, Saka and Trossard.

Injured: Jesus (hamstring) , Partey (thigh) , Smith Rowe (knee) , Timber (knee)

My son in law told me this morning that in all the years he has been a season ticket holder and the years before that when he went when he was able to get a ticket, he has never experienced anything like as it was when Gabi scored, the stadium went mental, absolutely crazy.

Brilliant gesture from our captain, encouraging Emile, Mo and our youngster Sagoe Jr to take applause after the match. Classy :)

I saw lots of people saying Ramsdale didn't really do anything to be dropped and I did agree, that it seemed pretty unfair, so I was looking up the difference in their passing, to see if it seemed justified and the first thing that jumped out was Ramsdale's save percentage over the first 4 games and I don't know if he actually has been that harshly done by tbh.

In the first 4 games his save percentage was 55.56, only making 5 saves and conceding 4 in 4 games, that's pretty terrible at what most of us consider should be the reason he shouldn't be dropped, he's maybe not as good as distribution, but he saves goals. Raya made 4 saves just in last night's game, he also claimed the ball everytime it came in the box, making it look easy.

In terms of passing in the Everton game Raya had 93.75% accuracy, attempted 9 long passes, successful with 7, with an accuracy of 77.78%

In last night's game had an overall accuracy of 82.5%, attempted 17 long passes, with 12 successful with an accuracy of 70.59%

In the 4 games previously Ramsdale had an overall accuracy of 77.08%, attempting 33 long passes, successful with 11, with an accuracy of 33.33%

Maybe the added spectre of Raya and the added pressure has been unfair on Ramsdale and made him make mistakes, but Raya has taken his opportunity and looks far more composed, it looks like a totally justified decision to me.
