Pint half full or half empty, I think it's 2 PTS dropped then a hard earned point, chances missed, looked at the penalty incident again and to me it's a penalty but if we had taken the chances then no one would be talking about it.
Struggling why with all the attacking options we got, dribbling and pace why we are faffing about passing when we should take the opposition on and create things. I said this on a few occasions that our style of football is more suited to the CL than the Prem, but as someone as already posted we are 7 clear, unbeaten in CL this season, semi final of EFL and 4th round of the cup, so we must be doing something right.

Big game next Sunday against Utd who will want to prove yesterdays result wasn't a one off. If we were to lose that, then I would start to have serious doubts whether we are going to win the Prem. Sorry for the rant but I am just so frustrated that we keep missing these opportunities to widen the gap.
Take care everyone.

I'm not happy at dropping points. However Forest at home is not something to be highly disappointed with. I think it's time to take the boys to Dubai for a team bonding exercise. The Sun will do them great.

2.) 18 Jan 2026 12:40:33
Hi bill, hope alls good. just my opinion on yesterdays game. I thought we looked like a tired team. personally think there should have been more changes would like to have seen havertz and eze start. eze is a baller, just needs a few starts to get in to some sort of rhythm. he is more than capable of destroying teams on his own ( he tore spurs a new one) . don’t get me wrong I love odegaard but if he’s not quite at at it then give eze a go. we have a deeply talented squad. it’s time we used it to its full potential and it would be nice if arteta would sometimes change formation depending on who we are up against, watching yesterdays game thinking why don’t we go 4-4-2 one holding mid one attacking mid and two up top give forest two strikers to worry about.

there needs to be some flexibility in our set up and our in game management…if 4-3-3 isn’t working in a particular game mix it up, change formation. professional footballers of the quality we have should be able to adapt to any formation when required. stop all this too scared to lose tippy tappy football and really take it to the opposition. a few seasons ago we played some real swashbuckling football and was blowing teams away. we just didn’t have the squad depth to sustain it. hence the reason we fell short. now we have the squad to sustain a serious assault on all fonts. we need to release the handbrake and full throttle on. COYG/VTH ?⚪️❤️.

Hello Gabi I am good, hope you are also. Totally agree about Eze and the formations.
Take care Gabi mate.

Hello everyone, just wondering what people's view are on Lewis Smelly. Personally I thought he was poor Thursday night. don't know if he needs to be loaned out somewhere or sold on.

5.) 10 Jan 2026 15:54:37
Watch out folks, Sally's typos are contagious!

6.) 10 Jan 2026 16:06:40
He showed last season that he has great potential. I think maybe a loan in the summer, as I think we need all the players we can get at the moment with the injuries we keep getting.

7.) 11 Jan 2026 03:41:17
Theres a lot of potential in the young man, but it's fairly obvious why we are still in the market for a LB.

8.) 11 Jan 2026 10:17:28
Not convinced at all, far too error prone and too easy to get past. That LH Side is wide open whenever he's on the pitch.

9.) 12 Jan 2026 01:01:51
Are we in the market SW? Calafiori and Hincapie both play there. MLS is a young lad who has shown his youth and his potential in equal measure. He's an excellent player and just needs more experience, which he is getting.

10.) 12 Jan 2026 15:50:59
Strange one MLS, after last season, he looked really good and never saw Cala replacing him at start of this season.

But this season, in his minimal minutes, Skelly has looked way off it. Whether it is lack of minutes and his confidence or what, but currently without injuries he shouldn't be starting any games.

11.) 12 Jan 2026 16:40:07
As far as I can tell we've never been out of the LB market under Arteta, Wire.
But yeah, what I've heard is Cala's injuries and MLS's age/form have us interested again.

LB, LW and ST seem the most obvious positions for upgrade, though I'm excited to see how Kai can fit into this team!

12.) 13 Jan 2026 14:02:47
Fair enough mate, I just can't imagine we will dip into the market. If MLS was really playing poorly (I think he'll get better when he gets more chances) then Timber would be the natural fit on LB as 4th choice.

Agreed, must admit that I didn't think we'd miss Havertz all that much, but I really appreciate what he brings now that Gyokeres has led the line for us. Kai's touch and vision really is very good for a forward.

13.) 14 Jan 2026 17:13:04
Bit late to the party about MLS but I've read Arteta is thinking of trying him in midfield. I reckon he would do well there as an AM. Once we have a suitable backup for Califiori of course.

14.) 15 Jan 2026 01:04:16
"Arteta plays left-sided midfielder in midfield" would certainly by a shocking headline, Sally!

09 Jan 2026 05:19:30
Not going to sugar coat it. It was disappointing to say the least. Second half we were awful, no tempo in our play. Fans might say we still got a point after playing so bad is a plus, and I respect their view if they do, but me personally it was not the performance I was expecting.

Anyway we have to move on, the games are coming thick and fast. Take care everyone
COYG??❤️.

Looks like you wrote that for me Bill

I expected a win BUT BUT BUT, we have a 6 point lead so we are still firmly in the driving seat.

Ours to lose.

Just read about Maresca leaving Chelsea citing several reasons
1 win in 7 league games leaving them 15 PTS behind us. Disintergrating relationships with board, backroom staff and certain players.
I think it's worth mentioning that despite a big squad with big reputations there has been no slinging the toys out the pram when Mikel has rotated the squad and the togetherness of the squad, manager and the backroom staff is there for all to see.

COYG.
Happy New Year to the Eds, posters and your families have a safe and peaceful New Year, but not peaceful on this dates but screaming shouts of joy on these dates

Tbh Sally i think martinelli is the only one who we would get serious money for.
Just seen arteta's press conference where he was asked about Rodrygo, he ddnt comment on Rodrygo, s transfer itself but said we have come to the stage where only winning trophies is good enough.

Hello Mal mate hope you are well.
I have been very critical of him in the past, bust he has shown some good form this season especially as a impact sub, so I would be disappointed not heartbroken if he went.

What do you think of Saka this season, showing signs to me that he thinks he might be too good for the club, know he has signed a long term contract but that means sweet fa nowadays
Take care.

Well there are a few ATM that performing.
Ode and Saka for starters. Got a bit of sympathy for VG as he clearly doesn't get the service due to mainly Ode not releasing the ball quick enough.

If he was missing chance after chance, which he isn't, I would drop him.
Eze is the worry for me, needs a good long run in the first team instead of Ode who has been poor as a player and captain
Take care.
