Seeing rumours linking us with Ashworth. Not sure I'd like him at Arsenal.
1.) 13 Dec 2024 01:08:39
I'm sure I read he wanted Southgate at United, i hope we steer clear.

Hi Ed002
Andreas Skov Olsen - is he any good and do Arsenal have an interest?
{Ed002's Note - Andreas Skov Olsen (RW) Has had a very good time at Brugge since moving from Bologna. Long term interest of Spurs remains but they see the 30M asking price as high. Brentford consider him an option to replace Bryan Mbuemo. I am not aware of any approach by Arsenal.}
1.) 26 Aug 2024 10:47:11
Thanks Ed002.
Any changes in the in and out landscape for you? Do you know if Arsenal are done with ins for this window or if they're maybe trying to make something happen because of Jesus' injury?
{Ed002's Note - I don't think they have finished just yet.}
21 Feb 2024 15:01:46
Ed002, are Arsenal interested in Ederson da Silva, at Atalanta?
{Ed002's Note - I am not aware of any Arsenal interest and they have other targets.}

Rumour doing the round that Arsenal could offer ESR in a swap deal for Douglas Luiz.
ESR not really getting games with us.
1.) 13 Nov 2023 20:14:27
Shame if true. ESR is a better player than Havertz, and could do a good job in there if given the chance.
2.) 16 Nov 2023 14:01:09
I am a big ESR fan, but I am starting to wonder if he is going to another Jack Wilshire (also a player that I loved in an Arsenal shirt)
he seems to have never really had a sustained season without an injury and when you consider that he was ahead in his time scale of first team than Saka was and how far apart their careers look now I am for the first time starting to wonder if we would be better off moving on From ESR.
Which I really dislike saying out loud.

Ed02, if you have the time, I have a question about club ownership. So, a person can't own more than one football club in the same league. How does that work for teams that are legible for the same competitions, like Europa League, Champions league, etc?
{Ed002's Note - The rukes are related to majority ownership, so owning a small percentage is not an issue. For situations whener owners like the City Group own several sides, those with the lowest co-efficients will be excluded. For clubs like RBL and RBS the ownership structure was changed to accommodate them.}
1.) 14 Oct 2023 01:55:33
Thanks ed, so for example if Girona and city qualify for the CL, would Girona be excluded and if they are, would they drop to the Europa League or be totally excluded?
{Ed002's Note - The City Football Group do not have majority ownership of Girona.}

Firstly, just to make it clear, I'm not about "Arteta Out". However, the "Look at how far he's brought us" brigade can only cling to that mantra for so long. At some point we've got to expect better.
Yesterday's result would have put a smile on the faces of just one team's fans, and it wasn't us. In fact, more than being saddened by the result, we should be dismayed. United didn't just draw the game, they properly threatened to win it. We were second best in just about every aspect; and save for the heroics of Raya, we probably would, and should have been, behind.
Counting points, like it's a yardstick for any type of progress, seems to be where we're at. I'd hoped the yardstick would have been a cup or two - at the very least.
There was a time when top 4 was considered "the cosy club". In that regard, I guess we have progressed - to a top 2 (maybe) cosy club.
Congrats to Liverpool on winning the league and hopefully we give their lot a better run for their money next season.
P. S. Helder Glenn, sorry for any spoilers mate, since you're probably still watching the game.
1.) 10 Mar 2025 08:44:40
Hahaha!
2.) 10 Mar 2025 09:28:32
Nice post sharpie mate.
3.) 10 Mar 2025 23:01:28
Nice post - The “ Look at how far he's brought us" crowd is a tough one who stick up for Arteta whether he turns left or right. They have a point BUT no one is saying we haven’t improved. Question is can we win the league with him and should we bet the rest of our transfer kitty on him.
“We are still in the league “ - Jan 2025
“We didn’t sign a striker as waste of money as league is over” ~ Jan 2025
“Be careful as change doesn’t always pay “ - best let Liverpool know
Which one is it?
Invincibles were far from top points but they topped the league and won trophies like Wenger did in his first years. That’s without 12 fullbacks but domeone was wise enough to pass forward and have a striker ? ?.

After what happened in our last game against PSV, I think it's probably safe not to ask anyone for their Sunday predictions. Definitely not Highbury and Sparks.
1.) 07 Mar 2025 11:44:17
??????.
2.) 07 Mar 2025 13:58:41
United are always our bogey team. No matter how bad they are they always seem to show up and no matter how good we they always find a way to cause upset.
I really do hope the team are not over confident and expect united to roll over. This game will be much different from Tuesdays and we will need to dig team. I do have confidence in our team and believe we have enough in the team to over come them, but it certainly won't be easy.
3.) 07 Mar 2025 17:46:34
Don't like we got Manchester born Anthony Taylor for a ref.
4.) 07 Mar 2025 18:24:05
Muppet.
5.) 07 Mar 2025 20:02:24
Meh, been called worse. Guess I can only thank you for being kind, sparks ?.
6.) 07 Mar 2025 20:09:41
You're Welcome.

And in other news, Youri Tielemans has lost a stone. If anyone finds it, please return it to lost and found.

Gary Neville on Haaland throwing the ball at the back of Gabriel's head before running off when celebrating a last minute equaliser:
"Me and Carra laughed when we saw it because it's funny (he did say it could have been a red card) . "
Neville on Gabriel shouting in Haaland's face after an Arsenal goal:
"I think it's a bit disrespectful. I just didn't like that, it made me feel a little bit uneasy, it was a little bit disrespectful. "
Make it make sense.

Whoever made this video has way too much time on their hands, but also, I love it! ?

Tw*t ?
I use to hate the heat back home and was thankful for air conditioning. These days the old bones would relish it. I'd love to move but the wife doesn't fancy it. I regret all the jokes I use to make about being allowed 4 wives.
{Ed001's Note - love you too mate hahaha.
Maybe you should consider wife number 2?? ;-) }
03 Feb 2025 14:30:45
Stop showing off!
{Ed001's Note - sorry mate, I will stop now. I need to go inside now from the balcony as it is getting a bit chilly anyway. I doubt it is even 20c now, so I better go get a jumper on.}
03 Feb 2025 13:49:27
I'm getting older mate and finding the will to be funny is tiring me out. Ugh! Don't get me started about the weather. When I first came to these shores, I absolutely loved the cold, crisp weather. Like my will to be funny, my will for this weather is also slowly ebbing away.
Glad you're doing good, mate.
{Ed001's Note - we actually had a bit of rain here yesterday.}
03 Feb 2025 13:35:16
You won't hear me disagreeing with you Ed001 (j/ k) . Hope you're well, mate.
{Ed001's Note - I am good mate, I see your attempts at humour are not so good these days though! How is life in the sunny old UK?}
21 Nov 2024 12:00:26
Mate, would you believe I was minding my own business, met a girl (she was on holiday visiting a friend in Bahrain) , and that was it. Great when I was younger, but the cold weather doesn't fascinate me like it use to.
So to answer your question about what I did wrong - so so so many things ?.
{Ed001's Note - it all ended with 'met a girl'. That is life and soul destroying.}
13 Mar 2025 09:28:15
Ah yes, the old, "throw random words out there, like illogical and unreasoned" to try and make the person you don't agree with look bad.
Maybe 14 had the right idea staying away. This is getting pathetic.
12 Mar 2025 06:39:20
Sy, do you really need to have had a successful EPL career to see that we need a striker? "Some" of us armchair pundits have been on about it for a while now. He isn't conveying anything new, or insightful.
With regards to what Arteta has to do to stay - for me, it's keep us closely competitive, which he has done the last couple of seasons. He's definitely not managed that this season. People will talk about injuries and lack of depth, but that's why he, and everyone employed at board level, get paid the big bucks.
11 Mar 2025 22:23:55
I voted twice. Once was to test. In hindsight, I should have voted the opposite of my initial vote to even things out - but I didn't. Now I feel like I've cheated.
I voted in, for a few reasons. I like the camaraderie he's brought to the team. I can't see any better options available. I'd like to see what he can achieve with the pieces (striker for one) he needs in place.
11 Mar 2025 22:00:37
Sy, winning medals and playing under good managers doesn't necessarily give him the acumen needed to be a critic.
I've heard some utter bollox escape the mouth of Neville as a pundit, and that bloke has won plenty and played under the leagues most decorated manager.
11 Mar 2025 21:25:03
Looks like I may have done the initial vote on my phone. Looks like sessions aren't synced across devices.
{Ed033's Note - Correct.
