Evening all Ed's and fellow gunners, hope all's well. was just reading an article. (don't know if there's real truth in it) . stating that we are considering taking Leroy sané from Bayern when he's contract expires making the 28 year old winger a free transfer. (really hefty wages though, reportedly on £320grand a week at Bayern) . I personally feel if Arteta can get the best out of him, he'd be a solid addition to our squad. just wondered what you guys may think. if he's worth a go with the gunners.? . ?⚪️❤️.
{Ed002's Note - Leroy Sane (W/AM) Bayern Munich are open to a new contract but financial expectations are far apart. I expect Middle East might be a viable solution with Al Nassr. Newcastle has a declared interest. Liverpool were, and may still be, keen to take him as a Salah replacement. I would not rule out Arsenal taking him, as they do have interest. Free agent in the summer, but huge wage demands.}

Cheers Ed 002, thanks for insight, ✌?& ??.

Evening all Ed's and fellow gunners. hope alls well. only just found out that odegaard, saka and rice will not be on international duty for the up and coming games. in my humble opinion that's absolutely fantastic news for us gunners. give them the little rest bite they need and get them back fit and firing again. ?⚪️❤️ COYG/ VTH.
{Ed025's Note - i dont think anyone (players or supporters) enjoy these games Gabi, they are a waste of time, i hope the rest does the players good and they get back on the horse and start winning again mate, if they dont they can quickly find themselves out of the title race...so the pressure is on..
1.) 12 Nov 2024 21:44:40
Hi Ed025. yes mate pressure will definitely be on. and personally I have never been a fan of these nations league games, with the amount of games in the season. the burn out/ injury risks heightened, it’s madness. but hopefully ( fingers crossed very tightly) . the gunners away on international duty come back unscathed. and the ones that have thankfully dipped out can get the attention they require. would love to see us get back to the swashbuckling football of two seasons ago when we really played without any fear (handbrake off, full throttle on) . because when we do. I seriously believe we are more than a match for anyone. ONE TEAM THE ARSENAL/ ONE❤️.
{Ed025's Note - you are a very good side Gabi but i must admit i expected a bit better especially over the last few weeks mate, i still think you are missing a prolific goalscorer myself as at times you can look a bit toothless imo, i would love to see Arsenal win the title as i think its long overdue but you cant be dropping as many points as you have because Liverpool will be out of sight, heres hoping you get your mojo back and get back in the race my friend..
2.) 13 Nov 2024 08:59:02
Spot on assessment on the looking a bit toothless up front and needing a striker. crying out for one to really reach the next level.

Evening all Ed's and fellow gunners. hope all is well. was just reading that the Arsenal could be considering rosicky as replacement for edu. (how true, I don't know) . just something I've read. what a player he was for us (shame about all the injuries he had) . if true he would most definitely have the Arsenal's best interests at heart. might not be a bad shout. just wondered what you guys may think. ?⚪️❤️.
1.) 08 Nov 2024 20:32:30
Hello Gabi mate, Absolutely loved Rosicky, always played with high tempo looking to make things happen.
As you said Gabi terrible luck with injuries but seems to be doing a impressive job at Sparta Prague, so its a yes from me.

Just seen the news that Edu is off. oh well it's not the end of the world is it. I like Edu seems like a decent enough chap. was a good player for us. way back when. so good luck to him. my first thought was hopefully we will get someone decent who knows how to get transfers over the line a bit quicker. ( I mean come on, how long did it take us to get rice and califiori done) ?? and someone that might see the obvious that we all do, & go get us an elite striker. because we have been crying out for one for a while now. onwards and upwards. ARSENAL TILL I DIE. ?⚪️❤️.

Players Managers and backroom staff come and go Gabi mate but the club lives on after they go just as it lived on before they arrived.
Berti Mee and Charlie George George Graham and Tony Adams Arsene Wenger and Dennis Bergkamp to name but a few of the hundreds who have been a part of The Arsenal but never bigger than The Arsenal. I wish good luck to Edu, but in reality it is as always a case of, next please!
2.) 04 Nov 2024 21:06:53
He was only the Sporting Director. I swear 10 years ago no one had a clue who the person in that position was at any club.
I guess he can take some credit with our improvement but remember he was also part of the Emery era and some of the worst signings we’ve ever made using that agent who was his mate.
The 2 people who have rejuvenated our club are Arteta who has completely overhauled the playing, coaching and mentality of the club, and also Josh Kreonke who became more hands on following the super league fiasco.
A change of a Sporting Director won’t make a difference to anything.
3.) 05 Nov 2024 00:22:16
After Sterlings arrival I can't say that I'm disappointed.
4.) 05 Nov 2024 06:51:42
Past the kneejerk reaction stage and given some time to think about the players he's actually brought in, not to mention the money spent on players . he should have actually been sacked.
Sure he's a decent guy, but we've spent some crazy money on his watch and we don't really have the players to show for it. The 105 million for Rice still irritates me for some reason, as does the 60+ on Havertz. Then there's the real gems, like Pepe, David Luiz, Willian, Soares, and obviously Sterling.
He's made some good buys too, I won't deny that. However, after spending close to a billion quid, we still have nowhere close to the quality or depth of City.
We've been through some keepers too. I didn't realize it was as many. Leno, Ramsdale, Ryan, Turner, Runarsson, Martinez.
Hopefully we get someone in that is going to take the job seriously.
{Ed001's Note - I was discussing it with Ed77 yesterday and we both said exactly the same thing about him - sells low but buys high. It looks to me like a potentially very positive moment for Arsenal.}
5.) 05 Nov 2024 09:25:44
Not mention Tavares and Lokonga as well, still got high hopes of Viera though.
6.) 05 Nov 2024 16:32:04
I really don't know for sure about how we do our transfers. But i guess that since Arteta is now a 'manager' his job is to identify the players and Edu then takes care of the financial side. And if that really is the case then Edu hasn't done a particularly great job, apart from perhaps last summer's sales at least.
The impression i have is that Arteta is gradually gaining more and more control at the expense of Edu. While i'm not suggesting that has created problems between the two, i think it's not good for the club. The sporting director should have his own say when it comes to recruitment and i'm wondering whether Arteta has become too powerful for Edu.
Again i don't know anything really but that's the view i have looking from the outside.
{Ed002's Note - The scouting system identifies players and Arteta and Edu have an input. Perhaps rather two much input from Edu.}
7.) 05 Nov 2024 18:04:07
Thanks for clearing that up Ed.
8.) 05 Nov 2024 21:08:11
Between him and Arteta they have signed some real duds, bought a few stars and purchased expensive players we don’t need while not getting payers we do need. We will move on.
Not sure our contract situation or selling well has changed much.
Deals still took forever
Nothing against him - wish him Well and thanks for Rice.
02 Nov 2024 16:51:45
Seriously need to wake up. and get on some sort of a run. we weren't good enough at all today. just think we had the opportunity to sign isak a couple of seasons ago.
1.) 04 Nov 2024 02:09:45
After 10 games 1.8 points per game, that form won't even get us in the top 4.
The only good news is that everyone else is dropping points, but if we don't snap into gear immediately it's gone.
27 Oct 2024 21:16:36
Evening all Ed's and fellow gunners, hope all's well. just a couple of thoughts on the game today. good to see timber and saka back (great goal) . i think Liverpool are a decent enough team. but I honestly believe if we had a fully fit squad and was able to field our strongest first eleven today we would have battered them. how the heck was van-dyke not sent off for kicking out at havertz not once but twice right in front of the referee as well. and how the heck is he giving a foul for kiwior header leading to us having a legitimate goal disallowed at the end.? . he used his height and determination to fairly win the ball. quite puzzling really as van-dyke smashed a few of players when aggressively winning headers throughout the game and Taylor not once blew for a free kick in our favour. that's my gripe over and just want say well done the ARSENAL we got a lot going on at the moment regarding injuries and the odd suspension. but once we get everyone back fit and firing. we're going to start smashing teams and we will 100% be right back in the mix. ONE TEAM THE ARSENAL/ ONE L❤️VE ?⚪️❤️ COYG/ VTH.
1.) 27 Oct 2024 21:58:52
Remember when Gabriel Paulista got sent off for kicking out at Costa and missing game is rotten to the core.
2.) 27 Oct 2024 23:02:45
What should have been but wasn't, what shouldn't have been but was! If dwelling on that and reliving it over and over doesn't make you happy, what will?

Hi all. decent away win yesterday. we took our foot off the gas early in the second half and made sure we didn’t let them score again. regarding the West Ham goals… I think raya probably should have done a bit better with the first one. second one was an unreal free kick placed to perfection… BUT 100% was never a free kick in the first place. Declan’s tackle on the West Ham lad was absolutely first class, clearly taking the ball first. my initial reaction was… wow what a tackle by decs. so when Taylor the T*#T blew for the free kick, I was a bit puzzled. still no real harm done. and if any of you said 2-5 away win guaranteed. I’d have taken that all day long. just wanted to say it’s so good to have captain fantastic ode back. he’s vision and range of passing are on another level. ?⚪️❤️ COYG/ VTH.

Hi mal, I absolutely love the pair of them….
