No doubt JW played well yesterday and ended the season well. Just wondering where you guys see him fitting into the team next season?

I don't rate him highly enough of warranting a place in the starting eleven so just curious to see what you guys think.

His football ability has never been in question but personally I doubt his mentality to ever be a very top player.
So far he hasn't shown the ability to learn from his mistakes both on and off the pitch but if he can learn to be less rash in his tackling and copy the Ox and Sanchez who both immediately start trying to retrieve the ball when they lose it where Jacks natural instinct is to put his hands on his hips and look to the ref for 10-15 seconds before rejoining the game.
Not being able to command a starting place in our best 11 and having to work hard to even make the bench could just be the making of him I hope because being talked of for so long as ours and England's future has done Jack the person little favours as he has in the past like many before him believed his own publicity and let himself believe he'd already made it.
If he can on merit win a regular starting place that will be brilliant news for every one.

I personally don't have a problem with his mentality. He reminds of Gerrard with pure passion for arsenal! We need to get behind any player who plays 110% for the team he loves. You very rarely get a player with his ability and willing to die for the cause every game. Without his injuries he would have been wengers first name on the team sheet every week! Wenger loves him and so should we.

Well he has Ramsey/Ox/Cazorla/Ozil to compete with.

I see next season as a similar mould to the team that played the last 2/3 months for us.

Coquelain - Cazorla/Wilshere
Ox/ Ramsey - Ozil - Sanchez
Walcott - Giroud

If he works hard and matures as a player and person, he could displace Cazorla as the box to box playmaker.

I agree Detroit let's hope Caz carry's on next season as he did in the second half of last season but Jack still displaces him because he's even better still, that's what we should all want to see but as always Jacks attitude will go a long way to determine that.
I'd love to see Sanchez stuck on the bench because the rest have surpassed his ability and work rate :-) hello premier league champions league and world club champion's not to mention triple FA cup winners plus well done the reserves on winning the capital one cup when that day get here :-)

Keeping JW sends the right message internally and externally. We promote from within if you are good enough and we are not a selling club anymore

there's plenty room in the SQUAD for him especially as we need to compete on 3 fronts next season and progress further in league & UEFA champs league

I can see him switching in / out with Ramsey and Caz.

Interesting how Rooney mentioned how he and Jack already have an understanding- think WR is saying Arsene....come and get me??

In my mind we would be triple dumbos to let Jack go. He has abilities that all the current English wannabees in midfield don't have. He can not only go past people, tackle and pass the ball he can also see and feel the movement of players around him. A little bit of polishing and an injury free'ish season will see him as the man. A LOT of bashing his head against a hard place and gettinghim to dump the chumps who hang around him he could get to be Arsenal captain as he has the passion.
